03:47And finally
03:47By me
03:50Thanks Susie
03:51I'll need to remember and tell that story to PC Plum
03:53Next time he pops in for a cuppa
03:56You know Susie
03:57You're a natural born storyteller
03:59Do you think so?
04:00Oh, what's that doing in there?
04:03It was meant for wee Timmy Grogan's birthday
04:07Never mind, I'll pop it in later
04:08Oh, I bet you've got some good stories about aeroplanes eh Susie?
04:12I wish I had
04:14I've only ever been on trains and boats and buses
04:19I wonder what it's like to fly in a plane
04:23High up among the clouds
04:28I'm sure wee Timmy will have great fun with that
04:33I know
04:34If you really want to know what it's like to fly
04:36Why don't you go and ask Edie McCready?
04:39She's mad on travel
04:40I'm sure she'll know all about flying
04:43Now that's a good idea
04:45I'll pop over and ask her all about it
04:47And the children are going to be telling each other stories later
04:50So why don't you pop back and tell them all about flying?
04:53I'll do that Miss Hooley
04:56Bye
04:58Bye
04:59Bye Susie
05:00So, I wonder which coloured house Susie will visit first today
05:11Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
05:17Well this part of the story in Balamori
05:20Asks which is the house for me?
05:23Is it orange, is it blue?
05:26Which coloured house are we going to?
05:29Green, red, white, yellow or pink?

06:00Tell me, what do you think?
06:03It's the blue house
06:07Yes, it's the blue house
06:10Because that's where Edie McCready lives
06:17Hello Edie
06:18Oh, hello Susie, what a nice surprise
06:21So, what's the story in Balamori?
06:24Well I was hoping that you would help me out
06:27Oh, I'd love to
06:28You see, I want to tell the children in the nursery a story
06:32Oh, well that should be fun
06:34Oh, you have a story for everything
06:37This is a story about flying
06:40Oh, good choice
06:42But I've never been up in an aeroplane
06:44I just wanted to know what it's like
06:45Well, you've come to the right girl
06:48Oh, I love flying
06:50Oh, so you'll tell me all about it?
06:52I'll do better than that
06:55I'll show you
06:56Oh!
06:58Now
07:03You sit down here
07:05Yes
07:06Right
07:06And, er
07:09There, ma
07:10Er, er
07:13Oh, there they are
07:15Right
07:17Now
07:21What are these?
07:23Oh, these come in very handy on long flights
07:26Now, you just follow everything I do
07:29And I'll show you what it's like to be a passenger on an aeroplane
07:34Now, first you put your earmuffs on
07:38To block out any noise
07:41And then
07:43You put your eye mask on
07:48To, er
07:50To block out any light
07:52And last but not least
07:55I
07:57Settle back in my seat
07:59And
08:01Relax
08:05Comfy?
08:07Very comfy
08:08Good
08:16Good
08:25Now what happens?
08:28Oh
08:30Usually I just
08:31Drift off to sleep
08:35And then
08:36When I wake up
08:37We've landed
08:40It's fabulous
08:41It's as if
08:42You've never even left the ground
08:44Wow
08:45How exciting
08:47Well, that'll make a great story for the children
08:50Oh, good
08:51I cannot wait to tell Penny
08:53Bye
08:55Bye, Susie
09:08Hello, Penny
09:09Hello, Susie
09:12What's all your excitement?
09:14Well, Miss Hooley has asked me to tell the children
09:17A story about what it's like to fly
09:20But you don't know anything about flying
09:22You've never been up in a plane in your life
09:25I know
09:25But Edie McCready has
09:27And she's just told me all about it
09:30How she
09:31Puts on her earmuffs
09:32And
09:33Puts on her eye mask
09:36And then she
09:37She snuggles down in her seat
09:39And falls asleep
09:42It's like she's hardly even left the ground
09:46Hardly even left the ground?
09:48And that's the story you're going to tell the children?
09:51Yes, what's wrong with it?
09:52Well, it's not very interesting, is it?
09:55What do you mean?
09:56I mean, you need a more exciting story
10:00You need to tell them how it feels
10:03As the plane hurtles down the runway and takes off
10:07How it soars up high above the clouds
10:10Flying over oceans and mountains
10:13To land in places far from home
10:16Places hot and sunny instead of cold and rainy
10:21You're right
10:22That's much more exciting
10:24I can almost hear the roar of the engine
10:28That's the idea
10:30Oh dear
10:32I still have to find somebody who can make flying sound exciting
10:38Not easy, that's for sure
10:40Oh
10:44I know
10:45I know
10:46Josie Jump
10:48She makes everything sound exciting
10:51I'll call on Josie
10:57Josie Jump is my name
11:01Dancing and sport are my games
11:05I'm always feeling rhythm
11:07It jingles in my toes
11:09It tingles through my body

