00:03A mantra that I live by is, your beauty is my life.
00:18So the one thing I wanted to share about today, why it's such a big day, is that it's actually
00:25the first time that I've, sorry, I've ever left the house with no makeup on.
00:32Anybody who has struggled with, I don't even, I hate to even say the word, guys, acne, knows
00:41that it's a process.
00:42And sometimes days are better than others, sometimes weeks are better than others, or
00:47months even.
00:48That's why I feel like I'm finally ready to kind of take that step to have a procedure.
00:53My name is Lindsay, and I am getting microneedled.
01:04The reason that microneedling is such a big hit on the market today is because it's a noninvasive
01:12instant gratification within one week.
01:14For the last 20 years, I've been a skin expert.
01:17And it started way back when I was just a child in Romania, Bucharest.
01:23My mother, she also is a cosmetologist and a medical aesthetician.
01:28So I pretty much was brought up in that industry from day one.
01:32I was made to do this.
01:33It makes me so proud to be able to change the way clients look at themselves and they're
01:39happy about their own skin.
01:48And what's so great is that if you have damaged skin by, you know, sun damage, acne scars, hyperpigmentation,
01:58stretch marks, it's an instant brightness to the skin and tightening the pores.
02:06So there's different types of needle sizes.
02:08Best for over-the-counter is to purchase a 0.5 and anything over that is more for clinical
02:15use.
02:16You cannot cause scar tissue if you're using an over-the-counter needle size.
02:23You know, what I've been doing with my skin since it's gotten bad is kind of trying different
02:28products.
02:29Retinoids, vitamin C, things that brighten, things that work on the fine lines.
02:33But the problem is, is that always has been this kind of like, I take care of the fine
02:37lines, but then my skin would break out.
02:39My skin is very, very sensitive.
02:41It's combination, it's dry, it's finicky.
02:45And I think actually that's the thing that scares me most about getting microneedling is
02:51that I don't know what it's going to look like after.
02:56And I mean that I'm actually worried that it's going to be worse.
03:01And that's my biggest fear.
03:14I want to get your skin looking perfect, so I'm just going to kind of come in and do
03:18my magic.
03:19Okay.
03:21I cleanse the skin, then I disinfect the skin.
03:35After numbing, we begin the treatments.
04:01Microneedling creates microscopic punctures into the skin.
04:23Okay.
04:23Okay, so now let's sit up.
04:24Okay.
04:25And here you go.
04:26So you're a little pink.
04:30It's been three days since I did the microneedling.
04:33Since the treatment, I've noticed that my makeup goes on significantly smoother.
04:39The texture of my skin is better.
04:41It's just smoother and brighter overall.
04:43I'm really happy that I went and saw Kat and that she could give me very specific directions
04:47on how to deal with my skin, which is sensitive and problematic.
04:52And so now I feel much more comfortable working with the microneedling roller at home.
