Edie wants to go deer spotting with PC Plum, but when she finds out Archie has her tent and his nephews are enjoying using it, Archie suggests another way – by dressing up as a pantomime horse. This new plan however causes trouble around Balamory.

01:47Well, today in BALAMORI, it's a sunny day!
01:56And everyone here is busy going to work and school!
02:02So, I wonder what adventures we'll get up to today?
02:07Oh, look!
02:08It's my camouflage hat!
02:13I wear this when I go birdwatching with PC Plum!
02:17What do you think?
02:19No, it's not very flashy!
02:21That's because it's coloured to look like the trees
02:24with its browns and greens and shadows!
02:27It means that PC Plum and I can hide in the bushes
02:30and the birds won't see us!
02:33Ah, there's the school bus!
02:36I wonder who'll be coming to the BALAMORI nursery today?
02:41Hello, Adam!
02:42And Sarah!
02:43Hi, Bonnie!
02:47It's Joanne!
02:49Hi, Mark!
02:51And Matthew!
02:53And who else, I wonder?
02:55And you!
02:56Join in the fun too!
03:00Everybody, everyone, come inside and join the fun!
03:06Painting, splodging, splashing, dancing, lobbing, building!

03:30Seven, eight, nine, ten!
03:37Coming!
03:38Ready or not!
03:40There's something over here!
03:42Hello!
03:45Okay, watch ahead!
03:46Let's see who else I can find!
03:48What's happening over here?
03:50Somebody!
03:51Who's this?
03:52Hello!
03:54There you go!
03:56Shh!
03:57Let's see who else we can find!
03:59I see someone over here!
04:01Who's there?
04:02I have to see you!
04:06Did you hear that?
04:08Sounds like we have a visitor!
04:10I wonder who it can be!
04:11Now, I think we should all go and hide in the place that we hid in first!
04:15That's it!
04:16And then we can jump out and give them a flight, whoever it is at the door!
04:21Shh!
04:26Hello there!
04:29Miss Hooley!
04:31Well, that's odd!
04:33Where is everyone?
04:36Miss Hooley!
04:37One, two, three!
04:38Anyone at home?
04:39Shouts!
04:44Sorry, Edie!
04:45Well done, everyone!
04:46We were playing a game of hide and seek!
04:48You were certainly very well hidden!
04:50Come in and have a nice cup of tea!
04:51Calm down!
04:53Oh, thank you!
04:55It was really quite funny too!
04:58So, apart from terrifying you, what else can I do for you?
05:01Oh, yes!
05:03Now, you know, I lent you my tent for the nursery!
05:06Yes!
05:07The children loved hiding in that too!
05:09Oh, good!
05:10Well, I was wondering if I could have it back!
05:12Your tent?
05:13Why are you going camping?
05:14No!
05:15I'm going deer spotting with PC Plum!
05:18Fantastic!
05:19I love deer, especially the ones with the big antlers!
05:23Oh, thank you!
05:27Now, about my tent!
05:29You see, I need to turn it into a hide!
05:31Oh, hey!
05:33Would you like to borrow my camouflage hat?
05:35It's just the thing for deer spotting!
05:37Oh, nice one!
05:40So, about my tent!
05:42Your tent?
05:43Well, yes!
05:44I've been meaning to tell you, Archie's borrowed it!
05:48Archie?
05:49I didn't think you'd mind!
05:50Oh, no!
05:51No, of course not!
05:52But...
05:52I'm sure he's taking great care of it!
05:54Oh, yes!
05:55I'm sure!
05:56But I'd better just nip up to the castle and fetch it back!
05:59Okay!
06:00Sorry, Edie!
06:01Oh!
06:01Don't forget my hat!
06:03Oh, yes!
06:04I'll bring it back as soon as we've finished our deer spotting!
06:07Okay!
06:08Bye!
06:08Good luck!
06:09Bye!
06:09Bye!
06:11So, which coloured house do you think Edie will visit first today?
06:16Ooh say hi-bye
06:20sence
06:21Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
06:26Well, there's part of the story In Bala Mori asks which is the house for me.
06:32Is it pink? Is it blue? Which colored house are we going to?
06:38Yellow, green house, orange or red? Or should we go to the white house instead?
06:49Which colored house are we going to? Tell me what do you think?
06:55Which colored house are we going to? Tell me what do you think?
07:01It's the pink house!
