00:09Let's start with this weekend, and particularly on Sunday,
00:12the Mets coming off of a 10-1 victory over the Marlins.
00:16Look, the Mets did what they had to do. They swept the Marlins.
00:18They finally get a sweep here. They have won four games in a row.
00:23That matches the season high in terms of wins in a row.
00:26So, Wardy, how are you feeling about this, or are you a little bit like me?
00:31And I will definitely explain more of my feelings later, where it's like,
00:34okay, this is cool, but you got to show me some more. Where are you on this?
00:39I mean, definitely the latter. I don't think it could be anything but that, right?
00:43I mean, listen, it's great to see the Mets win four straight ballgames
00:46after initially starting to dig themselves out of that hole a week-plus ago,
00:49entering that previous road trip. They were six games below .500.
00:52Then they split that four-game set in D.C., sadly.
00:55Then they could absolutely decimate in Miami against these same Marlins
00:58that fast-forward a couple series later, and the Mets handled them without a problem.
01:02So, whether it's the factor of being at home, now having won nine of their past 12 games
01:06at home, or now having, you know, at least somewhat of a gap above .500
01:10in the month of May at 16-12 to conclude the month,
01:13Mets have a gauntlet coming here in the month of June.
01:15They do not play one single team that's below .500 on record currently
01:18until the first week of July.
01:21So, what type of task is this going to be for the New York Mets?
01:23It very well can be daunting, and we're going to find out if they're more in the June swoon
01:27or a joyful June like 2024.
01:29But how I'm feeling right now, again, going to the top, Dexter, is that, you know,
01:33I'm cautiously optimistic.
01:34This is nice to see, but please, I am begging you, we're all begging you,
01:37anyone that has a care and interest or love, let alone a fandom in this New York Mets team
01:42to please give us a reason to want to lock in this summer
01:46because we were talking not even a full week ago
01:48on why every fan has every right to do the exact opposite.
