Not a good start to the abridged version of the game for the Caribbean side...

But it is what it is.

This as the West Indies lost the first T20 International to Bangladesh last evening in St. Vincent by seven runs.

The Tigers made 147 for 6, with 43 from Soumya Sarkar, while Akeal Hosein and Obed McCoy took two wickets each.

In reply, the men in maroon were all out for 140 in 19.5 overs, with skipper Rovman Powell hitting 60 in vain.

00:10Aqil Hussain got rid of Tanzid Hassan for 6 and then captain Litan Das for a Golden

00:19It became 30 for 3 with Rostan Chase also picking up a wicket.
00:24Jaqer Ali joined Soumya Sarkar and the two had a partnership with 57 runs.
00:31Sarkar was the top scorer with 43 while Ali made 27.
00:39By the time both were dismissed it was 96 for 5.
00:45But Mehdi Hassan and Shamim Hussain then put on a useful 49 for the 6th wicket.
00:54Hussain was unbeaten on 26 while Shamim would chip in with 27.
01:02Homeboy Obed McCoy finished with 2 wickets in the innings.
01:05Bangladesh closed on a tricky 147 for 6 from 20 overs.
01:11When the men in maroon responded, Brandon King was out to Tuscan Emmett for 1.
01:19And the dangerous Niklas Puran was also gone cheaply with Mehdi Hassan striking.
01:25Johnson Charles chipped in with 20 of 12 deliveries.
01:34But Mehdi Hassan got rid of Charles and the Windies were in a spot of bother.
01:40In fact the bowler had impeccable figures of 4 for 13 with Andre Fletcher and Rostan
01:44Chase being the other victims.
01:47And it only got worse with the team struggling at 61 for 7.
01:54A lot depended on Captain Ravman Powell if the Westernies had to get over the line.
02:02He brought up his half century with his 4-2 at his boundary and it was still anybody's
02:06game.
02:10Giving him good support was Romario Sheppard with their partnership being 67.
02:18But Sheppard was caught in the deep for 22 giving Tuscan Emmett his 2nd wicket.
02:25With 10 to get of the last over, Hassan Mahmood removed Powell for 6th day of 35 balls.
02:31That was a 5th dismissal behind the stumps for Das.
02:34And then Mahmood bowled Alzari Joseph for 9 as West Indies capitulated for 140 from
02:3919.5 overs giving the Tigers a 7 run win and a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series.
