03:38Good morning, Archie
03:39And how are you today?
03:40Fine, thank you, Miss Hoodie
03:42You look very smart this morning, if I may say so
03:45Thank you
03:46And they are beautiful flowers
03:47Yes, I'm meeting my sister and my little niece for lunch
03:50I wanted to make a special effort for her
03:52The flowers are for her
03:53They are lovely
03:57And you look marvellous
03:59Give us a twirl
04:04What's the joke?
04:06You look great
04:08There's just one teensy-weensy thing
04:10What?
04:11It's your socks, Archie
04:12They're odd
04:17Hold on
04:18Yes
04:19They don't match
04:21I see what you mean
04:22I got dressed in such a hurry this morning
04:24These were the first two socks I found
04:25Do you think it matters that they don't match?
04:27Yes, it does if you want to look smart for your visit to your sisters
04:30She doesn't like anything out of place
04:32Yes
04:33You'd better dash home and find two socks that match
04:36Not one white and one red
04:38Just be sure they're both exactly the same
04:40Right, well, thanks for your help, Miss Hoodie
04:47He's forgotten his flowers
04:51Which colour of house will he visit first today?
05:03Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
05:08Well, there's part of the story in Bala Morias
05:12Which is the house for me?
05:14Is it yellow?
05:16Is it pink?
05:17Is it orange?
05:19What do you think?
05:20Is it red, green, blue or white?
05:23Which coloured house do you think is right?
05:26Yellow house?
05:27Orange house?
05:29Blue, pink or white?
05:31Green house?
05:33Red house?
05:34Which do you think is right?
05:43Which coloured house are we going to?
05:46Tell me what do you think?
05:48Which coloured house are we going to?
05:51Tell me what do you think?
05:57Yes, it's the pink house because that's where I live
06:07One white or one red, that would do too
06:10Oh dear, this laundry basket is such a jumble
06:15I shall have to invent a sock sorting machine
06:17Ah, this looks promising
06:19What a fine sock
06:23Oh, well that doesn't match either
06:26Fiddlesticks
06:29Say, do you know where I can find my missing sock?
06:32No
06:33White or red, either will do
06:34No
06:35Oh dear, well it looks like I'll have to go and see my sister wearing odd socks after all
06:41Oh, what was that?
06:43Sounds like Spencer
06:45Hey Archie, how's it going?
06:47Who are you talking to just now?
06:49Oh, er, er, er, no one
06:51I was just thinking out loud about a new invention
06:55Yes, sir, about a new invention
06:57You are such a clever guy Archie
06:59Well, er, what can I do for you?
07:01I don't mean to be rude, but I'm in a hurry, you see
07:03I'm meeting my sister for lunch
07:04Okay, I'll get straight to the point, I've come for my paintbrush
07:07Oh, your paintbrush
07:08Uh, no, let me think
07:10It's not, it's not there, it's not there, it's up there
07:15Yeah, I put it there, it's safe
07:18What happened to it? It looks weird
07:21Oh, er, I changed it to, er, to make it easy to paint round corners, look
07:25Oh, how cool
07:29Let me go, a paintbrush that paints around corners, Archie or something
07:36Archie, did you know you're wearing odd socks today?
07:40Yes, I'm having rather a bad damn thing
07:41I'm going to meet my sister for lunch
07:44I can't find any socks that match
07:46I can help you look
07:47Oh, would you? Oh, Spencer, that would be fantastic
07:50Yes, I'm in such a hurry, in such a mess
07:53It is a mess, oh, you know, you've got more odd socks in here than I've got pots of paint
07:58Well, I'm looking for one white or one red
08:00Matching pair?
08:01A matching pair
08:02Okay, um, er, found!
08:06Oh, my sock
08:08One white sock
08:08My white sock
08:09Oh, well done, Spencer
08:12Oh, no
08:17Now I've got one white sock, and one white sock with blue paint
08:22They don't match anymore
08:24I am so sorry, I should have washed my hand before I helped you look for the sock
08:29Oh, don't worry
08:30Oh, no, I'm going to be late
08:32Oh, where have I put the flowers?
08:35I've left in the cafe
08:37Archie, Archie, you still have odd socks on
08:39I hope someone helps Archie find the matching white sock before it's too late
08:56Hello, Archie
08:57Hello, Susie
09:01Archie, you're back! I thought you were going to find yourself a pair of matching socks
09:08I really must sort my home out into some sort of order, but I don't know where to start
09:13Oh, flowers, brilliant!
09:15What you need is to find someone who's good at sorting things
09:18Someone who keeps things neat and tidy
09:20And someone who might have a spare pair of matching socks for you to wear today
09:24Do I know anyone like that?
09:25Of course you do! Penny Pocket and Susie Sweet, they're always good at keeping things neat
09:31Of course, the village shop, it's always tidy, there's never a thing out of place
09:34Right, well, I'll pop in and see Penny and Susie
09:41I'm Susie Sweet
09:42I'm Penny Pocket
09:44We're pleased to help you
09:45We both run the village shop and cafe
09:49Hey!
