00:11anda sedang bersama Sekabar Aziz
00:13dan pada pagi ini kita nak bercakap tentang satu film yang akan disiarkan pada hari ini
00:18iaitu film Mojoku Hilang Bila Komuniti Jadi Hero Sebenar
00:23kerana bila kita tengok dalam kebanyakan film
00:25biasanya kita menantikan kemunculan seorang hero yang akan selamatkan keadaan
00:29tapi kali ini dalam Mojoku Hilang
00:31hero sebenar mungkin bukan watak utama dia
01:03selamat pagi
01:04selamat pagi
01:05baik hari ini kita nak berbincang tentang cerita Mojoku Hilang
01:08bila kita tengok trailer itu kan
01:10saya tengok trailer itu
01:11mula-mula saya kurang faham
01:13sebab Mojoku Hilang
01:14Mojo itu adalah lembu itu
01:15dan ada watak utama dan juga ada watak Mimilana
01:19semua itu kan
01:19jadi mungkin untuk awalnya
01:22mungkin pengarahnya sendiri Min Lim
01:23will you tell us
01:25maybe sinopsis on what should we know about this film
01:28so the movie is about
01:30a man who lost his cow and found his purpose
01:32right
01:33it's quite funny
01:34a man lost his cow
01:35yeah lost his cow and found his purpose
01:38so basically the story begins
01:40with Adi
01:42who is the business development
01:43manager of a big dairy company
01:46called Mojok
01:47and the mascot of this dairy company
01:51is a viral cow called Mojo
01:53very unimpressed
01:55but for some reason very viral cow called Mojo
01:57and Mojok is going around the country
02:00trying to buy up all these small farms
02:02and there's a small farm in the north
02:05in Perlis called Kapo Semerapadi
02:06and Mojok have been really trying to buy them
02:09but they really do not want to sell
02:10and so the old men of Semerapadi
02:13decide on a stupid plan
02:15to go and kidnap Mojo
02:18they're not very good at what they do
02:20and so when the company find out
02:22who's kidnapped the cow
02:23they say well we can't call the police
02:26to go and get the cow back
02:27because these guys won't sell to us
02:28so Adi you go in there
02:30you use soft tactics
02:32to try and convince them to sell
02:33and you go get your Mojo back
02:35you go get the cow back
02:36so that's how we start the story
02:38Adi goes to the kampong
02:40he integrates with the kampong
02:41but as he integrates with the kampong
02:42and he falls in love with a feisty kampong girl
02:45he realizes that maybe
02:47selling might not be the best thing for them after all
02:50so what does he choose?
02:52does he choose between his career
02:54and himself
02:55or does he choose
02:57his newfound family
02:59so you'll have to watch to find out
03:01it's a quite funny concept of the movie
03:03because you know that Mojo
03:05Mojo means your groove
03:07so it's quite a play with words
03:09Mojo ku hilang
03:10hilang groove
03:10and the lembu is missing
03:12being stolen by the kampong people
03:13and now we
03:14kita nak tengok
03:16Gambit punya role
03:17in the film kan
03:18because Gambit
03:19you would say that Gambit
03:21works with
03:22Boom Magic
03:22Boom Magic
03:23yes
03:24and now Gambit
03:25bila Gambit dalam film ini
03:27Gambit dah dengar
03:28the concept of the film
03:29lembu hilang
03:30perlu cari ke kampong
03:32kampong yang curi lembu itu
03:33dan nak cari semangat kampong itu
03:34apa yang buatkan Gambit
03:36nak terima role dalam movie ini?
