00:00Well, I know I'm not cutting to a commercial, but hey, hey, hey, don't go away!
00:03Here's your look at the brand new Trick-or-Treat Studios Bozo the Clown figure!
00:20Step right up, Bozo's back, and he's ready to bring the big top straight to your shelf!
00:23Trick-or-Treat Studios is proud to present the officially licensed Bozo the Clown 5-inch figure,
00:27which captures the classic TV icon in his all-colorful glory, from his unmistakable grin to his circus-ready get
00:32-up.
00:33Whether you're recreating vintage TV moments or adding the true pop culture legend to your collection,
00:37Bozo is ready to steal the spotlight.
00:39I'm all one for clowning around from time to time, so this will be right up my alley.
00:43Before that, we get a closer look at Bozo the Clown.
00:45Let me first thank the folks over at Trick-or-Treat Studios that did provide this sample.
00:49Good news, this guy's right now has a pre-order over on their site for $29.99.
00:54He's going to come with some fun things.
00:56We're going to be looking at those fun things in a second.
00:58First things, though, first, let's also grab the tape measure and see how tall Bozo's going to be.
01:02If I'm looking at this correctly, I think I am,
01:06you're looking, though, at the figure of Bozo being 5 inches in height.
01:09That, of course, is going right to the top of his hair.
01:11That's going to work out to be a figure that's 12 centimeters tall.
01:14Hey, everybody loves a clown, so why don't you?
01:16Well, I guess certain clowns are better than others.
01:18Just to bring in other examples that we've also gotten from the folks over at Trick-or-Treat Studios,
01:21on the left side we've got Art the Clown,
01:23on the right we've got Captain Spaulding.
01:25Plenty of silliness sprinkled around,
01:27but before we actually look at the things that come in clear with Bozo the Clown,
01:30I did actually want to bring your attention to the packaging that also comes in clear with the figure.
01:33I love this.
01:34You know what actually it kind of reminds me of?
01:36Were you going to say Bozo the Clown?
01:37Well, I was probably going to say Bozo the Clown,
01:39but it also reminds me of the intermission that you see at a drive-in theater.
01:43Let's all go to the lobby, get ourselves some snacks.
01:45Those kids on the sides.
01:47And this side, too.
01:47Look like they would be all ones to get delicious treats in between the next movie.
01:51On the back, though, of the packaging, you also see as well,
01:54there's Bozo the Clown with not the most ferocious of tigers.
01:58I don't know whether they'd be able to make it through that loop or not,
02:00but that's pretty fun packaging nonetheless.
02:03For that little tiny tiger, I mean, I don't know if it would necessarily be a tiger,
02:06but he's adorable, though.
02:07This tiny little kitten has a nice little clown hat there on the top.
02:11Can't be removable.
02:12There's no posability at all to this.
02:15But this thing's an adorable thing.
02:16If I was to be a lion tamer and I looked over and realized that that's the kind of lion
02:20that I would have to tame, sign me up.
02:23I think since then, though, I don't think circuses really allow animals being in the circus premises.
02:28I think that's a good idea, too.
02:29Keep it more for the athletes, the ones that are good at juggling things and jumping through fire.
02:33Let's not leave it, though, to the animals to do all that stuff.
02:36It's probably going to be scary for them.
02:37Detail-wise, though, for this tiny little cat.
02:40Like I said, he's adorable.
02:41Now, he does actually come and clue with a little perch here,
02:43so he can actually take the cat and put him on top of the perch.
02:46Now, I don't know if that means he's going to be getting ready to leap or not,
02:49but if he does decide he wants to leap,
02:53there's a little hula hoop.
02:54So, of course, or it would just be a circus ring.
02:56I guess it looks more so like a hula hoop.
02:58And, of course, Bozum's guess is instructing for the cat to leap through that.
03:02Whether he succeeds or not, I mean, at least the size of the loop is big enough
03:05that even with the party hat on top of the head,
03:08I think the cat would still be able to clear the loop.
03:11This does fit into the hand of Bozum the Clown.
03:13He actually only has one gripping hand.
03:15The other hand is more relaxed.
