02:15because it's one of the most insane tracks to drive.
02:17So when you get to live here,

02:22it's one of the best feelings you can imagine.

03:50because it was reminiscent of that from Canada.

03:53And I think the difficulty for these drivers
03:55and teams and engines,
03:56obviously, you know, we've spoke so much,
03:58we've got a full new car here this year, you know.
04:01So they need to understand it.
04:04If you've got a problem,
04:05we could say, this is what caused it.
04:07This is how we fix it.
04:08This is how we protect from it.
04:10That's a bit easier to understand for a driver
04:12and get your head around.
04:13If there's something we go,
04:14we don't know what the problem was.
04:15We don't know how to stop it happening again.
04:18That's a lot more of a worry.
04:20But even without that, without the issues,
04:24McLaren look a little bit on the back fat
04:25compared to the Ferrari in particular.
04:27So not only do they have to get on top of the reliability,
04:30they have to get on top of how they can get,
04:33give their driver the option of being on pole here,
04:36putting that lap together.
04:37A premature end to the session as well
04:39for your old friend and colleague, Sergio Perez.
04:41Alarming scenes from the cockpit for him,
04:44seeing the flames on his brakes.
04:46I mean, you know, and actually at one point,
04:48it didn't look like he could get out of the car.

04:52You've seen the crafty pickup on the smoke coming into the cockpit
04:55and that's initially, as Checo called it,
04:58he said a lot of smoke in the cockpit.
04:59You know, his engineer came on and said,

05:03Thankfully, you know,
05:05Checo's wealth of experience there said,
05:07no, this isn't coming back.
05:08This needs to stop on track now
05:09and he'll know the situation,
05:11what they have spares.
05:13And so you need to stop it.
05:14Of course, you lose some of the session,
05:16but there's very little of the session left.
05:18About five minutes.
05:18And it saves the car.
05:19So he did the right thing, I think, in that situation.
05:23But again, something for them to get on top of.
05:24Why did that brake fire happen?
05:26Why was it not seen in data?
05:28How did they prevent it happening going forward?
05:30But I think the right things from Checo there
05:32to get the car stopped.

06:11That's what you want, you know.
06:12And the drivers are told in this session,
06:14build up to it.
06:16Slowly increase your braking zone.
06:18Slowly increase how you're doing it at each of the corners.
06:21Try and get, eek the lap time out gradually.
06:24And that's what Lewis is doing.
06:25He's gotten to the end of the P2 session.
06:27He's kissed the wall.
06:28He knows, right, okay.
06:29That is, that's a mark in the sand.

07:26The Ferrari chassis is good in low speed.
07:28So it's still anyone's to get here, you know.
07:32It's about getting that lap together.
07:33It's about the driver.
07:34He can get everything out of the car.
07:35With Mercedes are a strong team.
07:37They'll do the work overnight
07:38and they will get that car turned around, no doubt.