03:39for me
03:40dalam setiap role yang saya pilih
03:43setiap script
03:44setiap role yang saya pilih
03:45dia ada perbezaan kat situ kan
03:47kita kena tengok macam mana
03:48kadang-kadang kita berlakon pun
03:50kesesuaian dia lain
03:51tapi untuk film
03:53Mojo ku hilang ni
03:55saya ingat lagi
03:56sebab waktu ni
03:57saya baru nak
03:58pergi Indonesia shoot
04:00ada satu film tu
04:02nama dia Smooth Smothered
04:07lupa nama film ni
04:08nama original
04:10Malang Kundang
04:11Malang Kundang
04:11dengan Joko Anwar
04:13so right after that
04:13kita shoot film ni
04:15so film ni
04:17of course saya minta script dulu
04:18tapi
04:19saya rasa dalam film ni
04:20dia ada banyak faktor tau
04:22tapi antara satu faktor ni
04:24adalah tim
04:25sebab seboleh-bolehnya
04:26of course saya akan
04:27nak bekerja dengan semua orang
04:28tapi kadang-kadang
04:29dia seronok bila kita dapat
04:30bekerja sama dengan
04:31dengan
04:33team-team yang kita biasa
04:34dan team-team kita biasa tu pun
04:36ada banyak daripada
04:37segi kebiasaan
04:38sebab dalam tim ni
04:39khas dia pun ramai yang
04:40best
04:41and then
04:41the team
04:43so
04:43ini antara satu faktor
04:45dan definitely
04:45saya rasa semua orang
04:46yang shoot cerita ni
04:47sangat enjoy
04:49the process of shooting
04:50because
04:51shooting moment tu
04:52kita dapat enjoy
04:54tapi
04:54dalam enjoyment tu
04:55kita dapat push
04:56the quality
04:57as how we want
04:57for a rom-com
04:58so tu satu
04:59and then nombor dua
05:00of course
05:00saya tengok the script
05:02bila saya tengok the script pun
05:04saya rasa macam
05:04nak
05:05timing pun ok
05:07dan saya
05:08kan kadang-kadang
05:09kalau kita shoot ni
05:10tak
05:10dia susah nak shoot
05:12dengan binatang
05:12dengan
05:13dengan
05:13dengan
05:14memang pakai lembu betul lah kan
05:16so
05:16kalau you shoot
05:17you shoot dengan binatang
05:18dengan you shoot dengan
05:19baby
05:20tu antara benda yang
05:21paling difficult tau
05:22so
05:22so
05:24ya saya banyak
05:25bermain dengan lembu juga
05:26tapi saya
05:27saya rasa
05:28team tu best
05:29team actors
05:30you know
05:31team-team
05:31production team
05:33ada creative team
05:34yeah
05:35that's definitely
05:36the main reason
05:37banyak mainan lembu tu
05:38Gambit punya role memang
05:40melibatkan
05:40jaga lembu tu ke
05:42saya
05:43tidaklah jaga
05:44sepenuhnya
05:44saya macam jaga
05:46bila saya nak
05:48dalam cerita tu
05:49kalau kau kan apa
05:49role
05:50what is Gambit's role
05:51actually
05:52Gambit
05:53actually works for
05:53Boomagic
05:54and he is
05:55I'm his friend of mine
05:57friend of mine
05:58yeah so he works with him
05:59he's his friend
05:59but also they have
06:00this slight competitiveness
06:02love hit
06:02going on
06:06adi is
06:07kind of
06:08anak emas
06:08of the company
06:09Gambit
06:10wants that
06:13but unfortunately
06:14for Gambit
06:15Mojo
06:16goes missing
06:16because of him
06:18because of him
06:20so he has
06:21the kind of
06:22the pressure
06:22is on him
06:23but
06:24Adi is the one
06:25who is sent
06:25to retrieve Mojo
06:26so Gambit
06:27is working on
06:27his own plan
06:29to further
06:30his own career
06:31and that
06:32gets everybody
06:33into trouble
06:34this seems like
06:35a very fun
06:35idea of a film
06:36I'm sure
06:37the inspiration
06:38must have
06:39come from
06:39something
06:39so maybe
06:40you could
06:41tell us
06:41where did
06:42the inspiration
06:42from this
06:43film
06:43came from
06:44so this concept
06:45has been sitting
06:45on my desk
06:46for like 10 years
06:47now
