00:00The Caribbean influences everything about our products.
00:02Hi Somos, I'm Lali, and I am one of the founders of Romani Beauty MD.
00:06Romani Beauty MD is Guyanese Dominican owned.
00:09We are first gen Caribbean women just trying to elevate vegan skincare and doctor formulated cosmetics.
00:15What we have here are pastoral oil lip glosses.
00:18We have hair care with batana oil, soursop, avocado oil.
00:21And we also have our moisturizers that are good for eczema psoriasis, our oatmeal oasis.
00:26And we also have our tropical ting moisturizers with different scents.
00:30We try to solve everyday problems of eczema psoriasis, alopecia, thyroid problems, hair loss, and also having clean ingredient skincare.
00:40The Caribbean influences everything about our products.
00:42So our Sour Stop Silk, for example, is a hair mask, but it is a recipe from my cousin's grandmother.
00:48She's Guyanese.
00:49I genuinely want people to feel like they're buying a product that they can trust.
00:54We're very transparent about the things that we use.
00:56We always ask for feedback.
00:58We also have personal touches in any order.
01:01The bodega that you see back here, this wall, was actually made by my boyfriend, who is a graphic designer,
01:06and my cousin, who is running the counter.
01:07They're both artists.
01:08We're like, you know what would be really cool this year if we had the chance to be back at
01:12Essence Fest?
01:13We should make a bodega because, you know, our family is also from New York.
01:16We love a cornerstone vibe.
01:17That's where you go to connect, even on a day-to-day basis if it's just for, like, your regular
01:22cup of coffee.
01:22We just had to bring the real meaning of community back, make you feel like you actually know somebody, know
01:27your neighbor.
