00:00:04okay yeah so it's recording now guys so yesterday we went through the posts here on the left the
00:00:10blog post the timeline stories here that's for your history page we went through a bit of the
00:00:16pages the list of all the pages on the site and we went through events on a yesterday so we
00:00:25so
00:00:25today we'll cover what we'll do we'll finish off pages we'll do a bit we'll do the media so uploading
00:00:30images and we'll go through the rest of the modules here the rooms the reviews gallery and offers here
00:00:37on the left hand side okay so go through here yesterday so this is the front end of the site
00:00:43so once you log in you'll come in again you'll see this bar again and if you need to go
00:00:47to the
00:00:47back end it's this button up here to take you to the dashboard so that will just bring you to
00:00:52the
00:00:52back end again so you'll have all your menu here and if you're yeah I don't think I said this
00:00:57yesterday but if you're here and you want to go to the front end of the site if you put
00:01:00your mouse
00:01:00over the home icon there and click visit site you'll be it'll take you to the front end of the
00:01:05site there as well okay so what we'll do now so what we do we finished up yesterday we were
00:01:12in the
00:01:13edit page we were in the home page I think or it was a CMS training page wasn't it so
00:01:19we'll go back to
00:01:20that we'll go to pages we'll just scroll down through here and we'll try and find it cm it was
00:01:27CMS training so yeah it's here so CMS training here so we were inside in the edit we'll just recap
00:01:36all this stuff so we're inside here and we we went through all the modules available on the on the
00:01:41page itself so we copy this page using the duplicate this to link in the pages and we edited I
00:01:48showed you how to
00:01:48edit the the modules on the page so we'll just have a look so we're back in the front end
00:01:55now
00:01:55we'll scroll down now and we edited all these yesterday okay so that's the edit page there so
00:02:07if we go back to the dashboard now we just have a look at the pages page itself we just
00:02:13make sure we
00:02:13covered everything so there's a search box over here as well you can use this to find a page if
00:02:17you're
00:02:17looking for it also with the CMS you have quick edit and you've edit so you can quick edit you
00:02:22can
00:02:22change the title of it there so yeah you can change it to a draft if you want if you
00:02:27want to remove it
00:02:28from the site here you can so that's that there you can also delete the the page as well using
00:02:35the trash
00:02:36here so you can click trash it'll go into a trash link up here so you'll be able to if
00:02:42you don't want
00:02:42it on the site anymore you can click view so that will just let you see view the page and
00:02:48you can
00:02:48click duplicate this as well here so you can make a copy of this page if you want to make
00:02:53a new page
00:02:54or something like that also on the front end of the site if you if you want to duplicate this
00:03:01page on
00:03:02the front end of the site you can go up here and if you hover over edit page you can
00:03:06click duplicate
00:03:07this as a draft and that will duplicate the page make a clone of the page as well there guys
00:03:13okay
00:03:14so if we go back now so that's pages okay so what we'll move on to next now we'll go
00:03:22on to the rooms one
00:03:23here so if we click on rooms here you can see these are all your room types you have so
00:03:28you have a two
00:03:28queen room you have a king deluxe room you have a king junior suite so if we go to the
00:03:33site now we
00:03:34just go to your room space so we'll go to sleep here it rooms and suites so you can see
00:03:40these are
00:03:41all all your rooms that you have so you've got the standard double room you've got the two double room
00:03:48king room and if you click on more and bring get bring you into the information off the page so
00:03:55from
00:03:55here you can click on edit room if you want in here on the front end of the site or
00:03:59if you're in the
00:04:00back end you can click on the quick edit or the edit here on the the the back end here
00:04:06so for right
00:04:08now so what I'll do I'll just click edit room here on the front end so if you need to
00:04:11make a change to
00:04:12this room you can just click that so you can change the title here so change it to kings maybe
00:04:17it's a king
00:04:18deluxe room or something you need to update it later on you can change it like that you can update
00:04:22the
00:04:23content you can add in a link if you want here in the text box here if you need to
00:04:28so if I go back
00:04:29to the site if I click view room so this will let me see the room again so you can
00:04:36see this image in
00:04:37the background here if you need to change that it's here on the right hand side in under feature room
00:04:42so
00:04:43you can you can can remove this feature room if you want if you want to update you can click
00:04:49it there and
00:04:50then update it in the media library there so that's the the rooms module there if we go back now
00:04:58if we
00:04:58go to sleep so the sleep page is a it's um it's a normal page itself so you can just
00:05:07click edit page
00:05:07here if we scroll down so you can see it's got a title it's got a bit of content and
00:05:14it's using one of the
00:05:15modules it's using the room archive module here to to load the room so you can see in here it
00:05:21has a tab
00:05:22title so if I view the page we'll try and compare the two okay so that is sleep so well
00:05:31done here
00:05:33oh it's got rooms so so you can see here it says tab these are tabs so the first tab
00:05:40is number one there
00:05:42and the second tab is sweet so if we go to the front end of the site here you can
00:05:45see you have
00:05:46rooms and suites here so if I want to change the text on suites yeah you'd have to change it
00:05:52in the
00:05:53tab title the second one there and you can see here that you can you can add in rooms here
00:06:00so if I
00:06:00click on here I can add in a family suite here if I want or any from there so it
00:06:05kind of it filters out
00:06:06all the room so you've got standard double room you've got two double room you've got king room
00:06:11king deluxe room and these rooms are being pulled from the the rooms module over here on the left
00:06:17hand side so yep okay so if you wanted to add in a new room so what we'll do we'll
00:06:25we'll just go to
00:06:26rooms now open that up there as you can see these are all the rooms that are being pulled at
00:06:32the moment
00:06:33so if we want to add in a new one we can click add new room up here or we
00:06:37can duplicate one of these
00:06:38and just change the text around so I'm going to duplicate the queen room here so duplicate queen
00:06:45there and you can see it's after duplicating it and making it a draft so what I'm going to do
00:06:50I'm
00:06:50just going to click a quick edit and I'm gonna call it you it's gonna call it CMS training room
00:07:01and we're
00:07:02just gonna click update there so now we're going to go click edit so now we're in the in the
00:07:10room
00:07:11itself so I want to change the featured image so I'm going to click remove feature image and we're
00:07:17going to click set featured image now so it loads up our media library and this has got all our
00:07:22rooms
