00:00One on five, one on Bounce, you're straight to Stoback for your pop and R&B. It's your boy,
00:03Showtime, the czar. In studio, I got a special guest in here with me today. I'm gonna let her
00:07introduce herself. What's up, everybody? It's Guy's wife, DJ Heart and Soul, a.k.a. Ebeneezza
00:14Villis. Thank you. Welcome to the show. Appreciate you for stopping through and chopping it up and
00:18talking with your boy. For sure, no problem. So, first off, in my opinion, skating is a culture,
00:25correct? Yeah. Talk to me about that a little bit. What is something that people don't know
00:30about the skating culture, a misconception about skating culture that you think? Well, I feel like
00:35because I grew up with God, you know what I'm saying, in my life, I feel like that's missing in
00:44it. Like, the fun, the culture of it is the natural and the nature that it gives you naturally. Like,
00:51for me, I spiritually got connected to my body, you know what I'm saying, during skating. Skating
00:57taught me how to use the left side of me, you know, the right side. It taught me how to
01:02balance. It
01:02taught me, like, how to center myself, you know, and it connected to what was going on in my life.
01:10Like, I wasn't balanced in certain things, like, as far as my thoughts, my choices, and stuff like
01:14that. So, skating made me connect with my daily life, you know what I'm saying? So, I'm like,
01:20dang, I got to stretch before I do certain things. I wasn't paying attention to what skating made me
01:26pay attention to before I started skating. So, it became, like, so big to my life, and now I teach
01:34it, and it's my ministry. I teach them how to use their heart, how to not think, just create,
01:39you know what I'm saying? Skating is more of, like, a freedom. It's not supposed to have you
01:44bound and thinking about things that's not natural, you know what I'm saying?
01:48Got you. Would you consider skating a sort of therapy for you?
01:53Oh my gosh, yes. It's a healing, too. It's everything.
01:56Got you. You said you grew up in the house with how many brothers and sisters?
01:59Six brothers.
02:01Six brothers and two sisters.
02:02And two sisters. Okay, so y'all's getting y'all mama nervous, for sure, for sure.
02:05She was gone.
02:06Oh, for real?
02:07Yeah, three jobs.
02:08Oh, man, she was working. Talk to me about that, man. Growing up with so many brothers
02:13and sisters, and then, like you said, music was a huge influence for you growing up. Talk
02:17to me a little bit about that. Are your brothers and sisters in the music? How much of an influence
02:20did they have on you in terms of what you do now?
02:23So, shoot, first of all, they taught me what not to do first, you know?
02:27Gotcha, yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:28They made all their wrong choices, you know, and they got in trouble. So, I love the fact
02:32that they got in trouble first, and I learned from their mistakes.
02:35Where you fall at? You like the middle child? You the oldest, the youngest? Like, how?
02:39So, my oldest sister is 58.
02:41Gotcha.
02:42And my youngest sister is 40. I'm 41.
02:46So, I'm next to the baby.
02:48Ah, there you go. So, yeah, by the time they got to you, yeah, they did everything. Okay,
02:53bet, bet, bet.
02:54Yeah, yeah.
02:55I want to go back to the skating thing real quick. How long did it take you before you
03:02actually felt like, I'm legit at this, like, I'm like that with the skating?
03:07You know what? I didn't realize it until people told me because I was so in-depth on what I
03:14was, like, learning about myself. I didn't realize that people could even notice the things
03:20that I didn't know how good I was until somebody recorded me. So, actually, me watching myself,
03:25I was like, you know, in the beginning, I was like, ooh. So, watching me is what tightened
03:30me up. It made me see that I was either not trying hard or I was trying too hard or
03:36I didn't
03:36need all of the, you know, extra things. Skating taught me how to be gentle and firm.
03:42You know, like, having balance and, like, you can't overdo it. It taught me that my
03:47head was heavier. You know what I'm saying?
03:49Yeah, right. I got you.
03:49So, I can't put my head down. Like, I learned so many beautiful things about it.