03:17So we can go ahead, just take the loop here.
03:20Now, one issue I did actually find, though, with Bozum the Clown
03:22is that some of the accessories that he's going to wield,
03:24he has these white gloves,
03:26and some of the paint actually has found its way onto the fingers here.
03:29And I don't know if that's come from actually the hula hoop
03:32or if it's actually come from his clown horn.
03:34We're going to take carefully, though, the hula hoop and fit it inside.
03:38Oops, hit it inside his hand.
03:39And let's not drop, though, the figure in the meantime.
03:42The hands, by the way, just attach onto the pegs here.
03:44It doesn't necessarily give him any more posability.
03:47It just means, though, that's just how they're attached to place.
03:50So if you find that that just happens to pop off,
03:52as you can see, it just plugs back successfully onto the peg.
03:56And from there, we'll go ahead and just get this all lined up.
04:01Now, I don't know what training this cat has actually had.
04:05Would he leap through the loop?
04:06I'm willing to think he wouldn't.
04:08He probably would look at it for a while, start cleaning himself,
04:10or he just would hop off and wander off to get himself some food.
04:14Poor Bozo the Clown.
04:16Let's go ahead and actually take the loop.
04:18There goes the hand again.
04:19We'll just take the loop off.
04:19We'll pop the hand back in place.
04:23It might have just also been the case that maybe there was a little bit of glue
04:25that wasn't strong enough to hold that back in place.
04:27But, I mean, you know, again, it's just a case.
04:29You have to kind of line up the holes,
04:31or line up the shape of the peg, making sure it's going the right way.
04:35There we go.
04:36Other accessories, though, that come include with Bozo the Clown,
04:38you get yourself a little clown horn.
04:40Now, the way, though, it's kind of contoured makes me think, though,
04:43that it would be able to fit inside its hand.
04:45I would probably suggest, though, heating the hand maybe in hot water.
04:48And this may have also been the thing that caused the red to be left behind on the fingers.
04:53Because it seems almost like the end of the horn is too large to actually fit inside the grip.
04:58Unless, again, you went in there with a little bit of hot water and heated it up.
05:02One other accessory, though, that comes included with Bozo the Clown.
05:06Now, if this was a killer clown, I would say just avoid the cream pie altogether.
05:10But I think that that's probably just harmless whipped cream.
05:14I've never honestly, and I'll admit this to everybody,
05:16and maybe that's probably not a good idea,
05:17I've never had a pie smashed in my face.
05:20Because I'm kind of now looking around to make sure that nobody's got a pie in their hand.
05:24No? No, I think I'm okay.
05:25Have you ever had a pie smashed in or around your face area?
05:30Let me know down below in the comments section.
05:32Now, there is no way, unfortunately, that he can hold said pie.
05:36With this hand being flat like this and the other hand gripping,
05:39I mean, there's no way that it's going to fit in this hand.
05:41And it's really no way that it's going to fit in this hand.
05:43Now, had the hand swiveled, which it doesn't,
05:47maybe I would have said that you could have actually just balanced the pie onto his hand
05:51with only the suspected idea that he's probably going to be whipping it at somebody.
05:55But there is no way that I can see, at least, that it can attach the pie into his hand.
05:59So, you're a bit out of luck for that.
06:01I like the accessories, though.
06:03Even though, really, the only one that successfully holds in his hand the best
06:06is probably, I would say, is the little hula hoop here.
06:09Detail-wise, though, let's move everything out of the way
06:11and get a closer look at Bozo the Clown.
06:14Bozo is kind of a little out of my age bracket.
06:17I will admit, though, there were times that maybe I'd flipped on reruns of Bozo the Clown.
06:21But for me, as a Canadian, I was probably more into Romper Room.
06:24Anybody remember Romper Room and Friends?
06:27Was it Romper, Bump, or Stomp, or Do?
06:29She would look inside the mirror and she would list the kids' names that are all watching the show.
06:33I kept saying, come on, say my name, say my name.
06:36And I don't think there was ever a time she actually said my name.
06:38So, anyways, while maybe I didn't grow up watching Bozo the Clown,
06:43or, like, what was another one?
