00:00Trinbego Knight Riders lost by seven wickets to defending champs St. Lucia Kings in their
00:05Republic Bank CPL match at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
00:08TKR capitulated for 109 with the Kings getting the runs inside the 12th oval.
00:14TKR skipper Nicholas Puran was the highest scorer with 30 for his side.
00:18We are a very contented team, we are really happy to come to Trinidad and win 4 out of
00:225 games.
00:23The fans really came out and supported us and we are really happy we could have put some
00:28smiles on their faces and unfortunately the results didn't go in our favour tonight but
00:32very pleased as the captain of this team.
00:34It was TKR's second loss this season since the Antigua and Barbada Falcons defeated the
00:40Knight Riders before this.
00:41According to Puran, the team's think tank will analyse where it went all wrong for the Knight
00:46Riders.
00:47I mean again, I'm forced to play 5 games in a really short space of time and you know mentally
00:54and physically it has taken a lot out of the guys and I just want to commend the guys
00:58for being really professional both on and off the field.
01:01They put themselves in a position to play this game tonight and try to give their best.
01:05So really proud of the guys, again, we can only control what we can and we can't control
01:09the results.
01:10We as a group, we know where we fell short tonight and we will chat about it but overall
01:15I'm very pleased.
01:17The result puts the Kings at the top with a better net run rate since both the St.
01:21Lucia franchise and TKR have 12 points.
01:24Kings skipper David Reeser was pleased after his side got the better of the Knight Riders.
01:29Yeah, that was a great performance on the boys.
01:31The bowlers really stood up.
01:32I thought we assessed the conditions really well.
01:34Obviously it was nice to win the toss also.
01:36That makes a bit of a difference.
01:37But yeah, just a good complete team performance.
01:40TKR play Ghana-Amazon Warriors on Saturday at Providence Stadium while St. Lucia Kings next
01:47face Barbados Royals on Sunday in Bridgetown.
01:49The winner would not win if he was exploiting.