06:47and it started
06:48out as a
06:49Raya Haji movie
06:52I really thought
06:53hey it would be
06:54very nice
06:54to do a Raya Haji film
06:55in which nothing
06:56happens to the cow
06:57the cow is great
06:59the cow is alive
07:00at the end
07:00of the film
07:02but what I really
07:03really liked
07:03about the original
07:04concept
07:04is I liked
07:06the Haji themes
07:08which are faith
07:09community
07:10and sacrifice
07:12because faith
07:13is not necessarily
07:14religious faith
07:15faith can be
07:16faith in yourself
07:17faith in your choices
07:18in your journey
07:19and I think
07:20that these themes
07:22they are universal
07:23it's not just
07:25Malay or Islamic
07:27or Malaysian
07:28it is universal
07:29and I thought
07:30these themes would be great
07:31to put in the story
07:32so that's kind of
07:33where I came from
07:33mungkin Gambit rasa
07:35bila dengar tema tu
07:35kenapa tema tu
07:37macam kita perlu
07:38tunjukkan kepada
07:39masyarakat dekat Malaysia
07:40apa signifikan tema tu
07:42tema mojuk
07:42yes tema mojuk
07:43yang nak tunjukkan
07:45semangat
07:45kebersamaan semua tu
07:47saya rasa
07:48pertama sebab
07:50sebenarnya
07:51kita rakyat Malaysia ni
07:52bukan hanya kita orang Melayu
07:54tapi kita rakyat Malaysia ni
07:55kita
07:56kita ada
07:57tema tu
07:58sebenarnya dalam kita
07:59kalau kita kata
08:00macam
08:01you know
08:01orang kita ni
08:02berbudi bahasa
08:03so
08:04tema ni sebenarnya
08:05kita semua ada
08:06dalam diri kita
08:07tapi
08:07mungkin
08:13keselaluan
08:14tema ni
08:15hidup
08:15itu mungkin
08:16jarang sekali
08:17kita dapat rasa sekarang
08:18kalau macam contohlah kan
08:20mungkin zaman dulu kan
08:21kita hidup
08:22bukan nak kata
08:23kampung je
08:24tapi
08:24berkomuniti
08:25berkerja
08:26macam
08:27time piramli
08:28time ni
08:29walaupun you
08:30Melayu
08:31India
08:31China
08:31tapi
08:32walaupun masa tu
08:33tak ada call
08:34one Malaysia
08:34contohnya
08:35pada masa tu
08:35tapi kita live
08:36sort of like
08:37kejiranan tu
08:39you know
08:39kita ada benda tu
08:40baik daripada
08:41dalam harmony
08:42baik dalam kehidupan
08:45baik dalam suasana
08:46baik dalam
08:47mungkin
08:48lagu-lagu pun
08:49yang dimainkan kan
08:50secara tidak langsung
08:51kita live that moment
08:52so saya rasa
08:54bila
08:55sebab bila kita shoot pun
08:56maksud saya tadi
08:57yang saya rasa happy tu
08:58sebab kita live that
08:59kita masih buat kerja kita
09:01tapi dalam keharmonian tu
09:03ada
09:03macam sekuruh keluarga
09:04yes
09:04so I think
09:06I kind of like
09:07saya macam
09:08tersend sebenarnya ni
09:09tapi bila saya shoot
09:10cerita ni
09:11saya dapat rasa perjalanan ni
09:13so saya juga rasa
09:15bila kita tengok
09:16kat wayang nanti
09:17hari ni
09:18you boleh tengok
09:19the whole thing
09:20you boleh rasa
09:21benda tu
09:22and saya rasa
09:22benda tu dah lama
09:23sangat kita tak rasa
09:24kan kalau macam
09:25zaman piramli ke apa
09:26kita sering rasa
09:27this feeling kan
09:28zaman movie
09:28Yasmin Ahmad
09:29semua tu
09:29itu memang
09:30tapi kekerapan dia
09:32tidak
09:34sering
09:34untuk sekarang
09:35memang dah jarang
09:36ya dengan
09:38yelah
09:39dengan film-film yang ada
09:40bukan nak kata
09:40tidak bagus
09:41betul-betul bagus
09:42tapi maksud saya
09:43daripada
09:44segi kekerapan
09:45keharmonian perasaan ini
09:47dia sudah
09:48lama tidak ada
09:49so saya rasa macam
09:50yelah
09:51Min pun dah simpan
09:52dari
09:5210 tahun
09:5310 tahun
09:54saya 21
09:54masa tu
09:55kena bagi tahu
09:56so
09:59ada reason lah
10:00benda tu berlaku
