00:00Wall Street's main indexes closed higher on Tuesday as a steep rally in semiconductor shares
00:05helped shift the focus away from the latest Middle East hostilities and tariff battles,
00:10while investors looked ahead to major technology earnings reports for clues on the future of the
00:15AI trade. Gains in recently bettered semiconductor stocks provided huge support for the main U.S.
00:21stocks indexes and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rallied sharply in its second consecutive
00:26advance after ending Friday more than 20 percent below its late June record high.
00:32We continue to get good earnings news from companies that are reporting in the second
00:38quarter earnings season and we're seeing that across technology. One of the things
00:42that has been phenomenal about the S&P 500 all through 2026 is not only the strength of earnings
00:49that we've seen but the fact that companies continue to revise their outlook higher. The AI boom
00:56that has been driving the markets the last few years continues to pick up steam and we're seeing
01:01that in the earnings numbers that are already coming out in the tech sector and we should be
01:05prepared to continue to see this type of good news in the coming weeks.