03:53How many times you had to fall? Because I think that's the thing, people, when you talk
03:57about skating, because I can't skate, but my girl loves skating, okay? My stepson, he
04:01loves to skate. They be like, you come out here and skate? I'm like, nah, bro, I'm too old
04:04to be falling. I got to get back up. Knees being broken. You know what I'm saying? I got to
04:07go to
04:07work. So, that's one of the things people, like, fear when it comes to skating. How many times, like,
04:12what do you tell people about skating and, like, falling? Like, it's okay, man.
04:16Obviously, you know you're supposed to fall, but how do you get people past that
04:19fear is what I'm asking. So, the first thing is I tell them you don't have that
04:23far to go, right? If you fall, you don't have that far to go. The flow book right
04:27there. Especially short people. It's just right there. So, you know.
04:31Okay, I like that. Yeah, that's the first thing. I make them smile with that. And then
04:36I teach them how to fall, right? Oh, there's a method to it. That's the first lesson in
04:41roller skating. It's how to fall. Okay. So, what is the, what is the, can you get out
04:44of the way? Yes, absolutely. So, first thing is when you're about to fall, you do not put
04:50your hands down, right? Really? You have to, yes. You cannot, don't fall on your hands or
04:54your wrists because it's possible. You can break fingers, wrists, you know. And then, you
04:59know, if you're not understanding how to hold your upper body, you can fall on you
05:04too hard, right? Right. Some people don't know how to catch their fall. So, I learned
05:09to sit with it. Don't fight it. And just, you know what I'm saying? Just relax. Some
05:14people stiff up because they just don't want to fall. Right. Like, that's the best
05:18part of skating for me now. I fall like a pro. That, you know, if I don't know how to
05:23skate, I know how to fall. You definitely just taught me something. I didn't know there was
05:27a method to it. So, maybe that was why I'm so terrified of falling because I didn't know
05:30that there was a technique in order to prevent yourself from getting hurt. That's
05:34some good information right there. Let's talk about the DJing. When did you start
05:37getting into the DJing process and who are some DJs that you, like, looked up to
05:42growing up or wanted to make you do start getting into DJing? So, I love me some DJ
05:47Bryan from Atlanta. Okay. I went to Atlanta about seven, eight years ago and I just was
05:55like, dang, you know, I traveled skating for a long time. I just, I love music. I'm an
06:00inspirational singer, songwriter. So, it's in me, right? And I'm just like, you know
06:05what? I went to a house party. One of our friends had some DJ boards sitting around.
06:10I was like, man, I always want to learn how to do that. Long story short, he was
06:14like, I got so many. Just give me a quarter. You know what I'm saying? And if you
06:19can't, if you can't pay it off right now, just give me a quarter whenever you can.
06:22This man gave me a speaker, a board. He gave me everything. The chords.
06:26Wow. I didn't have to put no money down. He said, hey, take this. When I tell you,
06:33I worked on it. I said, you know what, God, I had to down. He even put the system in
06:38for
06:38me on my laptop, made sure I had all the things that I needed. I just got done paying
06:44them maybe two years ago for all this equipment. And I've been gone from Atlanta about eight
06:49years. Are you originally from Atlanta or are you from here? I'm from Flint.
06:52Oh, that's right. Yeah. Okay. Got you. Got you. Yeah. Shout out to Flint, man. Okay.
06:57So yeah, when I got into it, I never stopped. When I have something in me, I go for it.
07:03I'm
07:03so resilient and I wake up every day thinking I got to do something else. I'm a Capricorn
07:09too. So yeah, I'm a Capricorn too. That's what's up. Okay. You a January or December
07:13Capricorn? December. Cause that's a difference. I was rocking with you till you said December.
07:18I'm a January. Yeah. Yeah. I ain't got nothing against you though. For sure.
07:23That's what's up. Yeah. I pray. Well, now I definitely rock with you cause you're my Capricorn
07:26sister. That's what's up. You talked about your musical influences or just music in general.
