00:02and deputy prime ministers and members of delegation to Malaysia not only we do
00:08both countries have an excellent long-standing friendship but I'm very
00:15fortunate because this dear friend of mine was a dear friend long before I
00:22became prime minister I think he he probably guessed that I'll make it but
00:27he hosted me for many functions those days and we have had extensive
00:32discussions since then our meeting today is very very substantive and fruitful as
00:40I really do have the prime minister exchanging on issues and trying to
00:47resolve many of the outstanding issues Malaysia and Thailand are important
00:52neighbors in terms of history culture economy trade investments but we
01:01realize that more need to be done to enhance this collaboration in all fields so
01:09we have established some agreement but even before our visit to Bukit Kewi Tam Sadau
01:20tomorrow morning and this is also unique not many such visits goes on to not only the
01:27capital city that goes to the remote areas to the border and this reflects his
01:33personal commitment to enhance these relations so we also discussed the second
01:43bridge this Rantau Panjang Sungai Golok bridge and the proposal that is ongoing we want to
01:51have done fast we initially agreed sometime back and this is something very very positive for the
01:59initially the Perlis Kedah down to Penang and this Rantau Panjang Bridge will be
02:08mainly for South Thailand and Kelantan and also we said this discuss the initial proposal to
02:18revive the Rantau Panjang Sungai Golok Railway bilateral trade target of 30 billion dollars by 2027
02:29we have to work hard and I think both foreign ministers and meeting ministers should focus on this because
02:37strong friendship and collaboration in all fields including tourism must start with the fundamental issue of
02:46economic and trade we agreed also to proceed with the special border economic zones and to facilitate
02:56exchanges in immigration customs between the two countries and we have resolved this issue of
03:05outstanding issues of fisheries with both ministers commitment and they wanted the memorandum to continue and
03:14be affected in one and a half month and we agreed it should be affected in one week
03:24and the other issues of course training and collaboration I don't have real problems here particularly with
03:32Pramish Anutin we are in touch almost on a weekly basis he's very good with his WhatsApp and very fast
03:43in the response and there's help and the Minister of Foreign Affairs sometimes complain to me because we made the
03:49decision of the
03:49earlier before the foreign ministers aware that shows the extent of trust and collaboration which will be meaningful and fruitful
04:01for both countries
04:04I do appreciate his collaboration and his stance in securing continued peace in the issue of the border and we
04:14said we will of course continue to listen and have the exchanges to ensure that there is no
04:24this escalation but we trust the wisdom of the leadership of countries both countries to ensure that
04:33ASEAN remains a vibrant peaceful country I'm also extremely delighted to hear
04:40Pramish Anutin's view on Myanmar because we in Malaysia is of the opinion that the best way to resolve this
04:51long-standing issue is to
04:54through effective engagement and to allow for Myanmar people to decide for themselves and Thailand is an important friend and
05:04neighbour can play a pivotal role
05:06and thank you very much to the foreign minister for taking initiative to invite all ASEAN foreign ministers to deliberate
05:14this further and listen to the various parties including the new Myanmar foreign minister
05:20so thank you again Prime Minister Anutin come again soon because you make us so comfortable and happy and very
05:29relaxed I mean my colleagues would certainly agree with me
05:33you see these meetings it is like among friends like among old friends you know is there a problem you
05:38are going to solve it next week two weeks time this doesn't happen in most countries this happens only because
