03:44So, let's see you all blowing it away
03:45Can you blow?
03:47Big blow
03:50And who's that?
03:52A cat
03:52A cat?
03:53That's my cat that's called Ted
03:56Oh!
03:57Sounds like we have a visitor
04:01I wonder who it can be
04:02I wonder who it can be
04:02I'll just go and see
04:06Hello Edie, is there something wrong?
04:08Yes
04:09Oh no
04:09Yes, I've just seen a
04:11A what?
04:12A spook
04:12A great, white, flapping, flying spook
04:15A spook?
04:16But there's no such thing as spooks, Edie
04:18Are you sure?
04:19Oh sure, I'm sure
04:20It wasn't a bird or my imagination
04:23It was a spook
04:24It gave me quite a fright
04:26I can see that
04:27Come through to my office and tell me all about it over a nice cup of tea
04:33So, where did you see their spook again, Edie?
04:35On the road up to Archie's castle
04:37I was heading up there to drop off a parcel
04:40When out it flew
04:41The parcel?
04:42The spook
04:43Oh yes
04:44Waving and flapping around in the air
04:47Well it came out of nowhere
04:49Right past my windscreen
04:51One moment it was there
04:52And then it was gone
04:54Poof!
04:55Poof!
04:55Poof!
04:56It was gone
04:57And so was I
04:59I think your imagination is going a little crazy, Edie
05:02So relax
05:03Oh, I'll try
05:05Mmm
05:05I know
05:07After you've had your tea
05:08Why don't you join in with a game of musical cheers with the children?
05:11You won't have time to think about spooks if you're playing that
05:13Well I'd love to, but maybe later
05:15I understand
05:16He'd probably want to go and see Archie and drop off his parcel
05:19Oh yes, he'll be waiting for it
05:20Oh, I just hope that spook's gone by now
05:24Well, I'll see you later for a game of musical chairs
05:27Well we'll look forward to it
05:29Okay, bye
05:29Bye
05:32Poor Edie
05:33I think she's a little overexcited
05:36So, which coloured house do you think Edie will visit first today?
05:46Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
05:51Well there's part of the story in Balamore
05:55They ask, which is the house for me?
05:57Is it pink?
05:59Is it blue?
06:01Which coloured house are we going to?
06:03Yellow, green house, orange or red?
06:06Or should we go to the white house instead?
06:09Orange house, green house, red house or white?
06:15Pink house, yellow, blue?
06:17Which coloured house are we going to?
06:26Which coloured house are we going to?
06:29Tell me what do you think?
06:32Which coloured house are we going to?
06:34Tell me what do you think?
06:38It's the pink house!
06:41Yes, it's the pink house
06:43Because that's where Archie lives
06:47Dear
06:49Looks like the hot wash was a little bit too hot for my best kilt today Nobby
06:52Not to worry
06:53I'll have had a stretching machine later
06:55We'll have the thing pulled back into shape in a jiffy
06:58Hello Edie
06:58Oh hello Archie
07:00Now I just popped by with this parcel from Penny and Susie
07:04What is it?
07:05Erm, a washing powder
07:07Ah, perfect!
07:09I was just about to charge up the old washing machine again
07:11Tell me Archie, have you been busy washing all morning?
07:15Yes, why?
07:17I just wondered if you had seen any spooks flying by outside today
07:25Spooks?
07:26No, I haven't seen anything outside today apart from my washing
07:29Oh, fog of course
07:30Oh, that reminds me
07:32Would you like to see my fantastic new invention?
07:34I call it the Whirly Whizwinder
07:36It'll dry your washing in half the time a hurricane would take
07:39Sorry Archie
07:41I'd better be off
07:42I promised Miss Hooley I'd call back to play a game of musical chairs
07:46Ah well, not to worry
07:47See you soon Edie, no wonder
07:48Thanks again for the washing powder
07:51Bye Archie
07:59What was that?
08:04There's another one!
08:06There's only one person who can help and that's PC Plum!
08:14I'm PC Plum and I'll tell you what I've done
08:18I've pedaled round this island more than once or twice
08:22And if you call on me, we can make a cup of tea
08:27I'll tell you all about the bees and birds and mice
08:34I'm PC Plum and I'll tell you who I am
08:38I'm your policeman and I'll always be your chum
08:42With my magnifying glass
08:45I can look between the grass
08:47And all the tiny beasties
08:49We look at them run
08:52You can bet you'll see me coming
08:57On my bike
08:58I'm riding round the town
09:00In the country
09:03I check on all the wildlife
09:05The people, trees and animals
09:07I keep them safe and sound
09:10Safe and sound
09:14I'm PC Plum
09:25PC Plum
09:27I'm just a chicken
09:28PC Plum
09:31I love the country
09:34PC Plum
09:36Be careful crossing
09:38PC Plum
09:40I found your doggy
09:43PC Plum
09:45Here's your handbag
09:47PC Plum
09:56Plum?
09:57Plummy, where are you?
09:59Oh
10:03Gone to investigate
10:04Oh, I hope he's not going to be too
10:08Oh
10:10Oh
10:12Plummy
10:13I thought you were another spook
10:15So, what's the story in Balamori?
