00:00Coming up on today's wrestling news, is Chad Gable set for a shocking career move?
00:05Is WWE interested in a new member of the Bloodline?
00:09A missing AEW star's return has been discussed after almost three years out.
00:13And one of the big five WWE PLEs has undergone a change of date.
00:18I'm Adam Wilborn.
00:19I'm Michael Sedgwick.
00:20And this is the news.
00:22Right, Sage, let's talk all about Chad Gable.
00:24Yes.
00:25He was revealed, shockingly, to be El Grande Americano a couple of weeks ago.
00:30He's returned to WWE now.
00:32Huge pop for him on SmackDown.
00:33Huge pop on Monday Night Raw last night.
00:35We'll talk all about it on the Raw review, of course, later on today.
00:38Big things are happening for him.
00:40Yeah, like a world title push, perhaps.
00:41Exactly.
00:42That's exactly what I was going to say.
00:43I don't know anything about this, by the way.
00:45You told me not to look into this.
00:46I told him not to read this story.
00:48So, as you say, you'd think the next logical step is maybe he wins money in the bank.
00:52Or maybe he just works his way into a world title shot.
00:55Because he's always been a popular guy.
00:57But there's never been this groundswell of support behind Chad Gable like they have right now.
01:01Well, Eric Bischoff has been on his podcast to suggest that Chad Gable was, quote,
01:07sniffing around about competing in real American freestyle.
01:11And there are actual discussions about making it happen.
01:16So, in the moment where he finally could become a world champion, sack all that off and go and work
01:23for real American freestyle.
01:24So, says Eric Bischoff.
01:25Well, if I was Chad Gable, I wouldn't do that.
01:33Yeah, I agree.
01:34If I was Chad Gable and I harbored aspirations of competing in amateur wrestling, I'd probably just maybe try the
01:42Olympics again.
01:43I don't know.
01:43Yeah, fair.
01:44I don't know.
01:45I don't know much about amateur wrestling.
01:46I don't know if this is the equivalent of pitching Roman Reigns to go to Major League Wrestling.
01:51So, I don't know.
01:52Honestly, I'm not particularly informed about amateur wrestling.
01:55So, I don't want to bury this completely outright and reveal myself to be ignorant.
01:59And from my superficial knowledge of all of this, I would just probably wait to get pushed to the top
02:05in WWE.
02:05Because, as you say, there's never been a better opportunity.
02:09Why now as well?
02:10Well, I know why now.
02:11Why Bischoff's talking about it now.
02:13Because he's the name on everyone's lips right now.
02:15Yeah, yeah.
02:15But, like, he could have been there from the beginning.
02:17He could be like, oh, we're going to get this marquee name in.
02:20Like, a former Olympic wrestler who's been in WWE.
02:23Now, we'll wait until he's had one of the matches of the year, if not the match of the year,
02:28in AAA.
02:29And now, WWE has finally recognized the talent they have and seems to be getting behind him.
02:34And he's going to go, I don't fancy I'm going to go to Real American Freestyle instead.
02:40Well, again, I don't know.
02:43Maybe it's huge.
02:44Maybe it's going to be really legitimate.
02:46Maybe people are going to be proud to compete there.
02:48I don't know.
02:49What I do know is that the number two promotion in the United States remains emphatically All Elite Wrestling and
02:54not TNA.
02:55But I was reliably informed upon that when they strike an adequate TV deal, or get the correct TV deal,
03:01which they did with AMC,
03:03that, you know, sorry, AEW, it was a nice little dream that you had there, of being the number two
03:08promotion, vaguely competitive with WWE.
03:11No, it's all dead now.
03:12Them days is over.
03:15Because TNA's got AMC, and, you know, they've got the best booking team in the world, best talent roster.
03:19It's when you think about it, it's where the best wrestles.
03:21Yeah.
03:21Hence why, if so facto, they're now number two.
03:25When we wait on that moment, continuously.
03:28Indeed, but hey, it could happen next week.
03:30Could do.
03:31Who knows, might hop over them in the ratings battle.
03:33Was it 0.02 they got last time out?
03:36So, I don't know, maybe this RAF, yes, this RAF thing, maybe it is actually going to happen after all.
03:43Now, on the subject of things that might end up happening after all, a long gestating rumour might now come
03:49to fruition,
03:50because, according to PW Insider, Zilla Fatou has been spotted at the Performance Centre amid talk that WWE is at
03:59last going to bring him in.
04:02Now, for the longest time with Zilla Fatou, a lot of wrestling fans, Bloodline Mental, this one in particular, were
04:08happy to connect dots.
04:09You know, he's part of the dynasty.
