Not good news for the men in maroon.

This as the West Indies surrendered the three-match T20 series 2-1 to Sri Lanka after losing the decider in Dambulla.

The Windies made 162 for 8, with 37 from captain Rovman Powell.

In reply, Sri Lanka got to 166 for 1 in 18 overs, with Kusal Mendis hitting 68 not out.

00:04final T20 match which was the decider in Dambulla. Evan Lewis was bowled by
00:08Maish Teekshana for a Golden Duck. Brandon King and Shehu put on a
00:12partnership of 37 for the second wicket. King was also castled by
00:19Teekshana after getting 23. It was tough out in the middle and the West Indies
00:23were soon 62 for 5. Captain Ravman Powell and Gudakesh Moti had to come to
00:28their team's rescue. They put on a partnership that was worth 54 runs for
00:35the sixth wicket. Moti made 32 while Powell top-scored with 37.
00:44Vanindu Hasaranga picked up two wickets. The West Indies eventually
00:49closed on 162 for 8. When Sri Lanka responded,
00:53Patum Nisankar started off aggressively. Nisankar and Kausal Mendis put on an
01:01opening partnership of 60 in 5.2 overs. Nisankar was bowled by Moti for 39.
01:08But Mendis and the other Kausal, Kausal Perera would continue to frustrate the
01:12Windies bowlers. The two put on an unbroken stand with 106 for the second
01:19wicket. Perera smashed the winning runs in style to be unbeaten on 55 while
01:25Mendis made 68 not out. Sri Lanka got to 166 for 1 in 18 overs to win by 9
01:31wickets and they clinched the series to 1.