07:04Yes, it's the pink house because that's where Archie lives.
07:11Hello? Anyone at home?
07:18Archie! Archie!
07:26Pirates!
07:27It's me, Archie. I'm not really a pirate.
07:30Oh, Archie, everyone is jumping out at me today.
07:35Oh, what a kerfuffle!
07:40Oh, my fault.
07:43Archie, this place is a health hazard. What, with toys and food all over the place?
07:48I know. My sister's come to stay with her two children, Alec and Candy. I've been trying to entertain them,
07:54but they're so demanding. It's exhausting. Then you came to the rescue.
07:59Me?
07:59Well, your tent came to the rescue.
08:01Oh, yes, my tent.
08:03I set it up on the turret and, uh, Alec and Candy have been no bother for hours.
08:08So my tent is outside?
08:10Yes. You've saved the day. They love it.
08:13Would it be possible to have my tent back, Archie? You see, PC Plum and I are going deer spotting.
08:20Deer spotting?
08:20And we need my tent to hide in so that we can spot the deer.
08:26But what about the children?
08:28Well, can't you find something else for them to play with?
08:30Oh, yeah, of course. I mean, absolutely. Naturally.
08:33Oh, those poor children.
08:35Well?
08:37Um, Edie, what would you say if I told you that I have here in my castle my latest invention
08:42for deer spotting?
08:43Go on.
08:44Well, you see, um, my great aunt Lottie used to be the back end of a horse.
08:49Oh, my dear Archie.
08:51Oh, I didn't know you had a horse in the family.
08:54Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
08:55A pantomime horse.
08:56And she bequeathed the front and the back ends to me.
08:59Oh.
08:59Well, how does it work?
09:01Well, you wear it and then you look like a horse.
09:03But we're going deer spotting.
09:05Oh.
09:06Yeah, well, that's the genius of it.
09:08Um, antlers.
09:09Um, right.
09:11Uh, not the poor face.
09:12And, uh, these sticks.
09:15And, uh, then you have antlers.
09:21The horns of a deer.
09:23Oh.
09:24And, uh, the horse becomes a deer.
09:28Exactly.
09:28Well, I think a test runs in order.
09:30Uh, now, uh, you go to the front and observe our tradition.
09:32I shall take up the rear.
09:41Where are we going, Archie?
09:43Uh, a quick camp around Balamori, I think.
09:45Oh.
09:46Yeah!
09:47Oh.
09:48Oh.
09:49Oh.
09:50Oh.
09:50Oh.
09:51Oh.
09:55Oh.
09:57Oh.
09:58Oh.
09:59Oh.
09:59Oh.
09:59Oh.
09:59Oh.
10:00Oh.
10:12Oh.
10:14Oh.
10:18Oh.
10:19Oh.
10:20Oh.
10:24Oh.
10:26Oh.
10:29Oh.
10:30Oh.
10:30Oh.
10:30Oh.
10:31Turn and look that dog in the eye, Edie.
10:34Oh my goodness, what a grumpy-looking dog!
10:37Shoo! Shoo!
10:39And you! You shoo too!
10:43Oh, you hooligan animal! You've ruined my display!
10:47Where is your owner?
10:48What's going on?
10:50There's creatures on the ramp!
10:52Oh, look! It's eaten my groceries!
10:55There's only one thing to do...
10:57Call on PC Plum!
11:07If you have a little problem, do not frown!
11:10Do not frown!
11:12Those things all lost and stolen can be found, can be found!
11:16Do not touch a thing around you, not a crumb!
11:19Not a crumb!
11:20Just call up your policeman, PC Plum!
11:23PC Plum!
11:24Follow the crew, follow the crew!
11:27Follow the crew, follow the crew!
11:28Remember what you did and where you went and what you've done!
11:32Sticky fingers leave a mark and lead to sticky bun!
11:36Every clue will be collected and examined by a blunt!
11:42Follow the crew, follow the crew!
11:44Follow the crew, follow the crew!
11:46Follow the crew, follow the crew!
11:48I will work it out!
11:50If you have a little problem, do not frown!
11:52Do not frown!
11:54Do not frown!
11:54Those things all lost and stolen can be found, can be found!
11:57If you've got a question, just ask your willing chum!
12:02The answer you will get from PC Plums!
12:06Four prints lead to animals, I can tell you everyone!
12:10Could prints lead to mucky boots?
12:12Did they walk or did they run?