10:00tapi saya rasa
10:01audience akan dapat
10:02rasa benda tu
10:03and benda tu saya rasa
10:04sebagai seorang
10:05rakyat Malaysia
10:06tak kira lah kita ni
10:08berada di mana
10:08kita pergi
10:09sana ke
10:09kita pergi sini
10:10tapi at the end of the day
10:11we're still Malaysian
10:13right
10:13so this movie
10:16melambangkan itu
10:17dan saya yakin
10:19audience hanya perlu
10:21kewayang
10:22untuk merasakan
10:22benda ni
10:23because
10:23I think just watching
10:25the movie
10:25you make yourself
10:27being part of Malaysian
10:28not just for
10:29sharing but
10:30for yourself also
10:31so I feel that
10:32and also I feel like
10:33you know
10:34there's so many bad things
10:35happening in the world
10:36today
10:36yes
10:36right
10:38not just
10:38everywhere
10:40that I think people
10:41need to be reminded
10:42of these simple
10:44but very good values
10:45yes
10:46you know
10:46so that's something
10:47that we wanted to do
10:48yeah but it's very interesting
10:49maybe
10:50I nak centuh this topik a bit
10:51because now
10:52memang betul
10:53kata Jan Bek
10:54nilai kebersamaan
10:55unity itu
10:56harmony itu
10:56dah kurang
10:57because of teknologi
10:59I think teknologi
11:00and then bila dalam movie ni
11:01dalam semangat kampung
11:02dipelis
11:02saya pasti dalam movie ni
11:03nanti bila kita tengok
11:04orang kurang main handphone
11:05orang motor
11:06borak-borak dengan jiran
11:07and how should we
11:09you know
11:10approach to
11:11relive that moment again
11:12in a very
11:13you know
11:14rural area
11:14suasana bandar
11:16very susah
11:16but maybe you guys
11:17how would you think
11:18we should relive that
11:19I mean I think
11:20I think
11:20you know there is something
11:21to be said about
11:22the simple life
11:23right
11:23where all you want to do
11:25is care for your family
11:27and preserve the way
11:28I think this is also
11:29what the people of
11:30Kompos Merabadi
11:31are trying to do
11:31is to preserve their way
11:33of life
11:33right
11:35and to be able to
11:36live the way
11:36that they want to live
11:38I also think that
11:39the film is really
11:40about human connection
11:41you know
11:43human connection
11:43and you can't get that
11:46with AI
11:47with a phone
11:47you know
11:48and so
11:49the only times
11:50that you really see
11:51the phone come out
11:52is when Adi is
11:53talking to people
11:54in the city
11:55otherwise
11:56there aren't really
11:58any phones
11:58in the film
12:00so we try to say
12:01okay you know what
12:02let's really look
12:03at this life
12:04and sometimes
12:04people look down
12:05on the simple life
12:07because these people
12:08maybe don't have
12:09they're not wealthy
12:09right
12:10they're not rich
12:11they don't have money
12:12but they are
12:12because they're rich
12:14in what they get
12:15from their community
12:16and in values
12:17yeah
12:17and they're really happy
12:19right
12:19and I think that's the goal
12:20and of course
12:21when you talk about
12:22wrongcom
12:23the romanticism in this film
12:25when you see
12:26Adi is approaching
12:27a feisty kampung girl
12:28it's very rare now
12:30that you know
12:31we can
12:31people like myself
12:33from cities
12:34boleh mengurat
12:35perempuan
12:36yang naturally
12:37without you know
12:38texting
12:38just kat IG
12:39DM
12:40so like
12:42I think this shows
12:43like you know
12:43that thing still
12:44is still here
12:45you can
12:46you know
12:46approach women like that
12:47and itulah
12:48I rasa
12:49di samping the comedy
12:50the romanticism
12:51is what people
