"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."
- Deuteronomy 31:6
Learned about Olympic Champion Javelin thrower Seppo Raty of Finland doing these with 100kg/220lb years ago and being a former Javelin thrower myself, l had to give them a try. I worked up to 50kg/110lb and IMMEDIATE fell in luv with how it stretched out the shoulders, elbows & knees. Today, l worked up to 43½lb(19¾kg) on a Gympak 7' threaded standard bar & @york_barbell_official 12 ½ lb plates. This showed me just how much my elbows needed to be realigned. Afterwards, my Biceps & Triceps felt ready for a full blown workout. Do l recommend these for EVERYONE?? YEP. Start with a broomstick(NOT A BAND!) and learn the groove. You don't have to do them as heavy as Seppo, but l'd recommend pushing yerself after you feel confident with the movement. God Bless.
