00:02In today's episode, we're going to test a variety of eyebrow products that claim to
00:05be universal for a bunch of different skin tones.
00:07But before we get into it, hit subscribe below.
00:10I don't do my brows all the time.
00:13I waxed them twice in college and I went once and it was amazing and then I went again
00:18and it was gone.
00:20So I was like, nope, never again.
00:22But now that I have a big girl job and have to be presentable, I put on makeup and do
00:26my brows.
00:27You can't see my brows.
00:28I'm very conscious of that.
00:30This is the first time I've ever left a house without putting my eyebrows on.
00:32When I first started doing my brows, I was like 13 or 14.
00:37My mom was concerned that I did not look like a little girl anymore, so she started to shape
00:43them for me.
00:43But then I started doing them myself and I got very out of control very quickly.
00:47And I obviously took too much hair off and she told me very early in our process doing
00:52this, she was like, don't take too much hair off, you're going to want these brows and I
00:55like regret now that I went so hard with the teeth.
00:58You don't know what you're talking about.
00:59Yeah.
01:00Let's get into doing our brows.
01:02I'm going to start doing my brows first.
01:03First thing I do is kind of run my spoolie through them.
01:06I use the ABH Brow Wiz in Ebony, which is kind of dark for me when I have braids in
01:11because
01:12I feel like the braids, they're a lot of a look, you know, and I just need some thicker
01:16eyebrows to frame my face.
01:18I start out in the middle where my natural brows are a little bit thicker anyway, and I don't
01:24really touch the tip because I like that faded look.
01:28And then the most shaping that I do is on the top.
01:32Start out a little bit thicker.
01:34And when I get to like where the peak is before it goes down, I start to kind of like
01:38round
01:39out the line I'm making.
01:41And that's pretty much my brow.
01:43This one is my problem eyebrow.
01:45Like this is, you know, sisters, not twins.
01:47This is like cousin far removed.
01:55After I do that, I use clear brow gel just to like keep them together because I don't
02:01wax my eyebrows.
02:03And again, they're pretty unruly up close.
02:05This is the Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel.
02:09The clear is really like forgiving.
02:11So some brow gels have color and like you can totally see if you like mess up.
02:16Yeah, yeah.
02:16This is like, I can just go like, woo!
02:17Well, can you go like, woo!
02:22Next up, I use NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Amande.
02:27That's what it's called.
02:28And I only do it on the bottom of my brow.
02:31And I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills brush in 20.
02:34So I dip that into my concealer.
02:37I don't draw a complete line.
02:39Like I kind of go at the edge and then go down.
02:42Then I use my ring finger and just like lightly blend that in.
02:46So that is my brow routine.
02:53So my brow routine, to me it's kind of lazy.
02:56I don't really, it just like can slap some pencil on really quick and then I lay my unruly hairs
03:00down.
03:00But I also use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Ebony.
03:05But I start with combing them up.
03:08And then I just make hair like strokes with the pencil to find the places I feel are a little
03:15sparse.
03:16I also don't like to fill my brow in like all the, like my, I like these little like tail
03:21end things that come all the way down here.
03:22But because they're so bushy, I just like to just stop like right, like right here.
03:27And I feel like that looks a little more natural to me.
03:29And then I use a clear brow gel from NYX to make sure that the unruly hairs are laying down.
03:37So my left brow is my problem brow.
03:40You know who also has a problem brow? Beyonce.
03:43And I think about that because this, she, I have a hair that like sticks up all the time.
03:47And so does she. So it always makes me feel better.
03:49And that's it for me.
03:54I used to use Anastasia.
03:56And now I use the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil.
03:59Just realizing that it's called Goof Proof.
04:02I love that it's slanted.
04:04I do the opposite of you guys.
04:05I kind of want them to be like filled in and fuzzy, if that makes sense.
04:09I brush them out.
04:11I brush them kind of slanted and then down here I curve at the corner.
04:15I usually start at the bottom and go, try to go from the corner of my eye up.
04:20Sometimes I end up out here and then I pull away and I'm like, whoa.
04:25So I try to get to the bottom and just do, go straight over.
04:32I don't really have much over here, but I try to go where like the like little ends of the
04:38hairs are.
04:39And take the slanted point and go to the pointy side and just place it.
04:44And then do like a straight line all the way to the top of the arch here.
04:49Wait, it doesn't bother you that you're like brushing against the...
04:53No.
04:53That actually irritates me.
04:54Is it like nails on a chalkboard?
04:56It's not nails on a chalkboard, but it's just so strange.
04:58I'm like, well, how will she get them to lay back down?
05:00Yeah, no.
05:01If I do that, it's done.
05:03Same.
05:03Every day, I'll just like wash my face.
05:06To start over.
05:07And then that's kind of it.
05:08Oh wow.
05:09That looks great.
05:10That was so good.
05:11And then it's over.
05:15So these were all of our brow routines and now we're going to be trying the Universal Brow
05:19Products.
05:20First up is the Bare Minerals Brow Master.
05:23It's a pomade with a brush and it is in the color Universal Tote.
05:28Which is a bold, bold claim.
05:30Universal, everybody.
05:33Okay.
05:34Nope.
05:34This is a nay.
05:35Wait, wait, wait.
05:36So not only am I not covering any of my bald patches, but this coloring is just ashy.
05:41How are you supposed to move this product?
05:43It dries super quick.
05:45I like it on you actually because it's very pretty.
05:48You perfect that shape.
05:49So taupe is your jam.
05:50Taupe is my jam.
05:51And is anything even happening on my eyebrow?
05:54No.
05:55No.
05:55It looks like a highlight almost.
05:57You should keep it maybe for that reason.
05:59I honestly would just change the color.
06:01If this were a deeper brown suited for someone with a deeper skin tone like mine, I would love
06:05it because I love the way it makes my brows look.
06:08I love that it's laying down the hairs.
06:11But this color is just unforgivable.
06:14It's a no for me, dawg.
06:15Same.
06:18I don't know.
06:19I like my pencil.
06:20It does look, it looks, I think it looks good on me.

