00:38actually um i became an authorized dealer so um also i started designing and customizing a lot of people
00:46glasses in the city so i was really good at customizing um changing the different shapes and
00:52sizes for different cartier frames and then i became an authorized cartier dealer so i was
00:57all already known in the city for selling glasses and being really good at my craft and then i became
01:03an authorized cartier dealer because that's what i was known for is designing and changing the styles
01:09for cartier oh i love that yeah and i've seen a couple of different ones the one with the heart
01:14shapes absolutely i can do the hearts i can do any shape size um another thing people always think that
01:20i'm like queen of cartier because i'm just like oh queen i'm the you know is someone actually gave
01:27me that name of being queen of cartier because they felt as though i was the queen of designing
01:33cartier so i took that we became authorized dealers and that became my nickname and that was
01:38so it was a customer who gave me that name and it was also one of my associates uh someone
01:45i worked
01:45with me i love that so were you always just in love with luxurious eye brand or eyeglass wear or
01:52did it just really just stumble stumble across you i stumbled across it i went to look for a job
01:57when
01:58i was younger okay vision and the it seemed like it was boring to me but i love to style
02:05people i love
02:06to look at your face and i love to make your glasses look like jewelry for your face so i
02:10started
02:10off at pearl vision then i went to dlc and that's where i learned to appreciate the luxury of eyewear
02:17the luxurious part of it um the different brands um the different brands that's carry i learned
02:23the history of cartier i learned the history of um a lot of different brands not just cartier but it
02:29was like david eden it was at the time it was chanel it was always kazelle it was always kazelle

02:36yeah so it was different brands that we learned about and we were educated about so that's how i
02:41learned the luxury lines the different about the different luxury lines i love it and what sets
02:46cartier different from the other brands cartier is one of the oldest jury lines it's over 100 years
02:53old it may be 150 or 200 years old but it's one of the oldest jury lines around and cartier

03:01originally created for the cartier glasses were created for small um small french man faces
03:07and i can see that yeah but when it came to us detroiters okay we started taking the lenses and
03:13make them a little bigger so that we can fit them so a whole different meaning to it yeah we
03:17brought a
03:18whole different creativity to it so um that's cartier so cartier with us you get your serial number you
03:24get your stamp of authenticity you get a two-year manufacturer defect warranty and what stands
03:29cartier um apart from a lot of different other luxurious lines is that it is titanium with gold
03:36with real gold so um yeah so cartier that's cartier i love it listen every time you see you know

03:43the only way you got to be in the city you got to come with the cartis okay you got

03:48people come from out of town you got to have a pair you have to have a pair it's the

05:39couldn't even afford a pair of cartier and i was i worked with cartier and that's how i earned my

05:44pair but that was i had to have a pair you know it's just a staple i mean you have

06:56the older that it gets i love that so much and i know that you're partnering with ashton martin

07:09ashton martin how did that partnership come to be well we were contacted and they want they uh
07:15they said they wanted to partner with us uh for advertising and we went from there because they
07:21thought they they saw our page and they saw that we marketed our cartier in a more luxurious way
07:29oh see so it's an experience when you're an experience so we were chosen see everybody wants
07:34to jump on yeah i love that we're chosen congratulations to that in advance okay because
07:38that's a big that's a big step thank you yeah they saw our work and they wanted to collab
07:43see that's how you do it now you're doing big things like the trunk show well you know that's
07:49the that is a that is a huge thing um and and it's also like i said i'm paying homage

07:55yes so i really am from the city like i said i'm from i have a single mom i am

08:08luxury right and we need and we want every piece of it i mean i feel like we need more

08:13the city we do we do because when you think of detroit a lot of times people go straight to
08:17everything bad about detroit you know the crime the gangs that's the first thing but they never
08:23state they never say how we started the fashion game like we are like your glasses down from your
08:31head to your shoes the fur coat everything we do it yes we do this on an everyday basis we
08:37keep up so
08:38that's why i like i stand for detroit so much i love that and what's what makes this
08:46event i'm gonna say event because we know the show but event different from just shopping for your
08:52frames at a regular store because it's detroit um what makes it different is that it's going to be
08:57more elegant okay and that you get to see and touch every pair really that is in stock that you're
09:03able to buy so you will be able to order with our rep that day and then like i said

10:27see now you know i gotta ask what's one mistake that you feel people do when it comes to eyeglass
10:33wear like what's one mistake they make when they wear them one mistake it's if they don't get them
10:39adjusted properly ah they be sliding off your face you don't want that i don't want that so that
10:45bothers me i always feel like certain celebrities like the temples are always too high up and it's
10:51one celebrity in particular who i feel as though his glasses are never adjusted correctly and is snooped
10:57on really i feel like behind his ear every time he wears his glasses they're never adjusted correctly
11:04behind his ear i could believe i feel like he has tiny ears probably no no so i'm no i'm
11:09noticing that his his ears are small they probably sat back and then the person who's giving him his
11:15glasses they don't know to adjust the temples okay so that bothers me okay you know he won't get that
11:20type of experience with you yes and then you know i hate when people have glasses where i don't feel
11:26like the optician gave them their full options so that's one thing i'm good at as well i make sure
11:32that i combine the formulas that's needed to make sure that you look good like some people will just pick
11:37out a pair of glasses and just say this is that i am the type of optician or eyewear stylist

11:43will tell you that those are ugly and i don't like those and i will tell you why i don't
11:47like those
11:48yes yeah so every pair of glasses don't look right on everyone right they don't so you have to measure
11:55and fit and so i changed the shape and style of rimless glasses and colors and i love it it's

12:02an art to me it really is i mean really i could hear the passion just when you just explaining

12:07that's what you want when you're getting a pair of cardies like you don't want to just come in and
12:11just buy some you know everybody wants a pair of cardi glasses but to go in and know like this

13:44um just regular sunglasses right here oh that's so nice just just something simple but my work is
13:53um i have these these are cartier of course and this is our new style here it's one of the
13:58new
13:58styles so i did the cuts and everything these also transition as well do they transition they have a
14:03tint and a trans oh that's so good that's so dope yeah they transition to ruby listen i wish i

14:11show you guys when the light isn't just right yeah so this is so so many different reasons why
14:17you need to get a pair yes and this one here this is a regular cartier so no one knows
14:22like we this is
14:23a full frame and it has 18 karat gold on the side but this is a new panther edition oh

14:31so this is like if you want to look fly you just want regular sunglasses that looks so so cute

14:38out of my budget but see you make you feel like anybody can leave with a pair you get a

14:51everyone now that makes me happy there is a budget for everyone cartier is not just three thousand
14:56dollar glasses no they have some that's very reasonable um they have it's it's called affordable

15:07because i think that you have to have money instantly to have cardies because you know
15:13they're expensive it's up there it's jewelry for your face that's true make sure that it looks like
