00:08Hi, my name is Brianna, and this is Hair Me Out. Today I'm going to dye my hair blonde and
00:12cut it into a lob, but before we do, subscribe below.
00:15I've never dyed my hair before, and I'm really, really nervous to make this change.
00:20So my biggest inspiration is my mom.
00:22She's been blonde for as long as I've known her my whole life in various styles and shades,
00:27even though she was naturally dark-haired like me.
00:29I've also found some inspiration in Jennifer Lawrence and the lob that she did that was blonde while she was
00:35in the movie Passengers.
00:37I thought that was a really cool look on her, and I hope that it also looks good on me.
00:41Now we're going to head over to the Sally Hershberger salon, and I'm going to meet with my colorist Natalie
00:45to start the transformation.
00:48So, are you ready today for your transformation?
00:50Yes, I am ready. I'm a little bit nervous, but mostly excited.
00:54I'm going to do slow and steady, and I can show you guys a nice, clean part in the world.
00:57So, I'm going to introduce you to Stephanie. She's going to be the one to be cutting your hair today.
01:00So, I'm going to start by cutting your length, and then Natalie's going to do all the coloring,
01:04and then I'm going to end by detailing it.
01:10It's not as shocking as I thought it would be, you know? Yet.
01:19You look like a five-year-old!
01:32It was around my age when mom had dyed her hair, and I think a lot of that was due
01:36to the fact that she had premature gray hairs, which I do as well.
01:39So, I'm really excited to cover them up, or at least make them more manageable.
01:48Something about this reminds me of, like, a nun or something.
01:52Space nun.
01:53Yeah, space nun. Exactly.

01:58I'm blonde.
02:03I've had brown hair my whole life, and I've always really identified as a brunette, and it's really a part
02:07of who I am.
02:09But, at the same time, I'm really excited to make a dramatic change.
02:13There's so many things going on right now in my life, and I'm really excited to kind of take control
02:18of my hair.
02:34Now I'm going to do the second round.
02:36What I'm going to do is lift these up now, just to get a little bit lighter light to match
02:39the room.
03:03I'm going to do a little root shadow, just to take the edge off, and keep it nice and clean.
03:12I'm really nervous it's going to look bad, especially because I've never dyed my hair before.
03:17I've heard it can change your texture, and I'm afraid that it won't feel the same, style the same,
03:21and I'm also afraid that it's going to be yellow instead of the icy blonde look I'm going for.
03:27But, like I said, my mom has been blonde all of her life, and she's rocking it, so I hope
