04:17Hello children
04:19What brings you out on a cool day look today?
04:22Well
04:23It's
04:24George
04:25George?
04:26There aren't any children at the nursery today called George
04:29George
04:30Oh no, George isn't a boy
04:31He's a guinea pig
04:33Oh
04:33And there aren't any of those either
04:36Apart from this one
04:38Does George look like this?
04:39Yes
04:40I'm looking after him while my Uncle Martin is away on holiday
04:42Oh
04:43That sounds like fun
04:45Yes
04:46He lives in the hutch and sleeps in straw like this
04:50He must be as snug as a bug in a rug in there
04:52What does he eat?
04:53Oh
04:54I was hoping you might be able to tell me that Miss Hooley
04:56Let's see what the book says
05:00Oh it says here that guinea pigs love to eat vegetables like carrots, celery, cucumber and lettuce
05:12You don't happen to have any of these things growing in the nursery garden do you Miss Hooley?
05:16I'm afraid I don't Archie
05:19But I'll bet Pennypocket and Susie's suite have everything you need in their shop
05:22That's a great idea, I'll give that right away
05:25George is probably very hungry by now
05:27Oh Archie, do you think you could bring George back to the nursery later?
05:31After he's eaten
05:31I'm sure the children would love to see him
05:34Of course Miss Hooley
05:35I'm sure George would love it too
05:38Bye bye
05:38Bye
05:43So, which coloured house do you think Archie will visit first today?
05:53Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
05:59Well there's part of the story in Palomorias which is the house for me?
06:05Is it yellow? Is it pink? Is it orange?
06:09What do you think?
06:11What do you think? Is it red, green, blue or white?
06:13Which coloured house do you think is white?
06:16Yellow house? Orange house? Blue, pink or white?
06:22Green house? Red house? Which do you think is white?

06:56Oh good morning Archie
06:57Hello Archie
06:59So was the straw we sold you alright?
07:02Oh yes, it was great. Still got lots left, see?