04:12The Bloodline will be the biggest thing in WWE at this rate for the next six years, considering they're essentially
04:18rebooting it after all.
04:19And people went, well, he's part of the dynasty, that's going on on TV, why not bring him in?
04:24He's this rave-reviewed young performer and da-da-da-da.
04:27There is, in my opinion, a little bit of PR at play in that Zilla Fatou's probably, at this point,
04:32a little better at marketing himself
04:34than actually getting over in front of crowds and all the rest of it.
04:38So, it felt like a bit of a pipe dream and a bit of self-hype, but, apparently, it's actually
04:43happening.
04:44This follows Paul Heyman speaking about a month or so ago to Muscleman Malcolm, and I'm paraphrasing here,
04:51but it's close to the direct quote, saying that it would be remiss of WWE not to sign Zilla Fatou
04:57at the earliest opportunity.
05:00We know about the criminal record, but that did not stop WWE from hiring Jacob Fatou.
05:05So, I think it's safe to say that if they see something in it, they are willing to look beyond
05:10that.
05:11Yeah, I just thought it was one of those, you know, someone really good at hyping themselves and getting their
05:16name out there
05:17without really substantiating it in terms of performance and building a case of themselves.
05:22But, apparently, it's closer than ever to happening.
05:26I was shocked recently. I was chatting to a mate of mine about tribal combat, and he was sort of
05:31saying,
05:31what do you think is going to happen in it?
05:33And he said, I reckon Zilla Fatou shows up.
05:35And I was like, how do you know who Zilla Fatou is?
05:37Well, he must be good at getting the name out there.
05:39But, yeah, so it is one of those things where he is constantly mentioned alongside this Bloodline story,
05:43and they are sort of, yeah, doing the 2026 version of what they did for all those years.
05:48I don't see it necessarily happening just yet.
05:51It feels like, right now, the moment is for the focus on Jacob Fatou and his involvement in all of
05:56this.
05:57I will say, I particularly enjoyed Jey Uso last night on Monday Night Raw,
06:02mainly for him trying to cut a promo on LA night whilst being gassed out the ass after a double
06:09-yeet session.
06:11Hamflit literally messaged me about that.
06:13Yeah, it's absolutely crazy.
06:16And I will say as well, you know, Zilla Fatou doesn't have this reputation, really, of this, like...
06:21He doesn't have what Jacob Fatou had.
06:23No.
06:23That clip of Jacob Fatou bodying that fan went viral.
06:27I love that guy.
06:28Jacob Fatou...
06:28Hey, I'm part of the show!
06:30No, you're not.
06:31Trucked.
06:32You got absolutely mack-trucked by Jacob Fatou.
06:36That clip did the rounds.
06:37People who actually watched Jacob Fatou and MLW knew that he had the goods.
06:42People had seen the moonsault.
06:43Like, he had this attendant aura.
06:45You could just take one look at him from a clip and thought, there's a wrestler in there.
06:48There's a star in there.
06:51Zilla Fatou doesn't really have that.
06:52But it's funny you mention Jey Uso because, to paraphrase Paul Heyman,
06:55it would be remiss of me not to mention that WWE, as part of these ongoing bloodline sagas and stories,
07:02have put Tangaloa and Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso on television.
07:05I have a suspicion that in-ring match quality is not at the top of their minds,
07:10at the top of their heads, when they are booking this stuff out.
07:13Yeah.
07:13It doesn't really matter if you suck, if you're connected.
07:16That's a...
07:16That's...
07:17Well, truism in life generally.
07:19Yeah, I mean, I could see it eventually happening.
07:21I just feel like there's a lot of people already involved.
07:25You mentioned, you know, the others, the MFT side of things and Solo and Tala Tonga and Tammer, obviously.
07:33But, you know, JC, Matteo and Tangaloa got bounced.
07:37So...
07:37Yeah.
07:37There's always space.
07:39Yeah.
07:39There's always room.
07:40You can always create space.
07:42But, speaking of people we'd love to see on television, Keith Lee.
07:45What is going on with Keith Lee?
07:47There's been this...
07:48Indubitably.
07:49A void of Keith for, like, what, two, three years, basically?
07:54It's been a while.
07:55It's been a while.
07:56And I saw this...
07:58I saw Sean post about this last night.
08:00Sean Rossat post about an update on Keith Lee.
08:03And, yeah, Fightful inquired about what's going on with Keith Lee, basically.
08:08And we're told that, by AEW sources, that Keith Lee was discussed for a return to AEW programming a number
08:15of months ago.
08:15But that hasn't come to fruition.
08:17It was discussed internally.
