00:10Today I will be dyeing my hair to a pastel pink and getting it cut to a short bob.

00:19So for the past few years, I've been in the performance industry,
00:22doing theater, music theater, everything on a stage.
00:26And changing my hair color or getting it cut was seen as a huge, huge career change
00:33regarding the roles you'll play or how you're seen on stage.
00:38And it's really looked down upon.
00:40I've decided to take a step back from the performance industry.
00:43And because of that, I just feel like I can do whatever I want with my hair.
00:48And it's really exciting.
00:49In high school, I played around with dyeing my hair a darker brown.
00:53And I didn't really feel like it was me.
00:54But I've been highlighting it for the past three years or so.
00:58And over the summer, I played around with dip dyeing my ends pink.
01:03And I really, really liked it.
01:05That change was just the start and the spark that started this whole transition.

01:45The short bob is a very carefree hairstyle, in my opinion.
01:50I'm excited to just kind of let it be and not have it be in my face.

02:32So my hair, to me, expresses a lot of personality.
02:35And especially because I've never done a drastic change and I feel like I am going through
02:41a career assessment, a life assessment, if you will.
02:45I definitely think it's time for my hair to reflect that as well.
02:49I think I've been doing it in my appearance with my clothes.
02:52I've been trying out more risky fashion trends.
02:55And I'm ready for my hair to reflect that pep in my step and change as well.

03:18Besides highlights, I've never bleached it or done it a permanent full color.
03:23Of course I'm nervous that I'm going to be like, oh, I don't know if this is exactly what I

03:28But your hair, you can change it whenever you want.

04:22I know that everyone's going to question it because of that reason.
04:26And to that, I say like, I'm just going through a change.

04:30I'm really happy about the change.
04:33And I like the unexpected.