07:32You sing, you song write. What got you into that? Obviously you talked about, you know,
07:37your mom and everything, your brothers and sisters, but who was some musical influence
07:41that you liked growing up, man? And what made you want to say, let me write some stuff.
07:45Write some stuff? Yeah. Who's some of your favorite writers or, or just, um, singers in
07:51general? Okay. So I'm going to start with India, I read fire. Can't go wrong with my brandy
07:56Monica, you know, SWV, all of those old school R and B. Okay. I mean, everybody really, I can
08:05learn a little bit from everybody. I can't even just name one. Talk to me about your music
08:09cause I feel like the names that you just gave me definitely are R and B. So talk to me
08:14about
08:14that. Talk to me about some of your music, uh, for people who haven't heard it. So for
08:18my music, um, I have songs like brave, uh, reintroduce myself. Uh, I like to talk about
08:26myself to inspire other people. You know what I'm saying? So I took a little bit from everybody
08:31and just made it, you know, I created my own world. So I made their music and my music
08:40connect in a more spiritual creative way. So I'm an inspirational singer songwriter, but
08:45I'm inspired from what inspired them to sing about God. So I took a, I took things from India
08:52I read that I wanted, you know, to be known about myself as well. So India, I read hands
09:00down, got me through a lot of things. So I, you talk about, um, God a lot. Are you a,
09:06uh,
09:07I want to say faith based person or just more of a spiritual individual?
09:11Absolutely both. You know, I carry him and everything every second, you know, is necessary. And that's
09:17why I feel like I have to keep on pressing on as far as just, you know, carrying God and
09:23things
09:23I came so far and it was only because of my faith, you know, I've learned so many things
09:30about God because strangers showed up in him. I wouldn't even know half these people if it
09:36wasn't for a stranger. I wouldn't know God if it wasn't for strangers, because when I moved
09:41to Atlanta, that's when he showed up when I didn't have nothing. People walking up to me
09:46didn't know I ain't have no gas money. Didn't know I wasn't from there. Didn't know I was
09:50homeless. Gave me things I didn't have to ask God for because he already knew.
09:54So that, you know, with alone, I inherit that and I put it in everybody I meet. Not by saying
10:01it, but by showing it. Because you don't show up talking about God. You show up being and
10:07carrying what God is in you. Like this is where he hides. So I teach people, you know, be careful
10:13what you say because you don't know who you're entertaining.
10:16That's fire right there. I know Atlanta, they have a huge roller skating culture down
10:22there. How influential was the roller skating culture in Atlanta on you as you progressed
10:28in your roller skating culture?
10:29That's a good question. So in Atlanta, y'all, I mean, they take the toe stops off. So me learning
10:38the most basic and beautiful things as far as Detroit style. Detroit has an amazing style
10:44because it teaches you structure, balance. You know, you got to be tight. Detroit is they
10:49don't play about that posture. Right. Right. And I love that because I got to give Detroit
10:54they credit. They I can't I have not been able to not say I wouldn't be this good without
11:02Detroit style. Got you. Right. So with Atlanta, Detroit has a toe stop. Atlanta don't. So when
11:07I went there, I wanted to do some different stuff. I'm like, okay, all I'm doing is reverse
11:12and bopping on slow songs. I know I only knew a style. I know creating something. So when
11:19I took my toe stops off, I was able to get deeper into my the floor. I was able to
11:24bend
11:24my knees a little bit more. I could turn quicker. I had to loosen up my toes. I mean, my,
11:29um, my grips, what's they call my, uh, uh, trucks to be able to turn and maneuver a different
11:37type of way. So I learned a little bit more about my skates when I moved to Atlanta, my
11:41Detroit, my trucks was tight, which allowed me to slide a little bit more. I can do like
11:46different things with the slippery or wheels in Atlanta. They don't slide like that. They
11:51do, but they don't, they glide. So I had to change my wheels so I wouldn't slide as much.