08:18No word as to whether that got to extending the offer to Keith Lee, basically.
08:22But it was an idea that was bounced around, basically, by AEW.
08:27Some tentative plans.
08:30But the general consensus appears to be, if he was going to return to telly, it would have happened by
08:35now from these ideas.
08:38He hasn't been a regular at backstage tapings.
08:40He hasn't been there, you know, getting cleared for TV, which is normally quite a long process now.
08:44So, unfortunately, it doesn't look like we're going to see Keith Lee on our screens any time soon, which is
08:48a real shame.
08:49Like, I don't want to speculate about anything that's going on with him.
08:52There's, you know, there's enough of that out there already.
08:54But I just really feel for the guy because we're huge fans of his.
08:58We are.
08:59And on his best day, Keith Lee rules.
09:01And, you know, without going too deep into the speculation, there were two working theories as to why he'd been
09:07absent from AEW television for as long as he had.
09:10Either he had the Miro Malakai black affliction.
09:13Yes.
09:14Job hitters.
09:16Or an actual genuine medical issue that has prevented him from wrestling.
09:20And, look, you can infer from that report that it's viable.
09:25Yeah.
09:26If they're talking about him and if there's any merit to the report, you know, there's not always merit to
09:30every single report.
09:31But if there's merit to this, the idea that they are bringing him back to TV means he's capable of
09:38pro wrestling, which is the good news, potentially, yeah.
09:40It's one of those things where I'd almost take the idea now that I just want to see him.
09:46I don't even care necessarily about if he can get back in between the ropes.
09:50I just, we work with him in WCPW.
09:54He's a lovely guy.
09:55There we go.
09:56And funny story, actually, about Keith Lee.
10:00Keith Lee, a larger-than-life individual, I think it's fair to say.
10:04Indubitably.
10:04And I can't remember where we were, but we were at a show once, packing down the set.
10:11So just the, like, worker bees at this point.
10:13And we realised that Keith Lee was just sat in the back on, like, a flight case because someone had
10:18forgotten to pick him up and take him back to the hotel.
10:20And he didn't want to, like, bother anyone.
10:22Top bloke.
10:23I really hope he gets back on our screen soon, in whatever capacity, because I'm sure, I mean, like you
10:28say, his verbal dexterity is well known.
10:31Love him for it.
10:31Dead deering.
10:32Yeah.
10:34I'll say about Keith Lee, like, he will, he's been gone so long now, and in parallel, AEW has sort
10:41of had, like, a bounce back in terms of, like, live show attendance, ratings, critical acclaim.
10:48So it feels like, you know, they haven't really missed him.
10:50You put him in the ring once and put him in a position to succeed, you will, we did miss
10:55him after all.
10:56Yeah, I would love to see it, and, oh, and regardless of whether or not he can get back wrestling
11:02on a regular basis, we hope if he is suffering with health problems, he gets well soon.
11:06Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
11:08The last story today is pretty minor, but, you know, got the retention now.
11:13But, you know, it might be of interest to you.
11:15It might be of interest to you.
11:16I like Money in the Bank.
11:17It's one of my favourites.
11:18Well, this is it.
11:18As it pertains to Money in the Bank, let me just check my Dwayne Johnson notes.
11:23According to, yep, Sean Ross Sapp, he's in pretty much, I would say, 90% penetration, as the sources in
11:29these videos,
11:30has confirmed that Money in the Bank, which was originally slated for the 6th of September, 2026,
11:38has been pushed back to October the 10th.
11:41The reason cited, I don't know what this means, so I'm just going to say it for a bit.
11:46Schedule change with broadcast partners.
11:50I've got no idea what that means, but potentially good news here in that, so you've got SummerSlam way too
11:57early.
11:58I hate this.
11:59It's still hot, right?
12:00So it's still SummerSlam, but it's just this August 1st nonsense.
12:03I mean, it's utter woke nonsense that you're putting this, like, SummerSlam on way too early.
12:08It's a nice little send-off to the summer, in my opinion, but not no more.
12:12The end days is over.
12:14But with it being so early, and then September being a bit free, if you put Money in the Bank
12:22in September,
12:24you're basically giving the audience, right, September until December,
12:31just wait till the rumble.
12:32Wait till the rumble.
12:34We don't have much going on.
12:35If you do something with stakes and excitement, Money in the Bank traditionally,
12:39one of the best WWE PLEs, like, it's so good as a concept, it's such a reliable formula,
12:45that this event was still really quite brilliant under Brain Worm's Vince McMahon era.
12:512020 aside, quite obviously.
12:53So it's kind of a bulletproof concept.
