West Indian Masters suffered their first loss at the International Master League T20.

After wins over Australia and England, the Caribbean men fell to a 21 run defeat on Thursday against the Sri Lanka masters.

Sri Lanka posted 173 for 9 before restricting the West Indies to 152 for 5 off their 20 overs.

00:00The Sri Lankan Masters took full strike and like the West Indies were looking to remain
00:05unbeaten.
00:06But the West Indies Masters bowlers made early inroads snapping up wickets with 47 runs on
00:11the board.
00:12However, Kumar Sangakkara and Asela Gunaratne would look to repair the innings.
00:19They would share an even stand of 50 runs before Sangakkara departed on 47.
00:27The Sri Lankans would kill some of their momentum with a couple run outs while Ashley Nurse
00:37and Tina Best combined for 5 wickets.
00:40But Sri Lanka would close on 173 for 9 off the back of a top score of 63 from Gunaratne.
00:47The West Indies Masters run chase would start with an early setback as well with a wicket
00:52of Chadwick Walton on 13.
00:55Dwayne Smith with 49 and Narsingh Deonarine 14 would spark the chase with a 59 run partnership.
01:02But a double blow would put a spook in the Caribbean men's wheel at 74 for 3.
01:08Lendl Simmons would raise his hand as he made 37 of 31 balls.
01:14However Sri Lanka would continue to strike getting the bage and pay of Jonathan Carter
01:18and Ashley Nurse.
01:20Dinesh Ramdin would chip in with 15 runs but the West Indies Masters ran out of steam and
01:25overs falling 21 runs short at 152 for 5.