11:56And I was able to grip and turn and dance a little bit more. So it gave me strength that
12:01I didn't know I had without the toe stops. Was it a hard adjustment for you? It was
12:06definitely a hard adjustment, but because I learned how to use my left side, it balanced
12:11me. Nice. I was just using more of my right side skating Detroit, but my left side, I had
12:16to learn and use my arms a different kind of way. So it made it more passionate. Now I was
12:21more curious because my toe stops is off. Then I started skating on the wrong feet. I
12:26put my skates on the wrong feet and I was like, okay, I got to balance this out because
12:32what in the world? No toe stops. It was awkward because I grew up with toe stops.
12:37Yeah. How does that work? What does this? How do you stop?
12:40So you use your wheels and once you learn how to use a wheel, some wheels are grippy. Some
12:45is, you know, slippery. So I learned, I checked, I was changing different wheels, finding out
12:50what I could and couldn't do. I put the slippery wheel on the outside, two on the outside, and
12:55then I put the grippy wheels on the inside. So you got four wheels. You get the slippery
12:59one on the out, one on the end, uh, grippy. So when I go around the curves, I can get,
13:06I
13:06can still get that easy, you know, turn, but it won't let me slide if I put the wheels on
13:10the inside. So I was learning what I was doing and how I was putting more weight on one side
13:15and stuff like that, balancing myself. And it just, I started playing basketball with
13:20them on to be able to, you know, have that grip and get low. So I started just like using
13:26it as using different tools. I started jump roping. I put a book on my head. I wanted to
13:30balance. I wanted to be blindfolded. So I just, Atlanta made me find something so much deeper
13:36than skating was. It means so much to me. I can't even explain it. Right. And skating
13:43is not like a comparison to me to anything. Skating, I don't want to be compared. I don't
13:48like, I just like creating. Skating allowed me to skate in cursive and not have such a like
13:54demand on myself. I don't expect nothing from me when I skate. I just like to create, right?
14:00I don't like to think. So Atlanta allowed me to have that freedom in my mind. Detroit
14:06allowed me to like have that freedom in my body, my spirit, because putting two and two
14:13together, I was just like, oh my God, now my heart and my head is aligned. They're together.
14:18They used to be separated. Right. So now that I have my left side agreeing with my right,
14:24this side ain't weaker than this side anymore because I'm balanced now. I'm scaled.
14:30Skating has put me back together spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally. I was off
14:36balance. You know, when you're going through stuff and you can go skating and all of that
14:41just goes away for those few hours. It's like, oh my God, you want it all the time. And now
14:48when you go skating more often, those thoughts is gone because now you're building up something.
14:53You're learning more about yourself. You're getting confidence out of nowhere. Now you're curious
14:58about what you can do next. So it's like, man, skating, God is all in it. He all in it.
15:05I didn't know the wheels. Okay. You just told me something again. The wheels. I had no idea
15:11how, I mean, obviously they're important, but I guess the grip and the slide and all of
15:16that stuff takes place. So how does somebody who's, you know, wanting to get into this,
15:20what, I guess I'm going to ask like, how do they know what wheels to pick? What wheels
15:24not to pick? You know what I'm saying? Cause you broke it down in a technical manner that
15:27I didn't even know it was a thing. Okay. So somebody else watching this and they're like,
15:31oh, I need to go check my wheels. What should they do? What's the place to start?
15:35You know, for me, I figured out what I wanted to do. You know, I changed the way I wanted
15:43to skate. Some people, um, they just want a certain style. So they already know what kind
15:48of wheels. I have different wheels on my skates because they all do something different.
15:53Sometimes I just, you know, I knew what I wanted to do. I knew where I wanted the wheel
15:59to go, how I wanted to slide on certain moves because I understood what I do now. I'm like,
16:05oh, I know what I can do now. So my left foot only got certain kinds of wheels on it.
16:11Cause
16:11I don't want to, I don't want to do that side yet. I'm still training my right side.
