00:00Welcome back to Monday Munchies and this week I think I've found Sydney's biggest acai bowl.
00:05So what's the mission for today? We are off to find Sydney's best acai. I've tried all the places.
00:11Yes, I've tried acai underworld. Yes, I've tried Johnny's Incogra. I love Johnny's acai,
00:16but I haven't tried Hungry Bear acai, which is on Cleveland Street, sort of in the back of Surrey
00:22Hills. And they have, from what I can see on social media, some of the biggest acai bowls
00:27in Sydney. At least the biggest I've ever seen.
00:33I love a little hole in the wall. I'm definitely getting a large.
00:45Well, there's a technique to it.
00:49Don't do what I just did, but it's my first time.
00:54You don't walk out of here empty-handed, I'll say that. So we got a freshie. I'm going to eat
00:58it the
00:58right way this time because I stuffed it up last time and he's even focused up with a matcha. The
01:04nicest bloke, honestly.
01:08Good slope. He's got the good peanut butter. I'll say that. I've had some acai bowls with real
01:12suss peanut butter, but he's got the good stuff. You can risk it and go in from the side, but
01:16it's
01:16not the right way to do it. Or so I've learned. You've got to go down from the top.
01:23He's nailed the texture. He's nailed the flavor. Whatever he's blending in that big machine,
01:28it's good.
01:32We've also got matcha. So let's give it a try. Same technique.
01:36Matcha is not easy to nail because there's so much that goes into it. This is a good neutral
01:41amount of sweetness. It's not too sweet, but when you add the pistachio topping like we have,
01:46makes it a little sweeter. And I know matcha soft suss is so popular, but also really expensive.
01:51And this is pretty fairly priced at 16 bucks for the largest size. So this is Hungry Bear
01:56Acai on Cleveland Street at the back of Surrey Hills in Sydney. This has been another Monday
02:01Munchies. Come back next week to see where we go next.
