00:00I've used the iPhone Duo for the last week and here's five pros and five cons in under 60 seconds.
00:06First, let's start with the pros.
00:08True split screen multitasking, it takes productivity to another level.
00:12And at number two, it's the redesigned apps.
00:14Apple didn't just stretch the native apps and in fact the third party developers are starting to pick up their
00:19pace.
00:19I really love this sidebar that travels across the iPhone Duo whenever you're using it.
00:23And at number three, it's the camera.
00:25That's also a con but I'll talk more about that in a second.
00:28It's using the live display as a live viewfinder.
00:31So you slide the thing and there I am on the camera right now as we record this video.
00:35And at number four, it's the way that you can just fold it in half and prop it up like
00:38a tent.
00:39When I put it down on the table, it goes into a special standby mode for your calendar, timer, photos,
00:43things like that.
00:44And at number five, it's probably my favorite feature overall.
00:47It's the lack of crease.
00:48It's only when you start to do things like this that you can start to see it a little bit.
00:51But who uses their phone like that?
00:53Now we have to talk about the cons.
00:54And at number one, it's the fact this phone doesn't have face ID.
00:57You have to touch the phone every time you want to unlock it.
01:00It doesn't have a pro level camera system.
01:02Don't get me wrong.
01:02It's still pretty good for what it is.
01:04But you don't get that optical telephoto lens.
01:07And I use that all the time.
01:08Number three, it's actually the battery life.
01:10Apple quotes over 40 hours for this front screen.
01:12But when you open it up and start multitasking and doing split views, watching content, things like that,
01:17it tops out at around 31 hours.
01:18And honestly, it kind of feels like it.
01:20You end up having to charge at things around the day.
01:21Number four, it's not a massive con, but it doesn't come with a physical SIM card.
01:25It's eSIM only around the world.
01:27And finally, at number five, it's the price.
01:29You'll be paying three and a half grand for the entry-level model,
01:32but most people will be paying over four grand to get their hands on an iPhone Duo.
01:35So what's the final verdict then?
01:36It's undeniably a technical marvel.
01:38Apple has finally done it.
01:40They've made a folding phone.
01:41But I still think I need a little bit more time with this device.
01:43I don't want to be a fence-sitter, but I haven't optimized the way that I use it.