00:07:23in it or all your images so we can scroll through and we can pick out an image there that
00:07:29suits our room
00:07:29so I'm going to go with this one here and we're just going to click set featured image so that
00:07:35gets
00:07:35um that gets added there I can update the content if I want I can change it around add in
00:07:41a bit more of
00:07:42my own content I can again we can put a link on this if we want I can click insert
00:07:49link here and you
00:07:50could just copy and paste the link in there or you can click the gear icon here and it will
00:07:54give you more
00:07:55options then so it'll give you a list of all your events or your pages so you can go through
00:08:02this these
00:08:04are all your pages so I can link it to the getting here page if you if I want or
00:08:08I could use the search
00:08:09box to find that as well so we'll just click add link now and you can see that's actually becoming
00:08:13a
00:08:14link now itself okay so I think that's so we can so inside when we create a room we need
00:08:23to put in a
00:08:25link to the booking engine I think so there's a you can say a book now here and it's linking
00:08:31to this
00:08:32booking engine link here and also if we scroll down now we need to set a room preview image so
00:08:40there's a
00:08:41few of these here okay so if I look at what I'll do I'll just exit this one here and
00:08:49we'll add in a
00:08:50new image as well we'll scroll down when I'll pick out trying to pick out the same room image there
00:08:55so
00:08:56I think that's the one I went for before I'm not sure make select so what I'll do now I'll
00:09:03just click
00:09:03publish just to save that and we'll see how it looks out so we're just going to click view
00:09:12room and this is the the the room which I just created there so it's using the featured image
00:09:20there and it's got it's called it's called Queen room and you can see it's got the link there that
00:09:26I added so it this is the the image here that I took away I added this one in so
00:09:32we could add in
00:09:32two different ones so you can have three images in the room type and these are the amenities here so
00:09:39we're just going to go back to the edit room now and we'll scroll down we'll have a look so
00:09:44we can
00:09:45change these images again if we want so I'll just click on these go to add images and we'll pick
00:09:53out
00:09:53another room here maybe a bathroom image there we'll change this one as well well then I'll go for this
00:10:08one
00:10:08as well so if you scroll down further you can see it's got the amenities here so you can choose
00:10:14the
00:10:14the ones that's that are available so I'll take away two of them there we'll take away three of them
00:10:22there maybe and then you've you've also got a suggestion thing here so it says you might also like
00:10:30and you can pick out another one of the rooms there and so we'll go for the two to improve
00:10:35and we'll just
00:10:37hit update now let's click the view room now again no if I you guys know what this is it
00:10:53now so this
00:10:54we're after updating the amenities we took away three of them so you can see it's after getting shorter so
00:10:59it's only got those five now and it's after updating the images so that is the rooms there guys so
00:11:07you've
00:11:07also got the book now there so you can you that's where you can put in a link to the
00:11:12booking engine there
00:11:13if you want so that was down here so you can see book now here and it's got the link
00:11:18here so that that's
00:11:19where the book now appears there so if I scroll up is that okay guys yes actually I have two
00:11:27questions
00:11:28um so for the book now um we have a certain room we not allowed to book online they have
00:11:36to call in
00:11:36you know to book can we change it to call now I believe there's some sweet with this so I
00:11:43wonder
00:11:43how you changed from book now to call now um I'm not too sure so so you have some rooms
00:11:53that you have
00:11:53to call out to book is it yeah um I think if you go back to maybe let's say sweet
00:11:59and I think
00:12:02like we go but still want that call now and maybe yeah so you maybe you can find out okay
00:12:11so if I go to
00:12:13sleep here so inside one of these suites is it yeah okay so one of these rooms yeah I think
00:12:23my family
00:12:24suite is the one yeah okay so these have call now so if I click this or it asked me
00:12:30if I want to open
00:12:30up my Skype so what we'll do now we'll just um we'll just click uh to edit page there we'll
00:12:37see
00:12:38what way it's done here so we'll scroll down so it's loading uh these suites here so uh the family
00:12:47suite the hospitality suite we'll just have a look and that seems okay so it's set inside in the rooms
00:12:52module here so we'll look at one of the suites now and we'll see what way it says uh call
00:12:57now so family
00:12:58suite had the call now I think so if we go edit yeah uh okay so we'll scroll down so
00:13:05you can see it has
00:13:06inside in here it has call now but uh the link is it has a tel and uh to um
00:13:13that icon there and
00:13:15followed by the the number there so is that is that correct guys uh the phone number yeah okay
00:13:23it's cool so you could just uh you could just copy it from there
00:13:25we need to enter number one in front of it it probably depends on your area code um so you'd
00:13:37probably want it to be an international number so it brings your hotel regardless
00:13:43okay that's fine yeah that's fine yeah we're gonna okay okay cool uh so yeah so that's how you do
00:13:50it
00:13:50there so i i can copy this if i want and we can go back to our rooms there and
00:13:56you can see this is my
00:13:57cms training rooms we'll click edit
00:14:01and i can replace that now with a call so that goes in there
00:14:06like us or call now wasn't it now and we can update that
00:14:23and and if we go if we view the page now okay i have so many tabs open now guys
00:14:30uh if i
00:14:31view page i might close off a few of them so if we scroll down so now it says call
00:14:38now and when i
00:14:38click that it it um it tries to open up my skype here so on mobile on mobile that would
00:14:45open up the
00:14:46uh the the call button for the mobile for mobile users okay uh so if we go back now so
00:14:54now that we've
00:14:54created this room type we want to add it to the the sleep so we we want to add it
00:15:00into one of these
00:15:01here so in under rooms or in other suites so what we can do we can click edit page here
00:15:07so we're
00:15:07inside in the this one here we'll scroll down now if you remember the these um rooms are loaded from
00:15:13the rooms module here on the left hand side so if i just type in or if i click on
00:15:18it there it gives me
00:15:19an option of it or if i could start typing cms so i can click on it there so now
00:15:25that's been added to
00:15:26the list of rooms in in under the rooms tab so uh what i might do i might just click
00:15:31uh preview changes
00:15:33so we won't actually put it on the site but we'll preview how it looks okay so we're in the
00:15:40uh the
00:15:41rooms page uh the sleep page here we'll scroll down we'll click on rooms when it's already on rooms
00:15:48uh we'll scroll down now and our cms page should be added to the bottom of this bottom of this
00:15:55list or
00:15:55is it maybe i it's probably limited to to six there guys so what we'll do we'll go back to