07:11What does he eat?
07:13Er, carrots

09:52I'm PC Plum
09:54And I tell you what I've done

11:21PC Plum
11:22Here's your handbag
11:25PC Plum
11:48Here's your handbag
11:51PC Plum
11:52I popped into the nursery this morning
11:54To see Miss Hooley
11:54As I went past
11:56Asked if she knew what guinea pigs like to eat
11:59She told me they eat carrots, celery, cucumber and lettuce
12:04So I bought some from Pennypocket and Susie's sweet shop for George's dinner
12:07They had everything I needed and one or two things I didn't
12:11So I packed everything into my bag and came home to find George's missing
12:17I've looked everywhere but I just can't find him
12:19I don't know where he is, do you?
12:22Well, I'll certainly help you try to find him Archie
12:24Now, I think the first thing we have to do is retrace your steps
12:28What did you buy when you went to Penny and Susie's shop?
12:31Why, do you want to know that?
12:33Clues Archie, clues turn up in the most unexpected of places
12:36Right, okay, well, er...
12:40Or carrot?
12:41Oh, now, my first clue
12:44See, a crunched carrot
12:47Did you buy anything else at Penny and Susie's?
12:50Oh, yes
12:51Or lettuce
12:53Go for them
12:56Interesting
12:57It appears that both the carrot and the lettuce have been nibbled
13:03Nibbled?
13:04Well, it wasn't me, I've only just taken them out of the bag
13:06Hmm, both from your bag
13:09The mystery deepens
13:12What are you thinking, plumbers?
13:14I think it's time we have a look through your bag
13:16Maybe we will find a clue that will lead us to George
13:20Oh, what was that?
13:21Well, it wasn't me
13:23I think it could be the carrot cruncher
13:25You mean the lettuce nibble?
13:26The one and the same
13:27Now
13:33Oh, what do we have here?
13:35Oh, look
13:36Oh
13:38Hello
13:38It's George
13:41Hello, pleased to meet you, George
13:42Oh, he must have crept into my bag while I was cleaning out his cage this morning
13:46You'll have to keep a closer eye on George from now on
13:49Pets have to be kept in proper pet carriers and not in bags
13:53I will
13:58Now we've got Archie here and he's brought us a very special friend of his
14:03He's brought us a visitor to the nursery today
14:05So, over to Archie
14:07Well, hello everybody, this is George
14:11George is a guinea pig who belongs to my Uncle Martin
14:14He's two years old, would you all like to say hello to George?
14:17Hello
14:18Hello George
14:21George is saying hello back to you all in guinea pig speak
14:24Wow, he likes to eat all sorts of healthy things which you like there
14:28All the things in that little bowl there's like carrots and lettuce and celery and all of these sorts of
14:33things
14:33You see?
14:34Now George lives in this box here, does anyone know what this is called?
14:36A hutch
14:37Hutch
14:37It is indeed called a hutch
14:39Is that his little bed?
14:41Is that his little bed?
14:42Is that his bed?
14:42Yes, right?
14:43That's where this one, little George sleep
14:45Does anyone want to come and stoop George, maybe?
14:47Oh, we will, okay
14:48We'll come one at a time, we don't want to scare him
14:50Yeah, just one at a time, you go down that way, Peter
14:52Cause he's just small, isn't he?
14:55He might get a wee bit of a skier, mightn't he?
14:56Yeah, very gentle
14:58Aww
14:59It's very soft, though
15:02Anyone else like to come and stoop through?
15:13Well done, well done
15:15There we go
15:17Well, you liked that, didn't you, George?
15:24What do you imagine, though?
15:26George likes to drink
15:28Water
15:29Exactly, that's exactly
15:30And there's a bit of water there for George, you see
15:32when he gets thirsty, how are we able to have some water?
15:34Does he like tea?
15:36Does he like tea?
15:37I don't know, I've never given him tea.
15:40I'm not sure it might be a bit too hot for him.
15:42We'll say a big thank you to Archie.
15:45Thanks, Archie!
15:47And we'll say thanks to George as well.
15:49Thanks, George!
15:51Would everybody like to maybe draw a picture of George?
15:54Yeah!
15:57So get a good look at him so you remember what he looks like
15:59and then we'll go over to the drawing table
16:01and we can maybe give these pictures to Archie
16:03to put up in his house right then.
16:07I think he probably needs to go back and...
16:09You can get a wee look at him, I'll help you if you like.
16:14Do you want to...
16:18Is that him inside his hutch?
16:21That's lovely, isn't it?
16:24Yeah, it's lovely.
16:26What was that again? Carrots?
16:28He likes carrots?
16:29But only a little bit.
16:32There is me drinking a cup of tea.
16:34And you can flack it over.
16:35There's one, George.
16:36Ah, gee.
16:37I don't want to join your picture, though, Lydia.
16:41Look at all these pictures, George.
16:43They're all of you.
16:44There you go.
16:46Look at these.
16:46There's a picture of your hutch, George.
16:48Don't break.
16:48Mommy and you'll finish his pictures.
16:49There's a picture of me.
16:50Well, I have to say, these pictures are all fantastic.
16:53And George is especially pleased.
16:55He's never had so many pictures of him drawing one day.
17:03So, what was the story in Bala Mori today?
17:10Well...
17:13Archie came into the nursery to see if we knew what guinea pigs like to eat.
17:17Our pet book said they liked all kinds of vegetables, such as carrots and lettuce.
17:23So, off he went to Penny and Susie's shop where he bought some celery, cucumber, lettuce and
17:28a carrot for George's dinner.
17:30But when Archie arrived home, George wasn't in his hutch.
17:34He disappeared.
17:37Archie searched everywhere for him but nothing.
17:41PC Plum arrived and soon found clues, which led him to George, who'd been safe and warm
17:47in Archie's bag all along.
17:50Archie brought George to the nursery and the children loved seeing him.
17:54They even drew him pictures for his bedroom wall.
18:00So, that was the story in Bala Mori.
18:08I wonder if I'll still leave my scarf for going outside.
18:14See you next time.
18:16Bye!