12:52would want to see
12:53between Adi
12:54and also
12:54the feisty
12:55kampung girl
12:55yeah
12:56and this is the message
12:57that is very important
12:58to be shown to Malaysians
12:59that we are still
13:00you know
13:01a Malaysian people
13:02and we have that
13:03semangat kebersamaan
13:04that unity in us
13:05that's our
13:06you know
13:07personality as Malaysians
13:08I guess
13:09there's a lot more
13:10that we can talk about
13:11about this film
13:11but we have to
13:12take a break for a while
13:13and we will be back
13:14shortly after this
13:32ok baik kita
13:33bertemu kembali
13:33dalam hari pagi
13:34kepada yang baru saja
13:35menonton
13:35kita dari tadi
13:36sedang membincangkan
13:37ataupun bercakap
13:38tentang cerita
13:39Mojo Ku Hilang
13:40dan kita bersama dengan
13:41dua orang daripada
13:42film itu sendiri
13:43iaitu pengarahnya
13:44Min Lim
13:44dan juga pelakon
13:45Gambit Saifullah
13:47baik kita dah
13:47sentuh tentang
13:48mesej film ini
13:49tentang overall
13:50sinopsis
13:51satu film
13:51now maybe
13:52you want to see
13:53the challenges
13:54or maybe good experiences
13:55that you've gotten
13:56from filming this film
13:57I've been told
13:59that you've been
13:59filming from last year
14:01and you've been
14:02filming in Perlis
14:03so in Perlis
14:04you know
14:04it's from Utara region
14:06so of course
14:07you have to have
14:07that authenticity
14:08of speaking Utara dialect
14:10so maybe
14:10what are the challenges
14:11in trying to
14:13I guess you guys
14:13are not from Utara
14:14so what are the challenges
14:17to integrate
14:18that Utara dialect
14:19and what are
14:19memorable moments
14:20that you've gotten
14:21from that
14:21filming in Perlis
14:23Perlis is beautiful
14:24of course
14:25it's really
14:26really beautiful
14:26and you know
14:28when I started
14:28looking at the story
14:29and the script
14:30I really wanted
14:32to shoot in Perlis
14:33because I felt
14:34that it was
14:34remote enough
14:35right
14:36that Adi is far away
14:38enough from KL
14:39but also
14:40it's a state
14:40very far
14:41but it's a state
14:43that not many of us
14:44we know the name
14:45but not many
14:46Malaysians have been
14:47and not many Malaysians
14:48know anything about
14:49you know
14:50but it is so beautiful
14:52so we thought
14:52okay let's go to Perlis
14:54and showcase
14:54the beauty of Perlis
14:56because also
14:56not many stories
14:57have been set
14:58in Perlis
14:59some people
14:59have used Perlis
15:00as a location
15:01so that was beautiful
15:02but of course
15:02if you're going to
15:03set a story in Perlis
15:04then you have to
15:04make sure that
15:05it's authentic
15:06right
15:06and that includes
15:07you know
15:08what Perlis people
15:09are like
15:09and Bahasa Utara
15:12and so
15:12what we did
15:13was we made sure
15:14that we had
15:14a dialogue coach
15:15a dialect coach
15:16on set
15:16to make sure
15:17that the actors
15:18were really speaking
15:19in real Bahasa Utara
15:22Namrond is actually
15:22from Perlis himself
15:23so we still
15:25had a dialogue coach
15:26because he's been
15:27in KL a long time now
15:28but we really
15:30made that commitment
15:30to authenticity
15:33so that was
15:33it wasn't really
15:34a challenge
15:35because we just
15:35committed to it
15:36and we wanted
15:36to do it
15:37the biggest challenge
15:39was the cow
15:42how did you
15:43move the cow
15:44and how was
15:45the cow feeling
15:46the cow look
15:47Malaysia
15:48doesn't have
15:49any animal trainers
15:51for film
15:52you know
