00:00The 2026 World Cup has seen a few changes to the rules. It's been met with mixed views,
00:06and while the politics occur off the field, the big teams continue to win France, England,
00:12Argentina and Spain. With the finals set for Sunday, we got a few responses on these matters
00:18from a few notable personalities in the sporting world who were present for the final of the Women's
00:24Football League. Some looking forward to the epic conclusion to the 2026 World Cup and one not so much.
00:32I stopped watching the World Cup. I heard that the halftime is going to be 30 minutes.
00:38That is not what the World Cup is about. It's very commercialized in America. I'm extremely
00:43disappointed with some of the decisions that have been made in the World Cup and politics
00:48in the frame of football. I'd never like it, so I actually wouldn't be watching the final. I didn't
00:53watch the semifinals. What about the third place match? I'm not going to watch those games.
00:58I'm not happy about a halftime show for 30 minutes and that kind of thing. I'm a football purist.
01:04This was football tonight. UTT gave everything. We gave everything. I don't understand how we want
01:10to change up the game and commercialize the game when it's already commercialized. It's the most
01:15watched sport in the world already. Over commercialized or not, there are those who will
01:21still be tuning in to watch the great Lionel Messi in the final.
01:25Well, Brazil is my team. They out, but I am a Messi fan. I love his humility. I think he's
01:32a special
01:32player that we will never see again. So Argentina all the way. I love Spain. Barca fan, but Argentina
01:38would like to see him lift it again. And the third place player? France. France, they should have been
01:45in the final, but football is played on the days. So I think France will get that one.
01:50Still, the winner is not certain as each team enters the final with their strengths.
01:56Definitely, I would like to see Spain win it. I thought that when they played against France,
02:01it was a very organized team from back to front. I definitely will be supporting Spain over Argentina.
02:08Is it far-fetched to see Spain lifting the crown?
02:12So my World Cup prediction is Spain for the finals. I think they have the most cohesive unit. They play
02:19as a team together, not individual players. While I respect the Argentines and Messi is the most
02:25intellectual player right now in the world. I believe that Spain has what it takes to nullify his
02:32potential and his potency and compact the midfield, which is the place where the game is going to be won.
02:39And Spain's midfield is compact. They don't have a one striker. The striker joins the midfield when
02:44in defense and then they attack as a group. I believe they will be victorious over Argentina. Not only that,
02:51but the defense seems to be the most stingy defense in the World Cup thus far. Will you give any
02:55golden boot to?
02:57I think Messi will get it. Yeah, he's at nine already. I don't see Harry Kane who's at six or
03:02Bellingham or anybody passing that nine and he's going to get the golden boot. Lionel Messi versus
03:08Rodri. Emiliano Martinez versus Lamine Yamal. It's all to play for come Sunday. Sergio Dufour, TV6 Sport.
