The West Indies beat Sri Lanka in the first T20 International in Jamaica by seven wickets to lead the three-match series 1-0.

The Sri Lankans made 147 for 9, with Kamindu Mendis hitting 51, while Jason Holder and Shamar Joseph took three wickets each.

In reply, the men in maroon reached 149 for 3 in 19.2 overs, with skipper Shai Hope unbeaten on 65.

00:01This was the opening T20 international with Sri Lanka choosing to bat against the West Indies at Sabina Park.
00:07The opening partnership was worth 43 in 4.2 overs.
00:16But Jason Holder was on fire with ball in hand.
00:22And so too was Shamar Joseph whose wickets included Kusal Mendes for 36.
00:29Kamindu Mendes was Sri Lanka's best batter with 51.
00:35Holder and Joseph both ended with three wickets apiece.