15:52like if you go
15:53to the west
15:54Hollywood maybe
15:55yeah in Hollywood
15:55they have a lot
15:56of animal trainers
15:57Malaysia has no
15:58animal trainers
15:58for film
15:59let alone
16:00cow trainers
16:00right
16:01and so
16:02to get
16:02this live
16:03500 pound animal
16:05to do the things
16:06that you want
16:07on camera
16:08it was very
16:09very difficult
16:10I mean
16:11what more
16:12can you ask
16:12for me
16:13I mean
16:15sometimes
16:15you want it
16:16to stand up
16:17they say
16:18okay Min
16:18this can only
16:18happen once
16:19otherwise
16:20we have to
16:20wait 30 minutes
16:21for her to
16:21sit down
16:21again
16:21we can't
16:22just make
16:22her sit
16:23down
16:23yeah so
16:23there's a lot
16:24of things
16:24that you
16:24don't think
16:25about
16:25when you
16:26start to
16:26work with
16:26animals
16:27but we
16:28realised
16:29we realised
16:30that the
16:31best way
16:32to get
16:32an animal
16:33to do
16:33something
16:33is to
16:34bribe
16:34them
16:34with food
16:35correct
16:36and she
16:36she loved
16:37bananas
16:37so we
16:37just
16:38kept
16:38feeding
16:38her
16:41so we
16:42kept
16:42feeding
16:43her
16:43these
16:43bananas
16:44but then
16:44she got
16:45to a point
16:45where she
16:45became
16:46such a
16:46diva
16:47so she
16:48wouldn't
16:49eat the
16:49bananas
16:50she had
16:50already
16:51licked
16:52we have
16:53to give
16:54her a
16:54fresh
16:54one
16:55even
16:55she
16:55was
16:56the
16:56one
16:56that
16:56licked
16:56it
16:57yes
16:57she
16:57didn't
16:58want
16:58it
16:58yeah
16:59big diva
17:00but she
17:01was
17:01actually
17:01quite
17:02great
17:02because we
17:03shot
17:03a lot
17:03scenes
17:04with her
17:05like
17:05there's
17:05a scene
17:06of her
17:06in the
17:07kitchen
17:07of a
17:07house
17:08so we
17:09actually
17:09had her
17:09inside
17:10outside
17:10and she
17:11was
17:11actually
17:12very
17:12good
17:13but it
17:14was still
17:14a challenge
17:15don't get
17:15me
17:15wrong
17:16gambit
17:17of course
17:17akan
17:19menghadapi
17:19segala cabaran
17:20dengan lembu
17:20itulah
17:21mungkin
17:21dalam utara
17:22lah
17:22gambit
17:22kan
17:23macam mana
17:24dengan lembu
17:25kita
17:26kita
17:26cuba
17:27utara
17:28gambit
17:28macam
17:28mana
17:28apa cabaran
17:32dengan lembu
17:33tapi sebenarnya
17:34saya punya
17:35tara dalam
17:36ni
17:36saya bukanlah
17:37orang yang
17:38dari utara
17:39macam
17:39the rest
17:40saya
17:41menyama
17:42jadi utara
17:43jadi saya
17:45kalau cakap
17:46tu
17:47tambah
17:47akil-akil
17:48je lah
17:48kat belakang
17:48tambah je lah
17:49menyama
17:50kau
17:50but he gets it wrong
17:51all the time
17:52ada cakap
17:52langsiak
17:52kau
17:55sabiak
17:55sabiak
17:56apa khabar
17:57sabiak
17:58orang pilih
17:58tapi dia
17:59tidak tahu
18:00dia bukan
18:01untuk
18:02mengatakan
18:02yang tidak
18:03elok
18:03dia hanya
18:04melakukan
18:05kesalahan
18:05dia memang orang
18:06yang tak tahu
18:07dia pun tidak tahu
18:08dia buat salah
18:09dia cuba
18:10sedaya
18:11dan dia rasa
18:13dia selalu
18:14cuba yang terbaik
18:16dan dia betul
18:17lah
18:17dia dah cuba
18:18yang terbaik
18:18dia buat yang terbaik
18:20dia confident dia
18:20dia self-confidence
18:21100%
18:22macam tu lah
18:24and then
18:24bila dengan lembu tu
18:26gambit yang hilangkan
18:27lembu tu
18:27so like
18:28apa cabangan
18:29gambit dengan lembu tu
18:29saya tidak
18:32ya lah
18:33sebab
18:33dalam cinta ni kan
18:34saya sangat
18:35rasa saya
18:37prepare
18:37confident
18:38tapi
18:40malangnya
18:40dalam
18:41atur cara saya tu
18:43lembu tu hilang lah