10:18Well, it all started this morning
10:21When I was driving my bus along the road to Archie's castle
10:25When a spook flew out of the fog and spooked me
10:32I rushed straight to the nursery to tell Miss Hooley what had happened
10:37Miss Hooley calmed me down and told me that there was no such thing as spooks
10:44Then I headed back to Archie's to deliver some boxes of washing powder from Penny and Susie
10:50Archie was busy washing so I didn't stay long
10:52If I had, I may not have seen another white floaty spook zoom past
10:59giving me an even bigger fright
11:03You know, Edie, you're the third person today to report seeing a spook, as you call it
11:07Do you think it was the same one?
11:09There's only one way to find out
11:12So, tell me, what did these spooks look like?
11:16Well, they were quite floaty things
11:19Sounds familiar
11:20Can you remember anything else about them?
11:22One was wearing black shoes
11:24Black shoes?
11:27And riding a bicycle
11:28A bicycle?
11:30Well, that is interesting
11:31Can you remember exactly where you saw these spooks?
11:34On the road near Archie's castle
11:39Oh, and so it was a white floaty thing
11:44Yeah
11:45And it was wearing two black shoes
11:51And it was riding a bike?
11:54Yep
11:55Tell me, Edie, did your spook look anything like this?
12:02Oh, I'm sorry, Edie, I didn't mean to frighten you
12:05It's alright, see, it's just a sheet
12:08You see, the second spook that you saw wasn't a spook at all
12:12It was me
12:13You?
12:15Why were you riding around on your bicycle dressed up as a spook?
12:20Oh, you could frighten people
12:22Well, I didn't mean to
12:23You see, I was cycling down to check on another reported spook
12:28When out of the fog came flapping this sheet
12:31And before I could do anything it had covered me
12:34And I went zooming down into a field at the bottom of the hill with a thump
12:38Oh, where do you think it came from?
12:41I don't know, but I think we could find a clue if we go back to the scene of the
12:45spooky crime
12:46Ooh
12:46Archie's castle
12:47Come on
12:56Now, can you see any spooks, Edie?
12:58I can't see anything in this fog
13:02There's one!
13:03Oh!
13:05Well done, Plummy, you scooter spook
13:07Oh, it's not a spook at all, it's just another bed sheet
13:11Oh!
13:12Well, where are all these sheets coming from?
13:16Ah!
13:17I think we'll find the answer to the question inside the castle
13:20Oh, come on!
13:27Hello, Edie
13:28Have you come to see my invention after all?
13:29Yes
13:30No!
13:32We need your help, Archie
13:33Do you recognise these?
13:35Those are my sheets
13:36Well, your sheets are masquerading as spooks and terrifying everyone
13:42Oh, I think I can explain, Plummers
13:44Come outside
13:48Wow!
13:50What's that, Archie?
13:51Oh, it's my latest invention
13:53The, uh, the Whirly Whizwinder
13:54I was going to show it to you early when you popped in, Edie
13:57That's where all the spooks are coming from
13:59I'm afraid so
14:03Ah, I thought so
14:05I've set the controls to super-speed instead of slow
14:08That's why my sheets have been flying off and spooking everybody
14:12You see, Edie, all the spooks were just Archie's sheets flying through the air
14:16Oh, what a relief
14:18Oh, I say, Archie
14:19I couldn't borrow these sheets
14:22Borrow them?
14:23Yes, you see, they've just given me a great idea for a game to play with the children at the
14:27nursery
14:29Musical spooks
14:30Oh, Edie, of course
14:32I'd be only too delighted to help give people some fun and laugh instead of frightening everyone
14:36Oh, thanks, Archie
14:38Oh, thanks, Archie
14:45Oh, shall we go?
15:02Everyone on their seat because Troy is now the spook
15:06Go!
15:07Go!
15:07Go!
15:23Spider-Safe
15:24And the newest book is Callum
15:26Woo!
15:29It sure was the fastest!
15:31And me too!
15:33Pops, wasn't it?
15:34Oh boy!
15:38Andy!
15:47Andy!
15:50Robbie, would you like to do this book?
15:53Yay!
15:54Can you just put it on fire?
15:57Woo!
15:58Andy!
15:59Andy!
16:00Andy!
16:07Oh, quick, quick, quick!
16:09Oh, good!
16:11Oh, good!
16:14Oh, Andy, that was the spookiest fun that we've had all week!
16:19Thank you! It was brilliant!
16:20It was great fun! Wasn't it, boys and girls?
16:23Yay!
16:23Yay!
16:33So, what was the story in Balamori today?
16:38Well...
16:41Edie rushed into the nursery this morning and told me that she'd seen a spook!
16:46I sat her down and told her there was no such thing as spooks and made her a cup of
16:50tea before she headed off to deliver a parcel to Archie.
16:54Archie was doing his washing and the washing powder in the package was exactly what he wanted.
17:01When Edie was leaving, she bumped into another spook riding a bike.
17:05This turned out to be PC Plum, who had become tangled up in a flyaway bed sheet.
17:13Edie and PC Plum went back to the castle on a spook hunt.
17:18PC Plum caught a spook and discovered it was another bed sheet.
17:24They soon discovered the flying sheets were coming from Archie's latest invention, a whirly whiz winder.
17:32Edie put Archie's spooky sheets to good use when she brought them to the nursery to use in a game
17:38of musical spooks.
17:42And that was the story in Balamori.
17:44Oh, the children loved playing musical spooks with Edie.
17:48I did too.
17:52And I'll see you soon.
17:54Bye!
