00:00We are right along the warm frontal zone ahead of a cluster of supercell storms that are
00:04organizing and these banded hoagie bun clouds as we call them are a sign of the very strong
00:10low-level wind shear along the warm frontal zone.
00:13You can see the orange skies down to the south of it, that's the big instability with the
00:18upper 60s dew points out there and then right along the warm frontal zone you can see these
00:22hoagie bun clouds.
00:24There is very strong low-level wind shear in place along the warm frontal zone and we
00:28also have storms that are organizing.
00:30You can even see a base way in the distance out near Beardstown.
00:34Those supercells are continuing to mature and their mesocyclones are rapidly intensifying
00:39and they are moving into an environment with high-end instability and strong low-level wind
00:43shear supportive of even EF2 and stronger tornadoes and these are going to be very fast-moving
00:50supercells today as well, very fast storm motions today.
00:53So these are going to be on your doorstep in a matter of minutes and definitely once they're
00:57producing a tornado it's likely going to be a long track one as well just because the
01:01ingredients are all in place for very powerful tornadoes this afternoon through the evening
01:06from central Illinois into central Indiana including Springfield all the way to Indianapolis.