00:16:03the edit page
00:16:04we'll close this off so one two three four five six so it's probably limited um and i i don't
00:16:11want to
00:16:12remove one for now so um okay okay so for those room types we only have those six spots to
00:16:22use uh
00:16:23i'm not entirely sure i might just click update there guys and i will have a quick look on the
00:16:29site so we'll just click view page now so that so that should be published now so we'll scroll down
00:16:35okay so it wouldn't appear in the preview so it does you can add in more than uh more more
00:16:42than
00:16:42uh six to the room types so you can see the cms training room um got added there and it's
00:16:48got the
00:16:48call now and i can click on more and it will take me to the it'll take me to the
00:16:52uh to the page uh to
00:16:55the with the details so we set the feature demo and the amenities here so what i'm going to do
00:17:00i'm just
00:17:00going to go back and i'm going to remove that now guys because i don't want it on your live
00:17:05site for
00:17:05too long yeah um actually i have a question about the preview uh room preview um what's the best practice
00:17:14to upload the photos i see that like we're not i i guess we couldn't upload the vertical images
00:17:24i'm just asking like do you have any suggestions about the photos oh when you're up yeah
00:17:30so when i'm going through media i'll i'll show you i'll tell you what's best best practice
00:17:35um so media over here this is where we'll upload all your images um it's probably best to have your
00:17:40images bigger than 1920 by 1080 and then any that's that that's larger than that we can just crop them
00:17:47inside there and they'll they'll suit the site fine then okay okay so uh over here on the left
00:17:57site so we're still on rooms now so we've created that uh cms training room there and we what we
00:18:03what
00:18:04i showed you to do there um we added it to the rooms page here so we it's no longer
00:18:09added but
00:18:10you can add it in in the basically if you're working on the site you can do a lot of
00:18:14things
00:18:14with the edit page or the or it might say edit room or edit off or something so any changes
00:18:19you can
00:18:20make it there and if you can't make the change there it's going to be in the back end
00:18:23in under the rooms here guys so that's how you um add a new room type so um so uh
00:18:32so what i'll do i'll
00:18:33just put this i'll change this to a draft click update and uh i might leave that there so you
00:18:41can
00:18:41practice on it someday if you want to add a new room or something like that so it won't appear
00:18:44on the
00:18:45site there as it's a draft right now yeah is that okay guys with rooms yeah yeah actually i have
00:18:53a
00:18:53question about the icon so like on the screen that you are on now and on like right hand side
00:19:01there's a
00:19:01couple like few icons so i try to understand what icon what does okay yes so there's a few icons
00:19:11there
00:19:11and they're not really related or you don't have to worry about them there's a lot of things uh in
00:19:16the cms that that um you'll see but you you won't have to worry about them at all uh so
00:19:22that they're
00:19:23just um uh readability score and seo stuff uh but they don't really apply to the site at all so
00:19:30you don't
00:19:30need to worry about that um because i saw yesterday some of them were green and then today i see
00:19:37that
00:19:37they're all red so i'm like oh right it's like that's something like we need to worry about uh no
00:19:45i don't think it's anton you have to worry about um at all i i've seen it myself and they
00:19:49don't really
00:19:50affect the site at all uh it's just something that's a feature that's there that we're not using
00:19:54um okay and it's not you you don't have to worry about it anyways okay so uh so that's rooms
00:20:01there
00:20:02guys uh so what we'll move on to next is uh offer so i think you've got offers you know
00:20:07in under here
00:20:08under special so you can see uh this is the bedroom wellness yoga and the wellness unit so it's the
00:20:15same
00:20:15as the home page uh so if i open up the the or this is the home page there i'll
00:20:21close that one
00:20:22and we scroll down to remember on the home page this is the the offers and events module
00:20:28uh so this is using the offers tab as well um on this on your uh special offers page uh
00:20:35these are
00:20:36the same offers they're being pulled from uh from from the front uh from the back end of the site
00:20:42so if
00:20:42i click edit page here we can just have a look and see how they're added uh you can change
00:20:47the name
00:20:47of if you want there's uh some text there there's a heading there but if we scroll down you can
00:20:52see
00:20:52you've got the module here again and what this module is called the special offer grid so um
00:20:59so you can see the content is showing all offers okay so if i change the radio button there i
00:21:06click
00:21:06manually select you could you could just um add in whichever one so right now there's only three
00:21:12three uh minus take them back out so right now there's only three on the site so um you're using
00:21:19all offers but it may be in a couple of months when you have a few offers you can change
00:21:23it to manual
00:21:24or you can you can leave it on all offers there so it so the special offers page uh displays
00:21:31all the
00:21:33all the all the offers you have so um
00:21:36um okay so if we go back to the dashboard now and we click on offers
00:21:45just leave this page here you can see this is where we'll create all the uh create and add any
00:21:53new offers so you can see it's similar to the the the other tabs here on the left hand side
00:21:58so you have
00:21:59the edit the quick edit the trash the view and duplicate this so again if you just need to change
00:22:04the title
00:22:04you can click um quick edit or if you want to take it offline you can put put it on
00:22:09draft if you want
00:22:10and click update like that um if you need to make a bigger change to the to the offer you
00:22:15can click on
00:22:16edit here and it will just load it all up there uh you can do the same you can change
00:22:21the thing but you
00:22:22from here you can change the the uh the content and change the link on the button if you like
00:22:27as well
00:22:28so if you want to change the link on the button you just need to click on it and it
00:22:31will give you
00:22:31this pop up here and that shows you that shows you um the link it's currently going to so what
00:22:37i could
00:22:38do i could click um uh this pen icon here and it will let me edit it and we can
00:22:43go click the gear
00:22:44again and we can update it from here guys okay so uh again the with this offer there's a featured
00:22:57image
00:22:58so if i go back to the site now so you can see this is the image that's being used
00:23:02so you need
00:23:02to set a featured image inside in the offer for the offer so if you want you can remove the
00:23:08feature
00:23:09image here and add in a new one as well but what we might do now we might just create
00:23:13our own offer
00:23:14so if we just click on the offer here again and we can duplicate one of these if we want
00:23:20but this time
00:23:21i think we'll use the add new offer up here on the top so we'll click add add new offer
