00:51The Turnpike Commission unanimously approved a 3.5 percent toll hike Tuesday,
00:56taking effect January 3rd, 2027.
00:59EasyPass customers will pay 7.5 cents per mile, up from 7.3 cents,
01:03plus a higher fee at each overhead toll gantry.
01:06Toll by plate drivers will see a similar increase, paying 15 cents per mile, up from 14.6 cents,
01:12with gantry fees rising from $2.26 to $2.34.
01:17It's the 19th straight annual increase, with officials citing long-term debt obligations
01:21tied to statewide transportation funding.