16:16You left handed or right handed? I'm curious.
16:19I'm right handed, but I'm even. I make sure I brush my teeth with my left hand so I can
16:22stay balanced. I eat with my fork. I play basketball. Like I do everything with my left
16:27hand on purpose. Cause if I ever have to lose this one, I never lose. You know what I'm saying?
16:32So I make sure I teach that as well. But your question was, I'm sorry.
16:37Just about the wheels. When people come with buying the wheels, I didn't know that the wheels
16:41were obvious. Like I said, they're important, but I didn't know it was as technical. So
16:45somebody learning about the wheels, what's something, some advice that you would give them
16:48about the wheels?
16:48I would say, you know, um, try all kinds of wheels, you know what I'm saying? Because
16:54as for starters, you're going to use the rentals and then you're going to be like, Oh, okay.
16:59They're going to want to learn how to do a turn. And then once they figure out that that
17:03turn is going to make them have to hop a little bit more, cause sometimes the grippy wheels,
17:08you can't get no slide, right? If you're not trying to turn and do all that, you can, you
17:16just trying to go forward and backward. The grippy wheels is okay. If you just going,
17:21just want to ride outside in the street. But if you want to do like tricks and different
17:25stuff like that, there are wheels that do have both inside of it. The outside of the
17:31wheel is the grippy side or the inside of the wheel, right? The inside is grippy. The
17:38outside is slippery. It's on the same wheel though. So there is a possible, it's a possibility
17:44that you can get both or you can just get it one way. If you just want slippery wheels
17:48all the way through, you can, you can do that. But you have to figure out what kind of skater
17:53you are. You got to figure out what's your heart, you know what I'm saying? What's in
17:56your heart? Cause if you skating from the head, it ain't the same. You got to skate from
18:00the heart. So if you don't care about falling, if you don't mind, you know what I'm saying?
18:06How you look, you got to be willing to look crazy in order to, you know what I'm saying?
18:10Be great. So I was just telling my daughter in the car, I said, baby, it's hard being
18:14great. You know, that's a choice. You got to, that's a choice. So yeah. So I'm like in order
18:21for the wheels, you just got to know what you willing to do. If you willing to fall, you
18:26understand that, you know how they ask you, uh, when they, when you about to go on for
18:31surgery, they like, uh, you know what you getting inside, you know, it's a possibility
18:35you could die. Cause you skating at your own risk. So you do have to make sure you willing
18:40to go ahead and risk that. So just know what you want to do. I would say. And, um, let's
18:47go with it. You know, a couple more questions. I'ma let you get up out of here. Um, when it
18:52comes to music, so you on both sides, you picking the music and you also roller skating, what's
18:57like the best songs to roller skate to, to get you like in the vibe. Cause, um, everybody
19:02obviously goes back to the throwbacks to roll the Bob skate, you know what I'm
19:06saying? But I know that it's like, you know, old school, old school. So what's
19:09some of your favorite songs to roller skate to? You know what? Long as he got a good
19:15beat, I can't specifically pick one song because I can skate to anything. That's
19:23just me. If I choose to think of a song and say, that's a good roller skate song
19:28and I DJ it and people will look at me like, you know, some songs, it just played
19:33out. If I think it's a good song, you know what I'm saying? At the moment, it
19:37could be a bad song for others. Gotcha. So it's like, it's hard to kind of like, you
19:42know what I'm saying? Please everybody. But for me, I can skate to any song. It
19:47could be slow, fast. You have to, you have to see it. But for everybody, it's not
19:51like that. And I have to remember that when I'm DJing, you know what I'm saying? There
19:55is so many different people to cater to, but at the end of the day, it's going to
20:00be a beat you can skate to. If you don't like the song, you still going to be able
20:04to, you going to complain, complain, but it ain't like you can't skate to it. I never
