00:04Hello WA, it is Sunday the 5th of July, this is your weather forecast for the week ahead.
00:08It's a relatively stable week, a little bit of rain on the way for some regions, but yeah,
00:15nothing crazy. So let's have a look. Sunday we had this trough move through the southwest
00:19delivering 5 to 10 mils in some regions, but by Monday it peters out only delivering,
00:24you know, probably like light showers 2 to 5 mils for most areas. The wind on that on Monday as
00:31well
00:31is light across the state. It's this interior trough that's a little bit more interesting.
00:37Locally it could see 15 to 25 mils, definitely more on the 15 mil sort of end of the range,
00:42but for a lot of the central region of WA you could be having light showers 2 to 5 mils.
00:48That continues in on to Tuesday, moves slightly further north, but by Wednesday it's moved off
00:54into the interior of the country. The wind gusts are light and stable throughout those days as well.
01:02Thursday we start to see a potential low or cut off low developing down here in the south that could
01:11deliver light showers on Thursday and some light to moderate showers on Friday, 5 to 10 mils as
01:18possible. Here we see Saturday it moves further into the south coast and then Sunday it's moved off
01:24into the southeast. Now what's quite interesting is that some models that I'm seeing are showing that
01:29low pressure system cut off, which makes it more powerful. It can move further over to the interior
01:34of the country and deliver this 5 to 10 mils which is sitting in the ocean. It could potentially see
01:42it
01:42fall on land in some of the coastal regions. This model's not showing it cut off, it's more showing
01:47it sitting down in the track. So it's 6 to 7 days away. We don't have a lot of confidence,
01:53but it does
01:54have the possibility of rainfall. So if you're depending on that rain down in the south coast,
01:59something that you can watch your forecast apps for to see how the models develop as we go along.
02:04But that's sort of it for rainfall. It's pretty calm for most days, light showers sort of happening ahead.
02:12Let's have a look at my region of choice for this week, which is Albany down in the southwest.
02:19Just again, show you that rainfall narrative. So Monday, possibility of 5 mils, but anywhere between
02:241 and 11 mils. It's got a certainty range on that. Okay, it's the US model that's throwing more
02:32consistent rain across than the others. So I, yeah, I don't think we're hitting that 11 mils, but
02:38between 1 and sort of 5 mils, I think we can expect on Monday. Pretty much dries up for Tuesday,
02:46Wednesday, and then Thursday as that next sort of system moves through. We could see between 0 and
02:516 mils, 0 and 8 mils on Friday, and then Saturday down to 2 mils. So light showers throughout the
02:58week,
02:58but yeah, no strong rainfall. And wind speeds again throughout the week, we're looking down in here,
03:04they are nice and stable. Spraying conditions are a bit of a mixed bag. So have a look at your
03:10James Weather Pro app if you want to have a better dive into that. There's also a possibility of fog
03:16at
03:16some points in this week as we get some cooler overnight temperatures and not a lot of wind,
03:20but it will not translate into frost, I don't think, for any of the WO region. So that's some good
03:26news for you there. All right, so that's the story. We have two systems down in the southeast
03:33delivering on Monday and then again on sort of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and then this one
03:39in the central region of WA is coming on Tuesday and Wednesday. Have a great week and we'll see you
03:44next time.