09:51I can tell you things you'd never dream, you'd ever know
09:57I can count your money up and see how far it goes
10:06I can do this and I can sit down and we both just get along
10:11I can count these art rules
10:14And I can tell you where they're from
10:17I can do this and I can sit down and we both really are good shows
10:23Susie and Penny in the village shop
10:28If you're having difficulty counting anything
10:33Or if you'd like some chat, chat, chat
10:36Just give us a read
10:38If you fancy a treat, just bop along the street
10:41Come a visit, we'd love to see you
10:44We know most things between us two
10:47So if there's anything we can do
10:53I'm Susie Sweet
10:55I'm Penny Pocket
10:56We're pleased to help you
10:59We both run the village shop and cafe
11:02Hey! We have a laugh each day
11:05In the shop and cafe
11:08Wee-hey!
11:13Hello, Susie!
11:15Hello, Archie!
11:17You're looking rather dapper today
11:20Very smart
11:22Except for...
11:26Except for my socks, I know
11:29So, what's the story in Vallamore?
11:34Well, I'd better tell you right from the beginning
11:36My sister asked me for lunch
11:38But when I got to the cafe
11:43Miss Hooley noticed that I was wearing odd socks
11:51I dashed back to try and find a matching pair
11:54But my things were in such a mud
11:56And I couldn't find two socks the same
11:59Spencer offered to help me find some matching socks
12:01But he got paint on my only pair
12:07Miss Hooley said that you might be able to help me sort out my mud
12:09And find me a pair of socks that match
12:13Well, it looks like we have to show you how to store things neatly
12:18And...
12:20Keep things in pairs
12:22Like gloves
12:24And shoes
12:25And socks!
12:27I especially need to know about socks
12:29Well that shouldn't be too difficult
12:31I'll just give Penny a call
12:33This is more her field of expertise
12:36Penny!
12:37What's up?
12:39Archie needs our help
12:40To get himself into order
12:42Oh, so I can see
12:44Right, first things first
12:46Do you know what a pair is Archie?
12:49Yes, it's when you have two things that are the same
12:51Two things which go together, right
12:53Like a pair of shoes
12:55Or a pair of eyes
12:58Now, to make sure you can always find a pair of shoes, gloves
13:02Or socks
13:03Exactly
13:03You divide them in two colours
13:07And finally
13:09Into pairs
13:10It's easy when you know how
13:12I think he's getting the idea
13:14Great Scott
13:15I should be at my sister's by now and I haven't found a pair of socks that match yet
13:19Archie
13:21I've got something for you
13:25Oh, thank you
13:26You are a pair of heroes
13:29I'll see you later
13:29Come back
13:31Archie!
13:32It might be an idea if you put the sock on first
13:44Hello Sam, it's with you
13:46Oh, thank you
13:48Hello Uncle Archie
13:50Hello Megan
13:51Hi, you're looking very smart today, matching socks and all
13:54Oh, right, thank you
13:55Well, I'm very organised
13:56In fact, if you need anything else organised, then, well, I'm your man
13:59Well, you can have a look in Megan's bedroom, what a mess
14:02Really? Well, come on, lead the way
14:15Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, this is a mess, isn't it, Megan?
14:19Looks like I've got my work cut out
14:28Well, we'll come on
14:32Now, first things first, Megan
14:34What is your favourite colour?
14:37Pink
14:37Pink, excellent
14:39Right, well, er, er, let's, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er,
14:44er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er, er...
14:48They're both pink, aren't they, but not the same size.
14:51One's lighter and one's darker.
14:54Exactly. So, can we find the matching one of either of these?
14:59Here we go. These are a pair.
15:01They're both the same size, both the same style,
15:04and they're both the same colour.
15:06So what we've got to do when we make a pair of socks
15:08is get two socks of exactly the same size, colour,
15:13OK, style, then we'll put them together,
15:16and then we'll have a pair.
15:16Yeah. Right, well, let's start pairing these socks, Megan.
15:30Oh, that's a very fine way of pairing socks.
15:32Right, well, I'll try and pair my socks like that in the future.
15:34Thank you very much.
15:41Ooh. Well, how about that?
15:44Sort of, sort of, I have to pair them together.
15:46Something like this, is it?
15:47Mm-hmm.
15:49Very long sock.
15:51Right.
15:54Then I hold on to it.
15:55Mm-hmm.
15:55And then I just...
15:56Pull that up.
15:59It's pink in there.
16:00Well, look, it's a different pink, isn't it?
16:02Well, there we go.
16:03Another pair of socks.
16:06Ooh.
16:08They go together.
16:09Ah, they do.
16:10They do go together.
16:11Excellent.
16:16Matching in colour,
16:17they're matching in size,
16:18and they're in a nice, neat pile.
16:20Thanks to Penny and Susie's tips.
16:30So, what was the story in Bala Mori today?
16:34Well,
16:40Archie was in a muddle
16:41because he'd been invited to his sister's for lunch,
16:44but he was wearing odd socks.
16:48I sent him home to look for another pair.
16:54Then Spencer turned up at Archie's house,
16:56and he got blue paint onto Archie's matching sock.
17:01So he still had no matching socks to wear.
17:05Susie and Penny were next to try,
17:07and they helped to sort things out
17:09and get everything ship-shape.
17:11They even gave Archie a matching sock to wear.
17:15Then, when he went to his sister's house,
17:17he was able to show his niece, Megan,
17:19what he'd learned about putting things into pairs, too.
17:23And Megan had some good ideas of her own
17:25about how to pair socks together.
17:36So,
17:37that was the story
17:39in Bala Mori.
17:40See you next time.
17:42Bye.