20:10choose a song that it just be like. That you can't skate to. Yeah, yeah. Have
20:14you ever DJed a roller skating event? Yes. Okay. Biggest difference in your opinion
20:20with DJing like a bar, club, and then like a roller skating rink in your opinion? Obviously,
20:26you know, but what's the biggest difference in your opinion? Oh, you definitely got to
20:30have some skate songs, right? There is a difference between, you said a bar DJ? Yeah. Like if
20:36you DJing at a club, yeah. What's the biggest difference? The difference is you got to know
20:41that skate music ain't club music, right? And that roll, bounce, skate, hop, jump, kicks,
20:47you can't play that type of music in no club. And you can't play club music. You can play
20:52club music at a skate rink, but it got to be on a certain night. Some people got, you know,
20:58Detroit got 25 and up. They don't play all that. They don't want to hear none of that,
21:03that young, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, no sexy red, no Cardi, none of that. And nobody
21:07want to hear all that old school, you know what I'm saying? Right, at the bars. So it's like,
21:11where do you win? You know what I'm saying? I'm tired of losing. Where do you win? We not,
21:17we not around people that appreciate the small gestures. It's hard to find DJs that want to
21:22please these people now because they hard to please Detroit. It don't matter where you at,
21:27Flint, you know what I'm saying? These skate parties, they want certain music. Some people just
21:32want two hours of slow sets. Some people just want two hours of fast music. You know what I'm saying?
21:38And it's just be like, come on, y'all. It's too many people from different states.
21:42As far as this music thing is, we can't even share it. You know what I'm saying? Everybody just want
21:47their way and it's hard, but I'm like, I got to stand up. Somebody got to do it. Right.
21:56So last thing I want to ask you, you have an event coming up this Sunday. Okay. From nine to
22:02one.
22:02Can you talk to me about that event? Yes. So long story short, I had
22:08hollered at Miss Patrice Lovely. She is an actress from one of the Tyler Perry films.
22:15Yes. And she's a DJ. I didn't know that. And my cousin hollered at me. He was like,
22:22cuz, I think y'all should do something. I'm like, what? So I'm explaining why I don't really mess with
22:28certain celebrities or do things like that. And we decided to go ahead and do a skate party. Right.
22:34And then she's like, well, since I'm coming there, can we do a Friday? Can we do a weekend thing?
22:40I'm like, bet. We find different venues for her. We took care of everything. And we ended up doing it
22:49around this time of the month, the 14th, 15th, the 15th, 16th, 14th, 15th, and the 16th.
22:56And, um, we, we did t-shirts. We did, we was excited. We getting everything together. And,
23:02um, we talked about the ticket sales and stuff like that. And at $41, I'm thinking that's a little
23:08bit too much because for skating, nobody pays that much to, to come to a skate party. But Miss
23:15Patrice was saying that, um, you know, it's me, you know what I'm saying? I got fans. So I was
23:21like,
23:21okay, I want to make sure you get what you deserve. If you driving down, you coming this far,
23:27$41 shouldn't be bad. You know what I'm saying? But I'm like, okay, we see you, you know, in this
23:32outfit. We know Ma finna come here and do her thing. So we found out what she wanted to do.
23:37She do this
23:38club trees thing where she bring love, light and laughter, you know, to just have everybody having
23:44a good time. So we, we did everything we needed to do. Um, she, she was, she, uh, my wife
23:53posted,
23:53she made flyers and we were asking her to post it and stuff so we can get it going.
23:58She was just posting the videos of herself and just putting the dates. So I was like,
24:02dang, Miss Patrice, uh, we got to do a little bit better with these, you know what I'm saying?
24:07Share the flyers because nobody sees us. I wasn't, I wasn't getting tagged and stuff like that. So
24:13it wasn't making sense. So I was just like, dang, two weeks before the party came up,
24:20she, she was starting to, you know, she was posting her, but not the flyers.