06:29Okay, now we're going to try another Universal Tote.
06:31This time from IT Cosmetics.
06:32We're going to try their brow power and see how we all make out.

06:45I'm liking better than the pomade.
06:47Okay, this might actually be Universal for me.

07:03A Universal Tote that is actually Universal.

07:11So for our last pencil, we're going to be using the Ofra Eyebrow Pencil in the color Universal.
07:19Universal again.
07:20I don't like that it doesn't have a spoolie.

07:23I don't know like what to do with my hand.
07:25It's very waxy too.
07:27It's so sticky.
07:31Yes.
07:32That's what it is.
07:33You can't wear a hat with this.

07:40I was just going to be like, you can't sweat.

07:43I think it looks pretty on you for some reason.

07:47Yeah, it just makes your eyebrows look very natural and like...

07:51No, but like in that glossier like, I'm effortlessly like pretty.

08:01Okay, I actually don't hate this now that I've like brushed it out.
08:03But this is my better eyebrow and it doesn't have as many patches.
08:06I don't think this would go for my problem eyebrow.
08:09I would give it like a maybe.

08:12Like a soft yes.
08:17Sure.
08:18It's fine.
08:19I wouldn't pay for it though.
08:21But it's fine.
08:21I would give it a sure as well.
08:27So for our final product we are using the Givenchy Mr. Brow Groom.
08:31And it's a universal brow setter in the color transparent.
08:35I like this good little brush though.
08:37Oh, I like that.
08:37Yeah.
08:37Oh, it's angled.
08:39Yes.
08:39It's going to like get in the good places.
08:43I feel like it's like plumping them up.
08:45And they look a little shiny but not in a way that bothers me.
08:49It also made the greasy pencil, the Orpher one, look more natural.
08:55Yeah.
08:55It looks way better now.
08:56But it makes the IT Cosmetics one look really smooth and soft.
09:00I also just can't get over the detail of that brush.
09:04That's so smart.
09:05I love the IT Cosmetics side.
09:07This is my new favorite eyebrow, which is my problem eyebrow.

09:18I don't know if I would buy it because it's Givenchy.
09:21I can't afford that.
09:24I am actually going to swap out my Anastasia and my NYX for the IT Cosmetics and the Givenchy.
09:31I was never truly sold on the Anastasia brow pencil.
09:36But this I love and I think this is my new favorite thing.
09:40I am like a part of the cult following for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz.
09:47With that being said, even though I love this guy, IT Cosmetics worked.
09:53And it made my problem brow my good brow.
09:57That is the key.
09:58It did that, yes.
09:59I forgot that my left brow was problematic when I used this.
10:03I like the fact that it is hard and I feel like I won't use as much of it.
10:07It will last me longer.
10:08And I also want to steal Sloan's mapping out of my arch and where it should start at the
10:14inside and the end.
10:15Yeah.
10:16That is amazing.