12:14Every clue will be collected and examined by a blunt!
12:19Follow the crew, follow the crew!
12:24Follow the crew, follow the crew!
12:27Follow the crew, follow the crew!
12:30Follow the crew, follow the crew!
12:32Follow the crew, follow the crew!
12:33Follow the crew, follow the crew!
12:33Follow the crew, follow the crew!
12:33I will work it out!
12:35Plum, plum, plum, plum, plum, plum, plum!
12:51Susie, can I help you?
12:53Yes, please, PC Plum.
12:55This creature fell into my shop display
12:58and then started to eat the groceries.
13:02I beg your pardon, we did not.
13:05Who said that?
13:06Pod.
13:09Ah, this is a very strange animal indeed.
13:12It's got yoghurt pot accessories.
13:14Are you going to make an arrest?
13:16Well, it is a wild animal.
13:18I will do a thorough investigation
13:20and thank you very much for bringing it to me.
13:23Well, I do hope we don't see any more wild animals.
13:29Well, I think that calls for a cup of tea, don't you?
13:33One lump for you, Archie, and a slice of lemon for you, Edie.
13:39So, what's the story in Balamori?
13:45Well, I called round to the nursery to collect my tent
13:48that I had lent Miss Hooley and the children.
13:51I told her that I was going deer-spotting with you, PC Plum,
13:55and I needed to use the tent as a hide.
13:58Miss Hooley told me Archie had the tent.
14:01He told me his nephews were having a great time playing pirates inside my tent.
14:08Archie didn't want to spoil the children's fun,
14:10so he told me about an invention he had made for deer-spotting.
14:14It meant we had to dress up as a pantomime horse,
14:18but Archie had cleverly made it look like a deer.
14:23To test Archie's amazing invention,
14:27we trotted around Balamori.
14:30It worked very well until a dog chased us to the shop.
14:36Oh, so, we're very sorry, Plummy.
14:39We were just trying out a new way to spot deer.
14:42Sorry, Plumbers.
14:44Never mind.
14:45But I'm afraid dressing up like a pantomime horse with twigs in its head
14:49isn't going to fool a deer.
14:50Any strange movement upsets deer.
14:53Well, I'm sorry, Plummy.
14:54We can't use my tent because of...
14:56It's Alec and Andy.
14:57They love playing in Edie's tent.
14:59Well, why don't we all go deer-spotting
15:02with Alec and Andy
15:03and with Edie's tent as well,
15:05so we'll all be happy.
15:07Plumbers, you're a genius.
15:08Let's go spot some deer.
15:10Come on, boys.
15:11Oh.
15:27Ah, first clue.
15:29A deer hoofprint.
15:30That means a deer's been here.
15:33Two more back, actually.
15:37Ten feet.
15:46No.
15:48All we have to do now is sit and watch and wait.
16:09Oh, what's that with the white tail?
16:12Oh, Edie, you've spotted the first deer.
16:21I think I can see some antlers, Plumbers.
16:23Can you?
16:25Oh, yes.
16:27Oh, stags have antlers.
16:28Oh, actually, you've spotted the first stag.
16:31Stag is a male deer.
16:36Oh, they really are such beautiful creatures.
16:48Thank you for showing us the deer, Plumbers.
16:58Edie has just returned my camouflage hat.
17:01She had a fantastic time deer-spotting.
17:04So, what was the story in Balamori today?
17:08Well.
17:11Edie called round to the nursery to collect her tent she had lent me.
17:15She told me she was going deer-spotting with PC Plum
17:18and she needed to use the tent as a hide.
17:21I told Edie that Archie had borrowed the tent.
17:25When she called at Archie's castle,
17:27he told her that his nephews were having a great time playing pirates inside her tent.
17:32Archie didn't want to spoil the children's fun so he showed Edie his latest deer-spotting invention
17:38which was a pantomime horse disguised as a deer.
17:42To test Archie's amazing invention, Edie and Archie trotted round Balamori but a dog chased them to the shop.
17:50PC Plum came to the rescue.
17:52To make everyone happy, he took them all deer-spotting with Archie's nephews coming along too.
17:58They saw lots of deer and stags with their big antlers.
18:04And I'll just pop this back into the cupboard.
18:09And I'll see you very soon.
18:12Bye!
18:20Bye!
18:28Balamori, Balamori, what's a story in Balamori?
18:31What would you like to know?