00:23:28click it there so it gives us a blank uh offer there so
00:23:36don't i'll just call it leaves offer there and uh i'll add in some content there just
00:23:43uh dummy texture um so
00:23:54and so if i click i can uh highlight it like that and i can also change i can change
00:23:58it to a heading
00:23:59if i want i can change that bit to a heading um we can leave that as normal context we
00:24:03can
00:24:04uh you know it's a basic uh texture we can bold it we can italic it uh so what we
00:24:10need to do next we
00:24:11need to click um set featured image so what we'll do we'll pick out a different image for this offer
00:24:16we'll go with the coins here so maybe they're saving money or something uh so i have that selected there
00:24:23and i think that's everything so what might be best guys when you're um doing something like this is if
00:24:29you
00:24:29open uh in a new in another tab uh one that's been done previously as well so you can just
00:24:36copy it as
00:24:37well um so i what i'll do i'll just click on edit on the bed and breakfast one and just
00:24:42compare what
00:24:43i've done as well so we've got the bed and breakfast we've got our bit of content and we have
00:24:48image there
00:24:49and it looks like that's uh pretty much the same there uh oh you need to put in a book
00:24:55now link so you
00:24:56can see this one has a book now link here so what i'm going to do i'm just going to
00:25:00copy this you'll
00:25:01be able to get your own book now links uh when the site's running so if i scroll down now
00:25:07and i'm just
00:25:08going to paste this in here so that's the the link we're going to put on it so what i'm
00:25:13going to do i'm
00:25:14going to click publish uh my offer now so i'm publishing this
00:25:21page reloads we're going to go back to the dashboard here now go back to the offers here and you
00:25:25can see
00:25:26Liam's offer is now uh a part of one of the on the site so if we go view the
00:25:33site now
00:25:36all right guys i've got loads of tabs open and we go to special offers now my offer should be
00:25:40shown uh
00:25:41so it's shown there as well so it's like it's got Liam's offer it's called book now and you've got
00:25:46more
00:25:46info if i click on the more info it'll bring us in and it'll just give us more detail so
00:25:51it's the exact
00:25:51same as the other ones so uh if i go to so if i also if i go to edit
00:25:57page now
00:25:59we scroll down you can see with the module here again uh if i scroll down it says all offer
00:26:05so i
00:26:05was showing you this there a little bit earlier so we click on manual and we'll just add in these
00:26:10ones
00:26:10now you can see now it won't use my offer now so on the left hand side is uh what's
00:26:15available to you and
00:26:16on the right hand side is what we'll show on the side so i've got those three now so if
00:26:20i click i
00:26:21click update now
00:26:25and we'll view that page so open it in a new tab there
00:26:29it sees come back to normal now so it's just using those three
00:26:33uh so what i'll do i'll just i'll put this back to the way i got it so we'll minus
00:26:38minus minus minus
00:26:40so and we'll put all offers again so we'll click update
00:26:49go back here we'll reload now this page and you can see my offer gets added back in but uh
00:26:54we don't
00:26:54want it there so what we'll do we'll go back to the offers now and we'll change my offer to
00:26:58a draft
00:26:59so we'll click quick and we'll put this to a draft and now it won't no will no longer appear
00:27:05so maybe
00:27:05it's um it's one of your christmas offers and it's gone past christmas and and you no longer
00:27:12need it on the site you can just change it to a draft and save it for next year there
00:27:15um is that okay guys yeah cool so that's uh your offers there so um so the special offers page
00:27:24here
00:27:25uses the yes i'll reload this page uses the offers that we set in the at the back end there
00:27:33and it's
00:27:33also one of the modules on the home page so it's uh this module here so you could load any
00:27:40of the
00:27:40offers there so if we go okay so what we'll do now so that's rooms and offers done okay so
00:27:48we'll go to
00:27:49reviews now okay so these are your five reviews these are ones that are on the site at the moment
00:27:56so
00:27:56we look they're appearing on the home page if i scroll down along here so these are your reviews
00:28:06here so you can see uh from the desk after so you can see there's five of them here so
00:28:11you can see
00:28:11there's five icons and these are being pulled from the back end as well so if i go to reviews
00:28:16so you can
00:28:16see these are the five these are the five here so if i want to add in a new review
00:28:21i can click add new
00:28:22review or i can duplicate one of these so this time i'll duplicate one of these and
00:28:31and we'll go quick edit and we'll change it to six
00:28:36six and we'll click update
00:28:42yeah and we'll go to click edit now to edit the review itself
00:28:47so is it it starts giving me a copy of the exact same one so what you could do you
00:28:51could go into your
00:28:51TripAdvisor account then and pick out one of the reviews that you want from there and you can just
00:28:56copy and paste it in and follow the same format so i have i just changed this to
00:29:04emote uh and this will just add in a smiley face or something like that to this one okay so
00:29:11that looks
00:29:12like uh that's everything so you don't need to worry about the seo stuff down there uh you've got the
00:29:17text
00:29:18then and we've it's review six we'll just click publish now so this won't appear on the site
00:29:23uh yet so if we go back to the site now and we'll just reload it so i'll show you
00:29:29it doesn't appear you
00:29:29need to tell it to load it uh as well so you can see it's still using only five but
00:29:34if i wanted to use
00:29:35that sixth one i'll click edit page and i will scroll down so we'll find the reviews module now so
00:29:42these
00:29:42are the modules here inside in this kind of gray box here you can see the first one a might
00:29:48take a
00:29:48while to get used to the the names of them but you'll be able to figure out the difference so
00:29:53we're looking for the reviews one so here's uh image text row and here's reviews here so this is
00:30:01the background image here that's being used and you can see the reviews uh you have to add in so
00:30:05it's
00:30:05using one two three four five so if i want to add in the sixth one i'll just click on
00:30:09it here
00:30:10and it will give me all the available ones and you can see number six there is there
00:30:14so we'll just throw that in for a second we'll have a look at see what it looks like on
00:30:17the site
00:30:18we'll click update liam where does it get the trip advisor icon from uh i think i think um that's
00:30:26built
00:30:26into it so it knows um so it would all it will always use the trip advisor one on the
00:30:33site so uh if i just
00:30:35it's it's it's the way the module was designed um i think it was in mind that it would be
00:30:39a trip
00:30:40advisor review so i think that's just built into it all we're adding is the the content to it there
00:30:46so you can see uh you can see there's my name there and i put in a smiley face but
00:30:51the trip
00:30:52advisor is built into that there so and um so i'd say if you want that removed you'd have to
00:30:58contact the

