03:29Hello, Penny.
03:45Hi, everyone.
03:47Hello, Penny.
03:50What brings you, Colin?
03:52This.
03:53My purse.
03:54You must have forgotten to put it back in your bag
03:56after you bought your shopping yesterday.
03:58What am I like? I'm always forgetting to do something.
04:01Thank you, Penny.
04:06Oh, isn't that cute?
04:10It is, isn't it?
04:11My friend Jenny sent it to me.
04:14It's a souvenir from my trip to London when I went to see her.
04:16A souvenir?
04:17Yeah. Oh, that's a nice thing to have.
04:20It is, isn't it?
04:21I was thinking I should send her something too
04:23so she could remember her holiday in Balamori.
04:26Well, we've lots of postcards in the shop
04:28with pictures of Balamori on the front.
04:30Oh, postcards are good.
04:31But I was trying to find something a little more special.
04:35Hmm.
04:35Like what?
04:37I don't know.
04:39I'm terrible at picking presents, Penny.
04:41Me too.
04:42I always ask Susie to buy mine.
04:45She's got an eye for a good gift.
04:47Has she?
04:48In that case, do you think she'll be able to pick something out for my friend?
04:52Oh, yeah.
04:53I don't see why not.
04:54I'll ask her as soon as I get back to the shop.
04:56Oh, would you, Penny?
04:57That'd be great.
04:58OK, then.
04:59Bye.
05:00Bye.
05:02So, I wonder which coloured house Penny will visit first today.
05:13Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
05:18Well, it's part of the story in Balamori.
05:22Which is the house for me?
05:25Is it orange?
05:26Is it red?
05:27Or should we go to the blue house instead?
05:30Yellow, green?
05:32White or pink?
05:33Tell me, what do you think?
05:36Orange house.
05:37Yellow, red.
05:39Blue house.
05:41Green house.
05:43Green house.
05:44White house.
05:44White house.
05:45Tell me, what do you think?
05:53Which coloured house are we going to?
05:56Tell me, what do you think?
06:07Yes, it's the red house.
06:09Because that's where I live.
06:17Hi, Susie, I'm back.
06:19Oh, I didn't think you'd be back so soon, Poppet.
06:23So, I see.
06:25I only had the one.
06:28And that's all you've time for.
06:29I've got a job for you.
06:31A job?
06:32Yeah, Miss Hooley needs to find a present to send to her friend.
06:35Oh, I'm good at finding presents.
06:38We've got bubble baths.
06:40And tennis bats.
06:42And chocolates.
06:44Oh, and funny masks.
06:47And, oh, skipping ropes, yes.
06:51Skipping ropes.
06:53To-do, to-do.
06:54But have we any souvenirs of Balamori?
06:58Souvenirs.
07:00Souvenirs.
07:01Aha.
07:03How about a picture postcard?
07:06No postcards.
07:08Miss Hooley says she wants something a little more special.
07:11What have we got that's special?
07:14Uh, now let's see here.
07:17Um, oh, spring rings and things.
07:24Oh, how about a tin of biscuits?
07:28Yeah, but they're not really souvenirs, are they?
07:32No, I don't suppose they are.
07:34I know.
07:35I'll go into the storeroom and see if I can find one.
07:38Okay.
07:42And up, two, three, four, and up, two, three, four.
07:46And stop jogging.
07:48Breathe.
07:50And relax.
07:53Oh, Penny, could you help me, please?
07:55Are you stuck?
07:56Huh?
07:57Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
07:59Actually, I want to get something for my friend that lives in Wales.
08:03A present?
08:04Yes.
08:05She visited Balamori a few weeks ago,
08:07and I promised to get her something to remind her of her trip.
08:10You mean a souvenir?
08:12A souvenir.
08:13Yes, that's exactly what I want.
08:16Sorry, Josie, with no souvenirs.
08:19Oh.
08:22Oh, yes, we have.
08:24Huh?
08:29What do you think?
08:30Of what?
08:32Our Balamori souvenir plate.
08:34That's not a souvenir plate.
08:36There's nothing on it.
08:37A souvenir plate normally has a picture painted on it.
08:41Josie's right, Susie.
08:42That's not a souvenir plate.
08:44But it was made right here in Balamori.
08:48It's a Balamori plate.
08:50Are you sure you don't want one, Josie?
08:53Um, no, thanks, Susie.
08:54I'll go and look somewhere else.
08:56Oh, no, no, don't do that.
08:58Come back this afternoon,
08:59and I'm sure we can find you a Balamori souvenir plate by then.
09:04Oh, all right then.
09:06I'll see you later.
09:07Bye.
09:08Bye.
09:11Where are we going to get souvenir plates from?
09:14I don't know.
09:15I thought maybe you would know somewhere.
09:18No.
09:19Oh, no.
09:20What we're going to do?
09:22Where are we going to find a Balamori souvenir plate by then?
09:29Why don't we make our own?
09:31We have the plate.
09:32We just need somebody to paint it.
09:35Who?
09:36Of course.
09:38Why don't we call Spencer?
09:46I'm Spencer, that's my name.
09:48Painting and music, all my things.
09:51So many colors, so much fun.
09:53Making friends with everyone.
09:59Climbing up a musical ladder.
10:02Brushing and I just can't stop.
10:04It's so bright.
10:05Make your little eyes go bop.
10:07Got to tell her what you like.
10:09On the back of my painter's bike.
10:11Who knows who we might meet.
10:13Riding down this rainbow street.
10:20Climbing up a musical ladder.
10:22Brushing and I just can't stop.
10:24It's so bright.
10:26Shining in the sunshine.
10:27Everyone's a special friend of mine.
10:29So much fun.
10:30Make your little eyes go bop.