11:13Everybody try kicking
11:14Everybody try bouncing
11:16Everybody try throwing
11:18Everybody try jumping
11:20Everybody try jumping
11:22Sometimes I get the feeling
11:23I want to jump up high
11:25I've got to keep on running
11:27So far I think I'll fly
11:29Everybody jump up a little higher
11:32With your hands
11:34Jump up a little higher
11:36Score a goal
11:37Everybody try kicking
11:39Everybody try bouncing

11:43Everybody try jumping
11:54Jump up a little higher
11:56With your hands

12:23it tingles through my body, come on and have a go.
12:37Hello Josie, oh, hi Susie, just warming up with some spring cleaning, oh, so what's the story in Balamori?
12:49Well it's like this, while I was making my deliveries to the nursery this morning, Miss Hooley asked me if
13:01I would tell the children a story about flying, trouble is, I've never been in a plane, but Edie McCready
13:11has, so I went to see her, she told me all about her flying experiences.
13:19Which she mostly spent asleep, when I told Penny, she said I'd have to come up with a much more
13:28interesting story, but I can't think of one, so I wondered if you could help me.
13:38So you want an exciting story, huh?
13:41Yes, I want the children to feel just what it's like to fly, to soar high into the sky.
13:51Oh, there's nothing like flying among the clouds, hmm.
13:56Hey, I've got an idea, what about telling the children what it's like to be a plane, not just a
14:02flying one.
14:03What it's like to be a plane.
14:06Sure, here, I'll show you.
14:10Airplanes, aeroplanes, aeroplanes, all in a row, aeroplanes, aeroplanes, ready to go, now they're beginning to buzz and to hum.
14:25Oh, engines are working, so come along, come.
14:31Now we are flying up into the sky, faster, faster, oh, and so high.
14:42That was great, Susie.
14:43I think you're ready now.
14:45Ready for what?
14:46Ready to tell the children at the nursery about flying.
14:51Oh, me?
14:52I'd just get into a muddle.
14:54Oh, not if I help out with the movements.
14:56We can both do the song together.
14:59OK, Josie, why not?
15:03Let's go.
15:04Let's go.
15:14Hi there, Susie.
15:15Hi, Josie.
15:16Hi, Miss Nilly.
15:17So, did you learn what it's like to fly in a plane?
15:20I learned more than that.
15:22I learned what it's like to fly like a plane.
15:25That's much more fun.
15:26I'll just go and tell the children you're here.
15:29OK, everyone, we've got a special surprise for you.
15:32We've got Josie Jump and Susie Sweek here.
15:35Now, children, we're going to show you how to fly like a plane.
15:40Listen to the words and watch what Josie does.
15:45Aeroplates, aeroplates, all in a row.
15:49Aeroplates, aeroplates, ready to go.
15:53Now they're beginning to burst and to hum.
15:59Engines are working, so come along, come.
16:05Now we are flying up into the sky, faster, faster, oh, ever so high.
16:15Aeroplates, aeroplates, all in a row.
16:19Aeroplates, aeroplates, ready to go.
16:23Now they're beginning to buzz and to hum.
16:30Engines are working, so come along, come.
16:35Now we are flying up into the sky.
16:39Faster! Faster! Oh, ever so high!
16:46Hey! Well done, everyone!
16:51What a great way to see what it's like to fly through the sky!
17:03So, what was the story in Balamori today?
17:12Well, when I asked Susie Sweet to tell a story about flying, it turned out she'd never been on a
17:18plane.
17:21Edie tried to help out by telling Susie what it was like for her to fly on a plane, but
17:26it didn't sound very exciting.
17:30Josie Jump came to the rescue with a much better idea.
17:34She made up a song and an aeroplane routine that was sure to entertain everyone.
17:41Susie and Josie came to the nursery to perform the song.
17:46Everyone joined in and flew around and around the nursery.
17:54So, that was the story in Balamori.
18:02I wonder if I'll still leave my scarf for going outside.
18:08See you next time. Bye!