00:31:26reorder them if i want so if i want the my one i just added there to be first i
00:31:32just click and drag
00:31:33and put it there okay uh so you can reorder them that way so i won't actually do that so

00:31:39now i'll just remove that from the site and we'll scroll up and update now so we'll put it back
00:31:45the way we
00:31:46got it there so scroll back up yeah so it's what's updating there so if i go back to reviews

00:32:03and what i'll do i'll just change this to a draft now as well so you won't
00:32:07actually i might delete this one um because uh if you want to add another one you might want to
00:32:13call it review six as well so i'll trash this one just so it's uh consistent
00:32:20but i'll delete this permanently so that's review six that's just the one we did we'll go back to all
00:32:25now and that's the review reviews guys so um so the modules on the site pull in the reviews from
00:32:31here
00:32:32so i think when we're on the site inside the specials
00:32:38there was another i think uh i'm not too sure there was another page that was pulling the
00:32:42reviews from somewhere as well i think uh
00:32:47so yeah so at the bottom of the rooms page as well it's pulling the the five reviews there
00:32:54um so again if we go back again if you want instead of adding a new one you could just
00:33:00edit one of these
00:33:01one of these five um so if you if you want to remove um review three say and want to
00:33:09add in a new one
00:33:10what might be best is if you just come here come in here and update this one here and it
00:33:14will update
00:33:15automatically on on all these ones here if that does that make sense guys yeah okay grab some water
00:33:29okay so uh what we'll move on to next now guys is galleries so galleries here on the left hand
00:33:34side
00:33:34you can see you've got uh three types of galleries you've got events gallery you've got weddings
00:33:38gallery and you've got rooms gallery so what we'll do we'll just go to the front end of the site
00:33:42and
00:33:42we'll have a look and see what these do so we'll click on gallery here so over here on the
00:33:49right hand side
00:33:51and the galleries get loaded from the back end so you can see if i come down here it's got
00:33:57events
00:33:58gallery here so if i can click on that it'll take me to the events if i take click on
00:34:03weddings it will
00:34:03take me to a weddings and if i click on rooms it will take me to rooms so what we
00:34:08will do uh we'll
00:34:09create our our own gallery so what we'll do i'll uh i'll duplicate one of these and we'll just uh
00:34:15make
00:34:16our own um gallery so we'll just click duplicate this we'll copy the weddings one and you can see
00:34:24this is after becoming a draft so change it to leams gallery and we'll just take out the slug there
00:34:32and
00:34:32we'll just click update so it's still a draft at the moment so we'll click edit now it'll bring us
00:34:38in
00:34:39and you can see this is the uh the edit page right first so you can see it's called leams
00:34:47gallery and if
00:34:48we have a look now
00:34:55yeah so you can see it's got a featured image set as well so what we might do we might
00:34:59change this and
00:35:00see how it looks we'll just click remove featured image click set featured image now
00:35:05and i'll pick out a image there that looks a bit different so we'll go with this girl here again
00:35:11let's click uh set image so that's after setting the feature so this page is quite long so you can
00:35:18see if i scroll down through it it has all the because i duplicated it it has all the previous
00:35:23images
00:35:23from the wedding ones so so if i want to change any of these i can so what i'll do
00:35:29i might change a few of
00:35:30them okay so what i'll do so if i hover over it you get an idea i can remove this
00:35:36if i want
00:35:37i'll click add widget and we'll put in this girl here and you there's a content type so you've got
00:35:44um
00:35:46single image half width so i imagine leave the content uh type the same so single image half width
00:35:53um there so we can update this one now as well pick out another image go with this one i'll