18:44dan saya
18:46yang
18:46kena cari balik lah
18:48betul-betul
18:49saya memang
18:50menarik
18:51when you talk about
18:52how you
18:52you know
18:53control the cow
18:53and then become a diva
18:55and you guys
18:55have to learn
18:56utara dialect
18:56but that is
18:58the skill
18:59that we want
18:59in our actors
19:00but now
19:01we want to ask
19:02Min
19:03on choosing
19:04we know
19:05how you choose
19:05Gambit
19:06but now
19:06how do you
19:07choose the hero
19:08and the heroine
19:09and every single
19:10person in the film
19:11how is the casting
19:12I mean the cast
19:13is my dream cast
19:14your dream cast
19:16this is the perfect cast
19:17you know honestly
19:17I did a deck
19:19as you do
19:20before you
19:21you do any film
19:22you do a creative deck
19:23and you say
19:24who you want
19:24as the actors
19:25and I put
19:26the actors
19:27that I wanted
19:28and those were
19:29the actors
19:29that I got
19:30and I was
19:31I don't know
19:31I just
19:32I struck the lottery
19:33right
19:34I got very lucky
19:35when we made
19:36Adi an Indonesian
19:38character
19:38we knew
19:39we had to go
19:39and get an Indonesian
19:40actor
19:41right
19:41for it to be authentic
19:42you can't just be authentic
19:42to utara
19:43and not authentic
19:44to the Indonesians
19:45and we wanted
19:46to cast somebody
19:47who was almost
19:48the same age
19:49as the character
19:49and Adi
19:51is the best actor
19:53for me
19:53of his generation
19:56but Honey and I
19:57were in Perlison Rekki
19:59and we decided
20:00to watch Possessive
20:01which is one
20:02of his early films
20:02on Netflix
20:05and he kind of
20:06blew us away
20:06and at the end
20:07we were like
20:07yeah yeah
20:07that's Adi
20:08and his name
20:09was also Adi
20:10so it's like
20:11fate right
20:13Mimi
20:13you know
20:14I worked with her
20:14I gave her
20:15one of her first
20:15acting roles
20:16when she was 19
20:17on a Astro TV series
20:19called
20:19Ku tinggakan cinta di Okinawa
20:21which I nasi amat
20:23and she
20:24and she was
20:25you could already see
20:26when she was 19
20:27that the talent
20:28was there
20:29and I've just been
20:29watching her go
20:30from strength to strength
20:31so I was like
20:32when I thought
20:33about this film
20:33I was like
20:34Mimi is actually
20:35the one I want
20:35I worked with
20:36Aya
20:37one hand of Hissu
20:38I worked with him
20:39on the bridge
20:39and he was great
20:41but he always plays
20:41these really serious
20:43roles
20:45and nobody had really
20:46seen him in comedy
20:47and I wanted to give him
20:48the opportunity
20:49to do something different
20:50and he was great
20:52and then the rest
20:53of the cast
20:53kind of just
20:54fell in place
20:55if you know
20:55into place
20:56Gambit
20:57helped me read
20:58one of the earlier drafts
20:59right
21:00we're friends
21:02Tony I have worked
21:03with a long
21:04Tony Yusuf
21:05I've worked with
21:05a long time
21:06I'd never worked
21:07with Namron
21:08Datuk Tamimi
21:09Azizem Osman
21:10but who doesn't
21:12know them
21:12and who doesn't
21:13want them
21:13on your film
21:14big names
21:14right
21:15so we were
21:16very lucky
21:17so it kind of
21:18just fell into place
21:19these are actors
21:19who are giving
21:20and who are thinking
21:22and they came on
21:23and they
21:24really understood
21:25the film
21:25that we were
21:25trying to make
21:26because don't forget
21:27they're also directors
21:28there's one time
21:29there were five directors
21:30on set
21:30were you like nervous
21:31because
21:32of course
