00:00A commercial court in Bangaluru, India has returned a memorandum of plaint filed by Singapore construction firm Lee Kim Ta
00:08for refiling in an appropriate jurisdiction.
00:12Judge Arjun S. Mahler made the order on Saturday.
00:16He also vacated an interim order issued against Wahab chairman Kim Yong and his brother director Eugene Yong on May
00:242, 2026.
00:26No reasons were given for the decision.
00:29The dissolved order had barred the brothers from entering transactions without board approval.
00:34Lee Kim Ta had filed the suit last month against the Yong brothers, alleging breaches of fiduciary duties to Indian
00:41Joint Venture Vehicle, L&W Construction.
00:45The Yong brothers had argued that the commercial court did not have jurisdiction to hear the dispute under Indian law.
00:51The case involves allegations of irregular payments flagged in an independent audit.
00:56The payments, including alleged bribes to staff of Tamasic bank developer Capitaland in 2023, were purportedly made on the instructions
01:06of a senior executive.
01:08Indian police are investigating a related criminal complaint and have visited L&W offices and interviewed staff in the course