06:45Captain Kangaroo.
06:45Captain Kangaroo, I think I actually watched a lot more times than Bozo the Clown.
06:49I have seen, though, the occasional episode of it.
06:51And, like I said, it would have been more in reruns.
06:54For getting it more kind of a cartoon look to Bozo,
06:57I think he's actually a fun-looking figure.
06:59He's limited, though, on posability.
07:01Stands to reason, though, that generally figures like this are only going to have five points.
07:04So, of course, you've got your standard head,
07:06you've got your standard shoulders,
07:07and you've got your swivels in your legs.
07:09It's funny, though, also, that they put pegels in the bottoms of Bozo's feet.
07:13The figure doesn't come in clue what the display stand in.
07:15I guess, really, it doesn't necessarily need it either.
07:17But I think one thing it does do very well is the coloring.
07:21It's vibrant.
07:22He pops on a shelf, if you like Bozo or not.
07:26Nice little attention to the also detail that they added
07:28is they stitched in Bozo on his gloves,
07:31which I guess would be the way that he would have had it in the series.
07:33Nice, large pom-poms there on the front of his chest.
07:35It's funny, though, that this pom-pom isn't as big as the one down below here.
07:40I don't know why that...
07:41Maybe that was the way he had his costume.
07:42I like also that they've sculpted in some wrinkles there.
07:45The color's, again, vibrant on the frills down below for his pants.
07:48And, of course, he has a nice big frill there around his neck area as well.
07:51It's just a really neat-looking figure.
07:54Again, the only one issue I would have said is outside of not having a secondary gripping hand,
07:59which would then really make things a lot easier when it comes to him holding more than one accessory.
08:02Because, again, the one that closest resembles anything that Bozo would be able to really carry
08:07would really be, again, the ring.
08:09The pie, if, again, had it only been the case that the hand could have turned,
08:13if the hand had turned, then, believably enough, I could understand that he'd be able to hold the pie.
08:19Side-holding pies would only really involve...
08:21would only then result, really, in the whipped cream sliding right off.
08:25Unless you'd have really solid whipped cream.
08:27And maybe that's not the kind of cream you want to be eating anyways.
08:29But, no, there's no real way that that can fit inside his hands.
08:33And, again, he's also got the little horn.
08:37Which I would imagine could fit, really, in his hand.
08:39But I would imagine you probably should really heat this up first in hot water.
08:43Or maybe even do the hair dryer.
08:45Unfortunately, again, it kind of looks like he's also been eating nacho Doritos.
08:48So, I'm thinking more of the pain has probably come off the horn and less the ring.
08:52As you can see, a lot of it now is actually on his fingers and his thumb.
08:56For Bozo's articulation.
08:58His head, I would say, would be on a peg, allowing him to rotate all the way around.
09:02And yet, though, I mean, it gets to a point, clearly, where you know it can't go any further.
09:05It hits this point here on the collar piece.
09:08It also hits this point here, too.
09:10I wouldn't also push the matter, either.
09:12Because I would think that that would probably start to scrape the paint on the top of the clown collar.
09:16The arms, again, rotate forward and back.
09:18Sort of the same thing that hindered the head also hinders the shoulders.
09:22There's only so far, really, that you can move the arms forward and back.
09:25You wouldn't really be able to do a full rotation.
09:28Legs, though, swivel forward and back as well.
09:30I mean, just look at the size of these clown feet.
09:32Some people would have realistic-sized feet like this.
09:35I mean, if you're like Sideshow Bob.
09:37Sideshow Bob would have about the same size feet as he would have the same size clown shoes.
09:41I don't know, though.
09:42I have a feeling to believe that I don't think Bozo's feet are about the same size of these clown
09:46shoes.
09:46I think there's some exaggerations that have been made.
09:49Speaking of exaggerations, though.
09:50I mean, certainly they've exaggerated the look of the character to kind of give us more of the look of
09:54Bozo the Clown from a cartoon.
09:56Of course, bringing in his tiny little cartoon kitty.
09:58I really like this figure a lot.
