00:00Who is your pick for the World Cup?
00:02Former national women footballers Akilah Malon and Karin Forbes have their say.
00:06If you were to pick a team for the World Cup, who would it be, which team would it be
00:10and
00:11why?
00:11It's easy.
00:12As a loyalist, I must admit, as a loyalist, I'm a Dutch, I've always supported the Netherlands.
00:19So I know a lot of people might be smiling at this Netherlands, but that has always been
00:23my team, so first I will always go with them.
00:26And obviously, you know, the French and them will be playing a kind of loving attacking
00:31football that I like, because I was attacking when I played right wing for Trinidad, attacking
00:35my whole life.
00:36So for me, yes, the French will do well as well, but I will stick to the Netherlands, they will
00:41always be number one, the Dutch.
00:43Meantime, former captain of the national women's team Karin Forbes believes Portugal will take
00:48the crown.
00:48I have always been a Portuguese, right?
00:52I support Cristiano Ronaldo, I love him.
00:56I not only love Cristiano Ronaldo because he has been a standout, I love Cristiano Ronaldo
01:01because of the things that he has done and he has achieved, and on how long he has been
01:06achieving it.
01:07So it's not a matter of just the fact that he's a fantastic player, but it's the things
01:11that he has done to get to where he's at.
01:13So definitely, I would say Portugal, and I'm not a Brazilian, I can tell you that for sure.
01:20Since you mentioned that, I mean, DR Congo is supposed to be Portugal's first game.
01:26How do you think they will do in that match?
01:29I think Portugal is going to get the win, 1-0, I'm predicting that.
01:34I don't think any game in this World Cup is going to be easy.
01:37When you talk about World Cup, it's a lot of intensity and just good football and everything
01:45goes into it.
01:45So, you know, nobody wants to lose, especially at the World stage.
01:50So it's definitely going to be tough.
01:52The first set of games, I do believe, if anyone wins, it's not going to be a high score because
01:57everybody's kind of fresh and everybody trying to go after it in these first games to try
02:01to see if they can get as much points as possible.