24:24Gotcha. So I was like, dang, two weeks before the party, she showed us the ticket sale, maybe a week,
24:32a week and a half before the party, she showed us the ticket sales. And, um, she was like, well,
24:37I don't think we're going to be able to make it. Cause it's going to cost long story short,
24:40it cost more for her to come here than she was making in ticket sales. So she says they had
24:47to
24:47cancel. Well, postpone it and we'll come back to it. But I'm like, dang, we done posted up.
24:53We done did all this. We done made these t-shirts. We done called the ready. We didn't did all
24:57this.
24:57So I'm like, dang, my wife birthday was August 11th. Happy belated birthday.
25:02Happy belated birthday.
25:02And, um, I said, you know what? We got to cancel these two people. You know, we made sure she
25:09didn't have to come out of money like that. And it just was a lot on us. You know what
25:14I'm saying?
25:14We use the card that we don't, we don't even pull on ourself. We calling our friends for,
25:19to see if we can get her in her venue. So I felt, I was like, dang, you know what
25:24I'm saying?
25:25We ain't even never use these people for this kind of favor. Right, right, right.
25:28So we called in our people for favor. And because the ticket sales wasn't working,
25:34she decides to tell us she's gonna postpone it. So I said, dang, I gotta at least keep something.
25:41The tickets that was sold the most was the skate party. Okay. So I said, you know what?
25:48My name on this flyer, I'm gonna turn my wife birthday into a party. We gonna throw this thing to
25:55the roof because ain't no way I'm just gonna walk away and not just show up because she can't.
26:03So I said, you know, I'm just gonna bike this. You know what I'm saying? I don't really get them.
26:09I get supported, first of all, from Detroit and my family. My friends do show up for what they can
26:14do.
26:14We got donations already from a few of our people in the skate community as far as the skate party
26:21Sunday.
26:21But um, so it got it got canceled from her. And we I took it and I said, you know
26:28what, Miss Diane,
26:29thank you, Miss Diane. We gonna go ahead and yeah, we gonna go ahead and keep on with this skate
26:36party.
26:36Miss Patrice can't make it. I want to do a Leo skate badge for my wife. You know what I'm
26:42saying?
26:42We gonna have to turn this this lemonade this lemon into lemonade because I gotta keep going.
26:48You know what I'm saying? I wasn't depending on her. No way. Honestly, I just was like, you know what?
26:54I got faith. We still got this date. Skateland need us. We need Skateland. You know what I'm saying?
27:01And I'm gonna have merch. So we gonna turn this day into a day of resilient. You know what I'm
27:08saying?
27:08We gonna show people that no matter what we can we can keep moving forward. You know what I'm saying?
27:13We gonna show that no matter how many people show up. You don't just do stuff like that.
27:19Right, right. You know what I'm saying? So I just turned it into something positive. And I just was like,
27:23you know what?
27:25Let's go for it, man. Now, can people still get tickets? Y'all sold out. What's the deal?
27:29Can people still pull up, get tickets at the door? How's that work?
27:31No, we're not sold out. And we are looking for sponsors right now. If y'all can, you know, sponsor
27:37a few dollars to help us out. No, no tickets have been so we're not sold out. But we can
27:43we are charging $20 at the door.
27:46Okay, that's it, you know, adults age only. And we ready, you know, please come in that thing, y'all.
27:55We need the love. We need the support. We got turned down a little bit, you know, that kind of
28:00messed with my spirit, because we was doing everything. And I wasn't even gonna charge Miss Patrice. You know what
28:05I'm saying? Nothing. We did all these t shirts. And I just said, you know what, if I if two
28:11people come, I'm fine. I'm just not gonna walk away from, you know, I'm saying this.
28:15So, okay, so tickets at the door. Can they get them online? Get them beforehand? Like, what do people got
28:22to do so they can pull up? Where is it gonna be at? Also, okay, yeah, you can get you
28:27just pay $20 at the door. We have no tickets, no hassle, none of that. Okay, I'll just show up.
28:33Just pull up. Yeah, and have yourself a good time. And then it's that Skateland and Mount Morris are on
28:42door highway outside of Flint. So
