03:09And it's amazing what you can actually see, and hear,
03:14featuring the display, with the helmet and the information that you've received.
03:19Absolutely, so it's feeding all that information to us,
03:21and the helmet gets the altitude there, it's been a while,
03:23so we have no matter where he's looking.

05:17But in this next pass we're going to have a very special sneak peek of the jet when he comes
05:23back around and opens those bombay doors and we can see the types of things, well we can't see what's
05:30hidden in there but it's a special little look.
05:33Absolutely this is where we carry our air to air missiles or our air to ground bombs as well.
05:59So let's take a look at the air to air.
06:10Now CTE is in front-side, and air force is not too far.
06:13We're going to face the back face William Tower at Newcastle, New South Wales.
06:17It has over 500 hours in the M35A light for two.
06:21And this unit is for a pilot selected to fly the M35 to learn how to be a pilot.
06:27Right, the next one is a particularly special move.
06:30It's got a really original main pilot. It's called the square loop.
06:33It is called the square loop. I'll let everyone get those to watch.
06:46Let's go.
07:47Spectacular sight there ladies and gentlemen, the square loop.
07:50Now most people think M35s fly fast all the time, but that's not exactly the case.
07:57But they can also slow you right down in the next pass.
07:59We're going to see the F-35 going at about 100 knots or 185 kilometres an hour.
08:05And whilst that might give you a ticket on the Pacific Motorway on the way home today,
08:08not so much for CT, but with the Gold Coast beaches today as well.
08:14The difference in speeds when you go from fast to slow like that.
08:19What's that like?
08:21It's actually a really cool thing to do.
08:23So you're going to see CT jack the nose of the aircraft down here to fly slow.
08:27And it's using the thrust coming out of the engine to stay level across the beach.
08:30It's a really challenging cost to do.
08:32And this is about a 50 degree angle of attack.
08:35And this aircraft is quite amazing.
08:37Where it can point its nose and just show how capable of removal of a river.
08:42If it's already there so it can hit the outpost that was like here.
08:46And then I'll be able to take a cow around for the engine when it needs to.
08:49And it's almost 100.
08:51I don't know where the engine is.
08:53It's that big.
08:54But it's almost 100- Blockway a bit.
08:59It might be 100 years old.
09:21But it's also a very big thing it shrimp.
09:23and how you feel you are ensuring those situations
09:28particularly you've got the 9G aircraft
09:31all the small things that you're doing
09:33obviously with the G suit which will punch that one later
09:36tell us about the hook breadth that you do
09:38so CT would also be doing what we call an ADSR
09:41which is an anti-G straining manoeuvre
09:43and he's tapping his legs all the way up to his head
09:45keeping that line back in his head
09:47so we can stay conscious around these manoeuvres
09:49and he's about to come back in with another high G manoeuvre
09:51with another max sustained turn
09:54Timmy pushing his body to the limit
09:56while performing those specialised techniques
09:59to stay conscious over the Pacific air show

11:04But the common thing regardless of the technology is the way we fly.
11:08Absolutely. Everyone flies basically exactly the same as it's got our skills coming through every aircraft.
11:17This aircraft is incredibly versatile.
11:20And of course we're just seeing a bit of a taste of what this aircraft can do here at the
11:26Pacific Airshow.
11:27Milo, what's it been like for you this weekend here?
11:30It's a real experience to come to the Airshow.
11:32Obviously the Gold Coast is a beautiful place to meet.
11:34To meet everyone and watch all the great displays has been awesome.
11:38The CT is now bringing the jet back to 750km an hour.
11:41And it's dropping in for a paddle turn.
11:43And we'll see the nose again around 50 degrees.

12:09We've come to mind all of these really great maneuvers from fighter jets over the years.
12:13But what sets the F-35 apart this 5th generation final is that he is enjoying this gorgeous soft pedal.