00:36:05that one the way it is so if i want to remove a few of these images if i want
00:36:08so you can see over here
00:36:09on the the uh right hand side you've got you've got this minus here so it says remove row so

00:36:15remove that if i want so i can that removes it all together so i can remove this one as

00:36:20if i want to add in one you can see up near when i hover when i'm hovering over here

00:36:25plus up here so i can add a row if i want so it gives me a blank row there

00:36:29uh add in a brand new image if you want so we'll just click on that one and we'll remove
00:36:36a few more
00:36:43and we'll leave that one the way it is and we'll remove this one we'll add
00:36:50to go with the coins for this one

00:37:01i've added all the images i wanted to my gallery so it's uh liam's gallery uh you can see it

00:37:06so we'll just click publish
00:37:12we'll go to galleries now and you can see the now there's four available galleries of uh
00:37:17uh in the back end so these are all preset so if we go back now to the galleries page
00:37:21we'll just
00:37:22refresh we'll see if it added in my one so it did yeah so it added it in automatically so
00:37:27it's after
00:37:28adding liam's gallery there so if i click uh click on it here it'll bring me into my gallery page
00:37:33so
00:37:34it just uh it you can see it's using the featured image for the top bit and you can see
00:37:39these are all
00:37:39the images i added in um on the site so you can see there's a few wedding ones that i
00:37:44left in there
00:37:44so that's how you'd create your own um gallery there guys so if i click on uh these images it'll
00:37:51give me a preview of it as well so what i'll do now we'll just click we'll uh go back
00:37:57to the gallery
00:37:58page now we'll just click edit page we'll see if there's any options in here it will scroll down so
00:38:06this is just yeah you you don't have to do anything in here so we'll just go back now so
00:38:10um to edit any
00:38:11of the galleries yourself you'll have to do it in the back end so yeah over here in the galleries
00:38:16module and once you create a gallery it'll be added to the added to the gallery page there so you
00:38:22can see
00:38:22Liam's gallery got added in first there so what i'll do i'll just uh change this to um draft now
00:38:29so
00:38:29it's removed and we'll come back to the gallery page and we'll refresh it there i have a question
00:38:37can we reorder the categories gallery or it just has to based on the date that you add um yeah

00:39:25will make this one older so i'm going to change it to april um and we'll just click update now
00:39:31and
00:39:31we'll just see if that meta changed out there so you might you you should be able to update it

00:39:37are we on the gallery page again so you can see here's a the events uh here's weddings here's room
00:39:47gallery and here's my one here at the bottom so you can in fact actually um reorder them so if
00:39:53you just go
00:39:53to so you might want to take note of that one so if they're displayed um by their dates so
00:39:59you can
00:39:59click quick edit and you can change the date here so you can see i changed it back to um
00:40:05april um to
00:40:08to change the order right there
00:40:11so you can see uh this one was uh posted in may so i i made uh liens gallery um
00:40:17pre-date that and so now
00:40:19that appears last because it displays an order of the date that it's um that's shown inside here so
00:40:26if we could cancel what is the password or the private options uh sorry what are the password and
00:40:35private options underneath date i think it's not something we use but you could maybe set a password
00:40:42on it so that only you can edit this one so i could go one two three uh or mark
00:40:47it as private
00:40:48or something like that it's not something we use uh it's just uh it's in there um so so if
00:40:53it maybe um
00:40:55one of you were working at something and you just wanted a password on it you didn't want somebody else
00:40:58editing it or something like that um i think that's what that would do there so it's not something you
00:41:04would really use on the site so what i'm going to do i'm going to put this back to draft
00:41:07now so it's not
00:41:08showing on the site but um and what i'll do i'll actually trash it as well
00:41:18trash it again as well okay so that's the event so uh that's the gallery guys is that okay yeah

00:42:05well uh so it's not as cluttered here either okay perfect okay so what you might be able to do

00:42:12future if you if you like you can just uh click um edit you you can change the dates on
00:42:20it uh you can
00:42:21just update these ones then um by by changing the date maybe you can change this to september 2nd or
00:42:28something like that and using the trick we learned there a minute ago you can reorder them using the
00:42:33quick edit then okay yeah yeah so but it still might be easier to uh just add new ones as
00:42:41well um
00:42:43depending because there's so many of them they're trying to get them in the right order might be a bit
00:42:47tricky okay yeah maybe we just um that fresh everything yes wait yeah so what what you could
00:42:59do as well if you want if you wanted to get a head start on it it's a the we'll

00:43:05do september's uh events um now because you probably know what they are already so if you click add event
00:43:13to do we'll click add event and we'll just say ms
00:43:21training and we'll just scroll down to the bottom here so if you remember you put in the
00:43:25the date down here so i think it's in the format uh we'll go and say the 23rd september at
00:43:35at eight or something like that uh okay so that's how you'd create it there but you can also if
00:43:40you
00:43:40scroll up here you can see there's um uh there's a this publish immediately here so you can click
00:43:46edit and you can actually choose the date so you could um create this in advance you could change it
00:43:53to september and put it to the first uh so that uh when september 1st comes all of these go
00:43:59live on the
00:44:00site okay perfect that's really so if we kick if i click publish now publish now actually i might
00:44:09change the time as well so you can see the first so it's going at three o'clock so i
00:44:13might just change
00:44:14that to zero zero zero zero we'll just click update
00:44:18okay so you can see it's scheduled for september 1st 2018 at 12 o'clock so if we go back
00:44:28to events now
00:44:31so it should be at the bottom i think so you can see this is scheduled to go live on

00:44:36september so you could actually in advance create all the september months and then set them so they'll go
00:44:42live but i'd imagine you'd have to you'd have to set all these to draft all the august ones to

00:44:49then after that okay um i have a question yep um seem like each artist has their own box but

