00:02Today we're going to be showing you a bunch of easy tips and tricks to incorporate Scotch
00:05Tape into your beauty routine.
00:07Okay Val, let's tell me why we're using Scotch Tape today.
00:10Scotch Tape is super duper handy whenever it comes to beauty.
00:13It doesn't hurt the skin whenever you apply it.
00:15It helps create sharp lines when you're creating eye looks.
00:18It even works magic on your nails.
00:20As a makeup novice myself, I'm excited to give it a test.
00:23So let's start with the cat eye.
00:25All you have to do is take a piece of Scotch Tape and apply it to the outer corner of
00:31the eye.
00:31Do it under your lashes and follow the angle of your lower lash line up so you always have
00:39the perfect angle.
00:40And you just gently tap it in so it's a little bit easier whenever it comes off.
00:45And I usually work from the outside in but some work a little bit closer to the lash line
00:53and then work their way out.
00:55And we're just going to work on the outer corner for now so you can see the results.
00:59And then we're just going to peel off the tape.
01:03Bam.
01:03Super sharp.
01:04Wow.
01:05I'm actually really impressed.
01:08That's awesome.
01:09So next up we're going to try it with shadows.
01:11Awesome.
01:12Again we're just going to take a little bit of tape and we're also going to apply it to
01:17the outer corner of the eye under the lower lash line.
01:20So we're just going to use a little bit of silver shadow.
01:24For this one since we're just trying to apply the shadow we're just patting it on slowly so
01:29we get as much of the shadow on there as possible.
01:33You'll see that the shadow is falling out directly onto the Scotch Tape so it's keeping
01:38it off of your skin.
01:41We're just going to peel off the tape.
01:44Let's start from the outer corner.
01:46There we go.
01:47Cool.
01:48I'm really impressed with the line.
01:50It actually falls perfectly along the cat eye line where the tape was.
01:56So I would definitely reuse the tape trick just maybe with like a dusty rose color instead
02:05of the dark.
02:06Yeah definitely.
02:06So the last trick that I'm going to show you actually has to do with your manicures.
02:10I'm a mess when I paint my own nails so definitely looking forward to seeing how this trick is
02:14done.
02:14All you need is a bit of tape and you can create whatever angle you want.
02:20We're just going to do like right across.
02:23Let's do another little bit of tape so you can actually create like a triangle.
02:27And you can layer them on in whatever shape you want.
02:30Usually geometrics work best.
02:32Once we do that and we set up the shape just going to go on ahead and paint right over
02:39it.
02:40This one definitely takes a little bit more practice and finagling with but once you get
02:45the technique down you can create really amazing stuff.