12:55It's as popular as it is for a reason.
12:57But the idea of them putting it on in October allows for the teasers, storylines to be mapped out.
13:06And that gives you a bit, well, it gives Paul Levesque a bit of time in that sort of traditional
13:11dead period at the end of a calendar year.
13:13Oh, hang on, something's interesting here.
13:14There's a potential cash-in happening.
13:17So that'll sort of hopefully add some, like, reason for the weekly TV shows to exist towards the end of
13:23the calendar year.
13:24Because, quite frankly, like, the Continental Classic has helped AEW a lot.
13:29I would argue WWE needs something in November, December, because Survivor Series has washed, War Games has finished, M-Days
13:36is over.
13:36So this could help WWE, I feel.
13:40Yeah, I'm a huge Money in the Bank fan, have been for many, many years.
13:44Like you say, just the potential, it doesn't always work out, but the potential of just, like, one of your
13:48favourites who probably wouldn't organically just work his way up to a world title shot or her way up to
13:54a world title shot gets that, like, golden ticket.
13:58Yeah, exactly, for that sort of thing.
14:00I think this year in particular, the field is absolutely stacked in terms of people you could just put this
14:05on.
14:05I mean, Sami Zayn is someone I always call for, for winning Money in the Bank.
14:10This is arguably one of his strongest years ever with the character he's currently portraying.
14:13I don't know whether that extends as far as something like October now, although we're in June already.
14:19Yeah, I have no idea what this whole scheduling broadcast conflict thing is.
14:23Apparently he has been in the works for quite some time, so it's a surprise to us, but not to
14:27the relevant authorities or whatever.
14:29He also, I read, was something to do with it being Labour Day weekend in September, so that makes things
14:37easier or cheaper or whatever fans, and TKO's always looking out for fans to save money, obviously, or at least
14:43spend it with them.
14:44Yeah.
14:45But, yeah, the good news for fans in Europe is that this has now moved from Sunday to Saturday, which
14:52is a lot better for us.
14:53It is, especially when you've got kids as well.
14:55Although they did announce on, I think on Raw last night, that they're doing a Sunday night's main event at
14:59some point.
15:00I can't remember when they said that's going to be, but, yeah, love Money in the Bank.
15:04It's traditionally, what, like, May, June time normally?
15:06Yeah, it is.
15:06And this is their sort of, like, you didn't get WrestleMania in New Orleans, but how about Money in the
15:11Bank?
15:12For you, it's, like, trade-off.
15:14Yeah, fine, fine by me.
15:16I think we should go.
15:17But, anyway, very excited for Money in the Bank, and, yeah, let us know your picks right now for who
15:24you think should win it.
15:24Who's yours?
15:25Sami Zayn.
15:26It's always Sami Zayn, for you.
15:27In terms of the...
15:29I would say someone like Roxanne Perez might be quite good with the briefcase, but you could just...
15:35She would be good, especially if Liv's still got the title.
15:38If you're not going to do a title shot by then, you should, really, but if not, JC Jane, for
15:46me, should win the Women's Money in the Bank.
15:47She'd be brilliant with it.
15:49Yeah, JC Jane or Roxanne Perez are like for the women's side of things.
15:52As for the men, again, it should always be a heel.
15:55Or, failing that, if it's a baby face, cash in in advance, please.
16:01Yes.
16:01It's just the way that should go.
16:03I always used to hate the days of the opportunistic baby face.
16:06It was such an oxymoron.
16:08Crap.
16:09How it used to play out like that.
16:12Sami's a good one, because he can sort of say, well, other people jump the queue ahead of me all
16:17the time when he's playing this...
16:20Heel who's convinced he's still a baby face is sort of the direction he's half taken with this.
16:25Really good character work on the otherwise quite terrible SmackDown, I find.
16:30He would be great having that, why, after all, why shouldn't I cash in?
16:33Yeah.
16:33I think he'd be, right now in this character, it fits perfect with him.
16:38I see a lot of people talking about LA Knight.
16:39I don't think he needs the briefcase.
16:41I think he can just earn himself a title.
16:43No, he's just over...
16:45He's one of those where he's always, like, a certain level of over, where they could push that button whenever
16:50they really want.
16:51Trick Williams would be fun, but like you said, I do prefer it being on heels.
16:55I'd like, what about a white fluffy briefcase?
16:59That's incredible.
17:01Make it happen, WWE.
17:02Anyway, let's have any thoughts on everything we discussed in the comments section below.
17:05Don't forget to like, share, subscribe.
17:06Why not check out this video here?
17:07I've no idea what it is, but I'm sure it's great.
17:09Bye.