00:46:32can click add a new one so you could just click add new and then you could just um uh
00:46:37select files from
00:46:38your folder so i can click here so if i go to my desktop i have a demo folder here
00:46:45and what we'll
00:46:47do we'll just put in this one here so we'll pick out this image here also i could just click
00:46:51and
00:46:51highlight and add a load of one so we could click this here we'll just click open
00:46:58and you can see that image uh it gets loaded down here so now that's loaded in there as well
00:47:03so what i'll do i'll just click on that what we'll do i'll just delete this as well and we'll
00:47:09i'll
00:47:09just show you all the different ways of uploading images so one through that so we'll click add new
00:47:15again so you can also click and uh drag and drop so i'm just going to drag and drop so
00:47:20you can you can
00:47:21see i i just grabbed the image there i'm going to click and drag and it drops in and that
00:47:26image gets
00:47:27uploaded as well there so you can see it um that's the way it gets out of there so you
00:47:32don't actually
00:47:32have to add click add new either so i'll show you that as well so um so say we just
00:47:40clicked on
00:47:40we'll go back to pages and i'll come back into the media library now we'll just click media library
00:47:48what we'll do we'll just click and drag you see it just lets you drop it in there automatically so
00:47:52you can see that image gets added in there as well so if you have any pdfs as well that
00:47:59you need on the
00:47:59site you can just um click and drag it in as well so you can see i have a pdf
00:48:04here i can click it and
00:48:05it gets uploaded to the site to the media library there so you can see that's it there okay so
00:48:12um say
00:48:12i want to put a link on a page to my pdf so what i'll do i'll show you that
00:48:17now i'll just close off a
00:48:19couple of tabs tabs guys okay so what we'll do we'll open up uh the pages in the new tab
00:48:29while we still have the media library open so you'll find the the uh the pdf you want to link
00:48:35on the
00:48:36site first so and then we'll go to the pages one and say we're going to look for my cms
00:48:40training page
00:48:41we're going to um view it and what we want to do we want to add in a link here
00:48:48to the pdf
00:48:50in this module here so we'll click edit page
00:48:54and we will scroll down you can see this is it here so uh what i'll do i'll just hit
00:49:00enter and
00:49:00i'm going to type in pdf and we're going to highlight this and we're going to click on the link
00:49:06you can see it gives me an option to copy and paste this what we're going to do we're going
00:49:09to back
00:49:09go back to the media library and you can see i i've clicked on the pdf i want so if
00:49:14i click it
00:49:14again it'll bring me up this pop-up so it gives me the attachment details so it gives me the
00:49:18file name
00:49:19so you can see it's called photography tips dot pdf you can see the data was uploaded and you can
00:49:24see
00:49:24the file size so it's one meg you can you can give it you can add in a bit of
00:49:29description if you like
00:49:29you don't have to um but you can see here under url you can see it's got for gary it's
00:49:34that's the url you
00:49:35need to copy so if i just highlight all that and i right click click copy now if we come
00:49:41back to the
00:49:42site and we paste it into this box paste it in there uh it will go to that pdf now
00:49:49so uh also
00:49:50what we'd recommend if you click on link options if you're linking to a pdf uh always open it in
00:49:55a new
00:49:56tab so you're not taking the user away from uh your site uh so it opens in a new tab
00:50:01so just click update
00:50:02there and we're going to click update again so uh we'll go uh view page now
00:50:17we'll scroll down and you can see now this um this module has a link to a pdf and when
00:50:23i click it
00:50:23it opens a new tab automatically so it's after opening sorry guys it's after opening up the pdf in a
00:50:32new tab
00:50:32so you can view the the pdf uh but then you've all the user still has is on your site
00:50:37on the other
00:50:38tab so you don't want them clicking on it and going to the pdf um taking the user off your
00:50:44site um so
00:50:46that's uh best practice there for pdfs on the site okay so is that okay guys so for linking to
00:50:52a pdf
00:50:55yeah okay good so uh what we'll do now we'll just go back here and we'll close this down
00:51:01okay so this is the image i'm after uploading here so this is it here um you can see uh
00:51:07you can see the attachment details here and you can see it's called test.jpg uh you can see what
00:51:13date it's uploaded you can see the file size of it as well you can see the dimensions so what's
00:51:18best
00:51:18is um if if the the image itself is above 1920 by 1080 so it works on the site uh
00:51:25so what what you can do
00:51:26and then you can click um edit image here and what you can do uh you move your mouse over
00:51:33the image
00:51:33here on the left hand side so you have to do this for um the images you upload to the
00:51:37site you just
00:51:38need to make them the correct size so what you want to do you just want to click and drag
00:51:42and you can
00:51:42this will let you crop it so once you have that there um you can you once you have it
00:51:48clicked and
00:51:48dragged you can come over here you can see the size that it is right now so what what you'll
00:51:52have to do you'll
00:51:52have to change it to 1920 by 1080 so by 1080 so you can see that's that's uh the ideal
00:52:00size for the
00:52:01image there so uh so that's the image there so you can move it around and pick the best part
00:52:06of the image
00:52:07there and what we're going to do now we're just going to click this icon here to crop it so
00:52:11you can
00:52:11see the crop tool here and we're just going to click save okay so it's best to have your images
00:52:22the
00:52:221920 by 1080 when you're adding up to the site or um that size so you don't want the image
00:52:29too small
00:52:30because uh if the image is say 600 by 300 it won't work because it won't work on the image
00:52:37on the hero
00:52:37image here so you can see this image is way too big and it will get um pixelated so what's
00:52:42best is to
00:52:43have them all above 1920 by 1080 um so i'm i'm not too sure now so probably what's best is
00:53:04to put up
00:53:04your your high res ones and then you can crop them here okay uh but so long as they're above
00:53:11uh the
00:53:11site that size there that it will work throughout the site okay okay cool uh and i guess uh for
00:53:19the
00:53:19website uh horizontal images will be with vertical like i should upload horizontal or can i upload
00:53:28vertical too because i saw that like you guys use most of images in horizontal not vertical uh yeah so
00:53:37the arm the most of our sites work best with uh horizontal images landscape ones like that um so
00:53:43portrait ones wouldn't really work as well so it's best to get your photographer to uh take pictures
00:53:49in landscape and just uh show a lot of the image there so if we go to our cms training
00:53:55page few and what
00:53:58we'll do what we might do we might um change around a few of the images and we'll just see
00:54:02how the image
00:54:02looks in uh the image i just uploaded we'll add it to this image here maybe we'll see how it
00:54:07looks
00:54:07and we'll put it as a background image and you can see how it scales and changes sides sizes so
00:54:14if we
00:54:15click edit page and we'll scroll down you can see one of these images so if we click add gallery
00:54:23you can