10:00But I feel like this would also be a figure that would also really benefit, too, from keeping him inside
10:04of his plastic prison.
10:06Just because, again, it's got some really fun kind of retro look to the packaging.
10:10With all these kids looking, I'm sure, to go to the concession stands to pick up some popcorn, pick up
10:13some treats.
10:15Let's all go to the movies.
10:16You don't have to necessarily go to the movies to get this one for yourself.
10:18In fact, actually, right now, it's pre-ordered on Trick or Treat Studios' website.
10:23Certainly, I can provide the links down below in the comments section or description down below if you are somebody
10:28that grew up with Bozo the Clown or just really like the look of the figure.
10:31Like I said, right now, he's a pre-order over on Trick or Treat Studios' site.
10:35All this talk about pre-orders.
10:36Are you actually going to give us the date?
10:38Well, there really isn't a date.
10:39It's listed right now on their site as this product is unavailable.
10:43But it does say back-order, pre-order items shipped when inventory arrives.
10:47So there hasn't really been a set-aside date as to when this guy's going to be dropping.
10:51I would certainly, though, recommend, and this is something that you guys can do,
10:54if you go to their site and there's anything at all, that is Bozo or otherwise, that you guys are
10:59interested in,
10:59you can select the option Notify Me When Available.
11:02So when does Bozo's box drop?
11:04They'll shoot you an email and let you guys know.
11:06And then you can order this guy for $29.99.
11:10Fun-looking figure, though.
11:11I mean, Bozo may not be for everybody.
11:14I mean, again, I didn't really so much grow up with Bozo the Clown,
11:17but I do really like the look of the figure.
11:19He's got this vintage look to him that I find really appealing.
11:23I'm sure it has nothing at all to do with the fact he's got a cute little kitty as well,
11:26which I know.
11:26I mean, I own a cat myself.
11:27I actually own a couple of cats.
11:29There's no way at all that cat is going to voluntarily leap through that ring.
11:34You could try to pretend.
11:36You could pick up the cat and kind of force him through the hoop.
11:38But even then, the cat's just going to stick out his claws and he's going to move away.
11:42I mean, I guess you're probably, like, bribing him with some treats.
11:45I've done that from time to time.
11:46Come over here, little kitty.
11:47Kitty never really comes.
11:49He just kind of looks at me like, what do you want?
11:50And then I just shake the couple of treats.
11:52I mean, I know, though, like, that's forced love.
11:55The cat otherwise wouldn't have come over to see me other than just shaking the treats.
11:58You don't have to necessarily shake some treats.
12:00Like I said, if you want to get the cat, the cat's going to be included with Bozo anyways.
12:04A big thank you to the folks over at Trick or Treat Studios that, again, provided the sample.
12:08Today, we were having a look at the Bozo the Clown Bozo 5-inch figure.
12:12Did you guys ever grow up with Bozo the Clown?
12:15If you didn't, though, what was a kid cartoon or kid series that you grew up watching where there was,
12:21like, a host?
12:23Someone that would introduce, probably even have a kid audience there.
12:26What would be, like, a kid show that had a kid host?
12:28Let me know.
12:29Not a host that was a kid, but you know what I mean.
12:31For me, again, it was Romper Room.
12:33I also remember, like, Captain Kangaroo.
12:35Although Captain Kangaroo was a little bit more in the U.S.,
12:37I think for me, it was, like, more, again, Romper Room in France.
12:40She never once said my name.
12:44If you guys are interested and certainly would like to stick around for more,
12:47first, if you enjoyed this video, you can do it a song, throw it a like.
12:49But if you do want to stick around for more, more content, of course, is always coming your way,
12:53make sure that you hit the subscribe, you turn on the bell, you come back.
12:56I might even say your name.
12:58Not necessarily through a magic mirror.
12:59Magic mirror on the wall.
13:00No, no, that's Snow White.
13:03That's not Romper Room.
13:04Romper Room was Romper, Bomper, Stomper, Do.
13:06Tell me, tell me, tell me, do.
13:07Does anybody really care?
13:08Nobody really cares.
13:09As always, guys, thanks for watching.
13:11See you guys next time.