10:40I got tamarines, cymbals and castanets.
10:43Rockets and marimmons and a clarinet.
10:45Really doesn't matter what you've got.
10:47You can make music from an old baby.
10:54Climbing up a musical ladder.
10:56Brushing and I just can't stop.
10:58It's so bright.
11:00Down there by the seaside.
11:01Pretty ass picture.
11:02Come home, take a ride.
11:03It's so much fun.
11:04Make your little eyes go bop.
11:26Morning, all.
11:26Oh, thanks for coming so quickly, Spencer.
11:30You see, we need your help.
11:31Help?
11:31So what's the story in Balamori?
11:33Well, Miss Hooley wants to send a special gift to her friend in London, but she doesn't know what.
11:44Susie had lots of gift ideas, but none of the gifts were really souvenirs of Balamori.
11:50Which is what Miss Hooley really wants.
11:56So when Josie Jump came looking for a souvenir tube, we just knew we needed help to find them something
12:03special.
12:05Susie found a plate made right here in Balamori.
12:09The only trouble is that it's white and needs some serious jazzing up.
12:19Well, that's where I come in.
12:21Yes.
12:22We thought maybe you could paint a picture on it to remind Josie's friend of her trip to Balamori.
12:27Hang on a minute.
12:28Yes, I thought Spencer could paint a picture on this plate to remind Miss Hooley's friend about her trip to
12:33Balamori.
12:34But I promised Josie the plate.
12:36And I promised Miss Hooley that you'd find her friend a present.
12:40No.
12:43Oh, no.
12:45I'm afraid no one's going to paint anything on that plate.
12:47Oh, no.
12:49What are we going to do now?
12:50Don't worry.
12:51I may not be able to fix your plate, but I think I can fix your problem.
12:54You can?
12:55Help.
12:56Peter the Potter.
12:58Peter the Potter?
13:00Yes, Peter the Potter who made that plate.
13:02So I'm sure he can make you two new plates.
13:04One for Josie.
13:05And one for Miss Hooley.
13:07Sure, why not?
13:09Why don't we buy more than two plates?
13:11Why don't we buy ten or twenty so that we can sell them to anybody else that wants a souvenir
13:16of their trip to Balamori?
13:18Whoa.
13:19If you're going to want me to paint more than two plates, then you're going to have to give me
13:22some help.
13:22Well, I can't paint.
13:24Me neither.
13:25That's okay.
13:25You know, I guess I could ask the children at the nursery to help me out.
13:29Oh, that's a bob idea, Spencer.
13:31I'll get over there right away.
13:32See ya.
13:33See ya.
13:33Good luck.
13:36Well, I better get this mess cleared up.
13:49Hey, Peter.
13:49Hi, Spencer.
13:50Good to see ya.
13:51Good to see ya.
13:52Hey, listen.
13:53A big favor to ask.
13:54Could you make me a few plates just like the ones over there behind you?
13:56Hey, no problem.
13:58I'll just cut this off and do it right now.
14:00Okay, great.
14:01Thanks.
14:01Wow, that looks really cool.
14:06Get messy, huh?
14:24You know, I've never seen a plate made right from the start.
14:33How's that, Spencer?
14:34That is brilliant.
14:36Excellent.
14:37You know, these are going to make great souvenirs.
14:40And I can't wait for the children to paint them.
14:46A plate for Miss Hoolie's friend, Jenny, and a plate for Josie's friend, Shan.
14:51And the rest we can sell in the shop.
14:54Now, all I have to do is get these plates painted with pictures of Balamori.
14:58See ya.
14:59Bye.
15:01Hey, guys.
15:02Let's go.
15:03Whee.
15:04Here we go.
15:08Hey, guys.
15:09I've got an idea.
15:11Let's paint a picture of Balamori's Beach for a souvenir.
15:15Yeah?
15:15Yeah, let's get painting.
15:22All right.
15:23Let's get these plates out.
15:24There you go.
15:26And there you go.
15:27And, David, here you go.
15:28Now, your brush.
15:32Your brush.
15:34Now, we're going to paint the seashore.
15:36So, let's do it, you guys.
15:37Remember the boat?
15:38We're going to do that.
15:39So, I'm going to do one, too.
15:40See how good we do.
15:41Okay.
15:42So, let's get painting.
15:44Let's do it.
15:47Let's do it.
15:49Let's do it.
16:09Yeah.
16:10I'm trying to make sand.
16:12I'll put that red on there.
16:14Mix it right in.
16:16Great.
16:19Excuse me.
16:20Oh, it'll be okay.
16:21Oh, it'll be okay.
16:25Oh, this is great.
16:27We have so many great souvenirs from Balamori.
16:31Let's give a few opinions, Susie.
16:32What do you say, guys?
16:33Yeah?
16:34Yeah.
16:35All right.
16:54All right.
16:55I asked Penny if she could think of a gift I could send my friend Jenny to remind her of
17:00our holiday in Balamori.
17:03There were no souvenirs in the shop, so Susie thought of a few other things to give her, but they
17:08weren't really souvenirs of Balamori.
17:12Penny then had an idea to paint a colourful picture of Balamori on a plate, to make it a souvenir
17:18plate.
17:20Spencer agreed to paint the picture, but Susie and Penny smashed the plate before Spencer could paint it.
17:28Then it was Spencer's turn to have a bright idea.
17:31He went to his friend Peter the Potter and asked him to make some more plates for him and the
17:36children to paint.
17:41In fact, I liked it so much, I bought one for myself.
17:47So that's two souvenirs I have now.
17:49One of my trip to London and one of a lovely day in Balamori.
17:53I'll just pop these safely into the cupboard.
18:02So, that was the story in Balamori today.
18:06See you next time.
18:20Balamori, Balamori.
