00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic Church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
02:23And I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is
03:03in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for us, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:16The second book of Chronicles, chapter 19.
04:21When King Jehoshaphat of Judah returned safely home to Jerusalem,
04:26the prophet Jehu, son of Hanani, confronted him.
04:30And he said to King Jehoshaphat,
04:33Is it right to help the wicked, and to be an ally of those who oppose the Lord?
04:40Because you have done this, the Lord is angry with you.
04:44Nevertheless, you have done some good things.
04:47You removed the Asherah poles from the land, and you were determined to follow the Lord.
04:55Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem.
04:57He went out among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim,
05:02and encouraged them to follow the Lord God of their ancestors.
05:06He appointed churches throughout the land, and in each of the fortified cities of Judah,
05:13telling them,
05:14Be careful what you do, for you are not judging for men, but for the Lord,
05:19who will be with you when you make judicial decisions.
05:23Respect the Lord, and make careful decisions,
05:27for the Lord our God disapproves of injustice, partiality, and bribery.
05:37In Jerusalem, Jehoshaphat appointed some Levites,
05:41priests, and Israelite family leaders to judge on behalf of the Lord,
05:45and to settle disputes amongst the residents of Jerusalem.
05:50He commanded them,
05:52Carry out your duties with respect for the Lord,
05:56with honesty and with pure motives.
05:59Whenever your countrymen who live in the cities bring a case before you,
06:04whether it involves a violent crime or other matters related to the law,
06:09commandments, rules, and regulations,
06:12warn them that they must not sin against the Lord.
06:16If you fail to do so,
06:18God will be angry with you and your colleagues,
06:21but if you obey,
06:22you will be free of guilt.
06:26You will report to Amariah,
06:29the chief priest,
06:30in all matters relating to the Lord's law,
06:34and to Zebediah,
06:36son of Ishmael,
06:37the leader of the family of Judah,
06:40in all matters relating to the king.
06:44The Levites will serve as officials before you.
06:49Confidently carry out your duties.
06:52And may the Lord be with those who do well.
06:56This is the word of the Lord.
06:59Thanks be to God.

07:26and with heaven is among the cross.
07:30Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?
07:36O who shall rise up in his holy place?
07:42Even he that hath clean hands and a pure heart,
07:49and that hath no strength of his mind and humanity,
07:54no sworn to deceive his name,
07:57he shall receive the blessing from the Lord,
08:04and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

22:09The Gospel according to Saint John, chapter 16.
22:16I have told you all these things, so that you will not fall away.
22:20They will throw you out of the synagogue, and yet a time is coming when the one who kills you
22:26will think he is offering service to God.
22:30They will do these things, because they have not known the Father or me.
22:34But I have told you these things, so that when their time comes, you will remember that I told you
22:41about them.
22:44I did not tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
22:48But now that I am going to the one who sent me, and not one of you has asked me,
22:53where are you going?
22:56Instead, your hearts are filled with sadness, because I have said these things to you.
23:02But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away.
23:07For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you.
23:12But if I go, I will send him to you.
23:16When he comes, he will prove the world wrong, concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment.
23:23Concerning sin, because they do not believe in me.
23:27Concerning righteousness, because I am going to the Father, and you will see me no longer.
23:33Concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.
23:41I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
23:48When he, the Spirit of Truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth.
23:54For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what
24:00is to come.
24:02He will glorify me, because he will receive from me what is mine, and will tell it to you.
24:11Everything that the Father has is mine.
24:14That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what is mine, and will tell it to you.
24:22This is the word of the Lord.
24:25Thanks be to God.
24:32Collect for Peace
24:35O God, who is the author of peace, and lover of concord,
24:40in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life,
24:43whose service is perfect freedom,
24:46defend us, your humble servants,
24:48in all assaults of our enemies,
24:51that we, surely trusting in your defence,
24:55may not fear the power of any adversaries.
24:58Through the might of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
25:02Amen.
25:06Collect for our safe preservation.
25:10O Lord, our Heavenly Father,
25:12almighty and everlasting God,
25:14who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day,
25:18defend us in the same with your mighty power,
25:21and grant that this day we fall into no sin,
25:26neither run into any kind of danger,
25:29but that all our doings may be ordered
25:32by your governance,
25:35to do always that which is righteous in your sight.
25:42Lord, let me accept calmly all that this day might bring me,
25:51and let me devote myself completely to your sacred will.
25:57Direct me and help me each hour of this day.
26:01Control my thoughts and feelings in all my deeds and words.
26:06When unpredictable circumstances arise,
26:09do not let me forget that everything comes from you.
26:14Lord Jesus, Son of God,
26:17it is better not to live than to live without you.
26:21I thank you, God, for the gift of this new day,
26:25and for all the good deeds you will help me do today.
26:30Holy Spirit, help me to dedicate this day
26:34to my Lord and Saviour.
26:37Teach me to be just toward my brother and sister,
26:41never to provoke wrath or cause sorrow.
26:45Control my will and teach me to pray,
26:49to believe, to hope, to suffer,
26:52to forgive and to love.
26:55Amen.
27:00We pray for the work of your faithful servants
27:03throughout the world, Lord.
27:06Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
27:12May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
27:15the love of God,
27:17and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
27:20be with us all today and forevermore.
27:23Amen.