21:34you know
21:34every
21:35this is my first film
21:36as a director
21:36I've been producing
21:37a lot of television
21:37but this is my first film
21:38as a director
21:39you have
21:40you know
21:40Namron
21:42Azizem Osman
21:43Datuk Tamimi
21:43Zahe Omar
21:44who is our
21:44executive producer
21:46and me
21:46and I am the least
21:47experienced
21:48out of all of them
21:49but they were
21:50incredibly supportive
21:51really very supportive
21:53of my vision
21:54of what I wanted
21:55to do
21:55which was very great
21:56and that's true
21:57you said
21:57this is your debut
21:59film from Malaysia
22:00and you've produced
22:01a lot of drama
22:02and now
22:03shifting that
22:05to film
22:05maybe
22:06how is it different
22:07like what's the challenges
22:08from you know
22:09directing dramas
22:10into directing
22:11a whole film
22:12I think
22:13so people say
22:14that television
22:17is a writer's medium
22:17and film
22:19is a director's medium
22:20right
22:21so
22:21really
22:21yes
22:22in the sense
22:24that
22:25you know
22:25a television director
22:27signs up
22:28to a showrunner's vision
22:29and usually
22:29that's a writer
22:30or a producer
22:31so they
22:32they don't really
22:33set the course
22:34as much
22:35as a director
22:35in a film
22:36would do
22:36so in a film
22:38the director's vision
22:39is central
22:40everything
22:41comes from
22:42the director's vision
22:43so that's
22:44kind of the main difference
22:45but television
22:46really sets you up
22:48for film
22:48because
22:49television
22:50the budgets
22:50are so much smaller
22:51everything is on fire
22:53the schedule
22:54the schedule
22:56is shorter
22:56you just have to
22:57to go with the flow
22:58and roll with the punches
22:59right
23:00so that really teaches you
23:01that okay
23:02when you come to film
23:03you know that you can do that
23:04yeah
23:05but it was
23:06it was a great experience
23:07and maybe to
23:08Gambit
23:09how is it working with
23:10you know
23:11Min in a film
23:12in her debut film
23:14serenok
23:15so I mean
23:16yeah
23:16kita kawan
23:17tapi kita
23:18probably never really
23:19work together
23:20especially in terms of relationship
23:22as an actor
23:23dengan director
23:24kan
23:24so bila
23:25yeah
23:26Min
23:27Min dia ada
23:28dia punya own character
23:29kan
23:29tapi dekat set tu
23:31sebab
23:31dalam cerita ni
23:33kas ramai
23:34bukan macam
23:35kas yang you tengok
23:36ada 4 orang
23:36atau 5 orang
23:37Min je
23:37ramai
23:38main kas pun ramai
23:40semua
23:40ramai
23:41termasuk lembu tu
23:42lembu
23:43of course
23:43mojo
23:44ramai
23:44and then kita
23:45setting pun
23:46bukan dekat bandar
23:47dekat
23:47dekat pelis
23:48apa semua kan
23:50and then saya ingat
23:51saya banyak fly
23:52masa tu
23:52pergi Langkawi
23:53bawa balik
23:53dekat Indonesia
23:54dan dekat set diorang
23:55tengok dia direct
23:56ok
23:58yelah kadang-kadang tu
23:59macam
23:59kalau macam saya lah kan
24:01saya rasa
24:02menjadi seorang pelakon tu
24:03sebenarnya
24:04kerja mereka
24:05bukan hanya
24:08apa
24:08pelakon
24:09dan keluarkan
24:10diorang punya
24:10seni tu kan
24:12tapi kefahaman seni
24:13tu kadang-kadang
24:13bukan hanya lakonan
24:14hanya di situ
24:15dia juga kadang-kadang
24:17you kena faham
24:17team you macam mana
24:18sebab setiap
24:19setiap team yang you shoot
24:20setiap cerita yang you shoot
24:22berbeza
24:23so
24:23I always
24:24rasa saya kena faham
24:26box director tu
24:27macam mana
24:28because
24:29kadang-kadang
24:30pelakon yang diambil
24:32bukan pelakon yang
