00:00Hi guys, welcome to another Invisalign update. So I'll give you a quick recap of the journey so far.
00:07I started on a 19 week plan, but when I got to about week 10 or so, I noticed that
00:12the trays
00:13weren't fitting as well as they should have, like they were starting to warp on the inside.
00:18So I don't think my teeth were tracking quite as fast as the AI had predicted they should.
00:23So at that point, I had a couple of scans and a revision, and then I was put on a
00:3013 week plan.
00:31And now I'm up to the tail end of week 11 of that new 13 week plan. So I'm nearly
00:38getting towards
00:39the end, thankfully. So today I'm going into Proud Smile. So today is just to check how the
00:45teeth are tracking. But to be honest, the last couple of trays to put in has been really, really
00:51hard. But there's been a section up here, especially where I've had to really shove the
00:55tray aside with my thumb and really try and fit it around a curve. So once again, I don't think
01:03the teeth have tracked quite as fast as they should have, because my day compliance wearing
01:09these is a little bit less than it should be, I think. So I'm going to find out today whether
01:15we're going to have one more revision before this journey is finally completed.
01:20And so my last visit, my last Invisalign update, I had the IPR, which was the interproximal
01:26reduction. So that's where a little bit of the inside of these two bottom front teeth was
01:32filed away a little bit. Because I was sort of pressing together like this, and there was
01:37a big black triangle at the gum line. So with that IPR, the teeth are sort of going to close
01:42a little bit better, like sliding glass doors, basically. And of course, between that visit
01:48and today, I was in the kitchen one day, and my tongue, you know, just hit that dreaded
01:56feeling of there's a gap in my tooth. And sure enough, that was basically a cavity that I had
02:04to go into the dentist to see. It's just the most sinking feeling when you know. And at
02:10that point, I didn't know what had happened there. But I was hoping that it was just a
02:15cavity, I mean, a filling that had chipped, because I felt the sharp bit. But the dentist
02:19does think that it was an actual filling that did fall out. And there was a little bit of
02:24decay, but that got repaired. And that was on my wisdom tooth at the top left. But apart
02:28from that, I haven't had any other complications during this Invisalign journey. So today's visit
02:34is to see how they're tracking, and whether or not we might need one more revision before
02:39the journey is finally over.

04:12And yes, they've warped every time, because obviously they just didn't fit as well as they

08:55And she gave me a really good thing about fitting aligners in that really try and line
09:01them up at the front, like with the arch.
09:04Which, because I have struggled a couple of weeks to really sort of fit them properly.
09:09So that was a good sort of line them up at the front first.
09:13But anyway, that was good news.
09:14So they're tracking really well, which is excellent.
09:17I'm now wearing week 12, which I think is the last of this 13 week plan.
09:24But we're a little bit unsure whether I've got more weeks after that.
09:28Maybe a revision then.
09:29But I've got two more weeks of wearing these and then I'm going to come in for another scan
09:34and then we're going to discuss whether or not I'm going to need any more aligners after that.
09:38But yeah, look, I'm feeling really positive about it and my teeth have definitely changed, like, so much.
09:46So it's really positive.
09:47Smile's getting a lot straighter and my bite is also getting a lot better.
09:52So I'm looking forward to coming back in a couple of weeks' time or four weeks' time
09:57because I'll wear the aligners for two weeks at a time.
09:59But I'm looking forward to coming back then at week 13 then and seeing how they're tracking.