00:54:24see it shows the most recent so it's got the photography tips there pdf and it's got uh this image
00:54:29here so i'll make sure to delete this image before we finish up because it's obviously not of your
00:54:33hotel it's just um one i was using as an example so we'll just click select you can see that
00:54:39image
00:54:39gets added in there so i'll just move that first and what we'll do we'll scroll down now again we'll
00:54:43find another module that's using the image we'll add it in here now again we'll just see how it looks
00:54:49how it resizes throughout the site with all the different modules so i'll remove this one as well we
00:54:55click add this one in here again so that our image goes in there i will leave that one alone
00:55:02we'll scroll down now and what we'll do this which one is this this is the text row so we'll
00:55:09add it in again
00:55:15uh we'll scroll down so we'll remove this gm1 as well and we'll click add image
00:55:21add in the new image there we can see it goes in there and while we just click
00:55:26up on one of the column ones we'll change the oh it's the same one the same model that's the
00:55:33column one as well sorry guys so we'll just click update now we'll just see how how much uh how
00:55:38that image adapts on the cms training page click uh view page there scroll down so you can see that's
00:55:56the image i uploaded there so it's after um it it fits in perfectly it looks fine in that you've
00:56:02been
00:56:02using that spot there on the site so uh we'll scroll down now again we'll look at it again so
00:56:07that's the
00:56:07the same module there but you can see again uh we used it for the wonderful days uh module here's
00:56:14the weddings one i think it was and you can see the image adapts well so once it's 1920 by
00:56:19um 1080
00:56:20um the the image will adapt and look fine on the site so you can see it's there again so
00:56:24we've seen
00:56:25that a couple of times you can see it's inside in this um column as well the two column module
00:56:29there
00:56:30so there it is there so okay so i think that's all the changes we made there guys so you
00:56:36can see
00:56:36how the how it resizes depending on the module that's been used on on the site and it still looks
00:56:42fine okay so everything so if we go back to the media library now i just want to make sure
00:56:50i touch
00:56:50on everything here in the media layer so you've got a search media item so you can filter out and
00:56:56look
00:56:56for a certain image if you have a if you know the name so if we click on the image
00:57:00i just added so you
00:57:01can see it's called it's got a title called test so it's probably not really suitable so what we'd
00:57:07recommend is before you upload them is to give them a um a recognizable name so maybe this is your
00:57:15your king room um suite or something like that so you're able to find it later on so i've changed
00:57:23the
00:57:23title there in it but it might be best to um to uh rename the file king room suite before
00:57:31you upload it
00:57:31uh so you don't have to rename it in here so what's the difference between caption and title
00:57:38uh well uh title would be i think um so if i exit that we open it up again so
00:57:45uh the title is based on
00:57:46the name that the file has uh so so it was called test when i upload it so if i
00:57:52show it to you in the
00:57:53folder so you can see it was called test before i uploaded it so originally it was called test so
00:57:59title is based on the name of the the the image so um but uh caption would be maybe just
00:58:05a description
00:58:06or something or something something like that it's not really relevant um on the site um you unless
00:58:14unless the module is using it but like it i don't think it's being used so you don't have to
00:58:18worry
00:58:18about caption or description there so if i click out of it there so that is um everything there
00:58:25uploaded by you can see who uploaded images there so you can see design editor so that's that's the
00:58:30account i'm logged in with so design editor so after the after i after the training i'll set you up
00:58:37with logins um i assume just for the two years yeah so i'll set you both up with logins afterwards
00:58:47and um you your names will appear up there so it will say how so howdy ann or hi howdy
00:58:54jane up there
00:58:54so that would be your login so you can see who uploaded who uploads um stuff uh so you can
00:58:59see that was
00:59:00uploaded by me at some time so um uploaded oh that's everything there uh so you can you can sort
00:59:08them
00:59:08actually by date so you can choose uh you can check oh i want to see what images was uploaded
00:59:14in july so
00:59:15you can see all these images got added in july uh you can change the type so you can uh
00:59:21filter it out
00:59:22so it's mostly just images so it wouldn't really apply to it uh so what we'll do we'll change it
00:59:28back to all
00:59:28it you can also change it to a list view so it's probably if you like so there's um a
00:59:35little bit
00:59:36more detail you but it's probably best to keep it entirely for you so you can so you can see
00:59:41all the
00:59:42details on the images there so uh but that's all the images there guys so you can scroll down you
00:59:50can
00:59:50have a look through all the images on the site um so these are all the ones available here uh
00:59:56you can
00:59:56click on any on any of them and find out the name of them if you like um i think
01:00:02that's it guys uh
01:00:04so have you any questions guys uh i think i've gone through nearly everything on the site now um
01:00:20uh if you accidentally delete a photo okay so what i'll do i'll just click um let's just click delete
01:00:29see there's only uh if you if you there's only one way to delete an image so if i click
01:00:34on it there it
01:00:34says delete permanently so uh like once you click delete it it's gone okay so what i'll do now i'll
01:00:42just click delete permanently and it does give you a warning you and it says you're about to delete this
01:00:46item from your site this action cannot be undone cancel to stop uh click okay to delete so it will
01:00:53warn you so uh i'll just click okay because you don't actually want it on site so now that's removed
01:00:59so
01:00:59i'll delete this one as well so it's giving me more of a warning so now it's back to normal
01:01:03um but
01:01:04what we'll check now we'll go back to the site and we'll go to the cms training page so if
01:01:08you remember
01:01:09we added in all the the image to all these pages so what i'm going to do i'm just going
01:01:12to do a hard
01:01:13refresh and see what would happen if you deleted an image from the site so it reloads there reloading
01:01:22and you can see it's after kindly it's after going back reverting back to what was there previously
01:01:30uh wonderful days seem to be showing a blank um so that that image so that that one didn't
01:01:36recover but the the these ones here is after reverting so if you scroll down
01:01:41uh the gym one so if an image gets deleted it will just show a blank background like that so
01:01:48so you'll know so um so if you're back back to the media library so you just uh you just
01:01:53need to be
01:01:53careful um uh but it will give you plenty warning um before before you delete the image is that okay
01:02:00guys okay cool uh i'm i think we that's every we've covered everything now guys uh i'm sure once you're
01:02:09in it and you'll have loads of questions but i'll send you on the the two training videos and like
01:02:14if
01:02:14you get stuck you can always just send us an email and we can help you out as well okay
