Bernie Rayno breaks down where tropical development could be possible as we approach the middle of June.
Transcript
00:00Keep an eye on the Gulf as we head into late next week for the possibility of development.
00:05Now, we're already seeing a lot of showers and thunderstorms, Latin America and the Gulf.
00:10We're not expecting any development over the next week.
00:13But history tells us these are the areas to keep an eye on for development during the month of June
00:20where you get homegrown development.
00:22And late next week, 12th, 13th into the 15th, here's the setup.
00:30We're going to be watching energy and moisture coming northward from Central America
00:35and it'll be steered northward into the Gulf.
00:38Now, as we head into late next weekend, anywhere from the 13th to the 16th,
00:43we have a little dip in the jet stream coming in across the Central Gulf Coast states.
00:47The combination of jet energy, warm water and lowering wind shear tells us
00:52if we get any tropical development, that's where we could see it again about a week to 10 days from
00:59now.
01:00It's perfect for us?
