01:16um front in all of these races but when he needed one the most here in tricky conditions where maybe
01:21one or two lines out on track hopefully that improves as the day goes on as the race goes on
01:25hurlings who was 15th over the line he's still there in the 15th we get the intermediate sector
01:30into that right-hander where we've just been a moment ago to see and he's already up to ninth
01:33place massive gains for hurlings on the opening lap and he has to dig deep massively deep here
01:38he is coming into view now down here on that single yeah almost like he's just shoved up the
01:42inside there are no ludwig or maybe even jonas on the kawasaki yeah join us ahead of him at the
01:47top
01:47of the hill there ah yes that was probably ludwig then maybe so we work our way in the opposite
01:51direction here's all eyes on the battle here kunan yeah that's it that was the corner where tim fell
01:57in warm-up this morning he certainly did look in pain but he's uh forgetting that now and chasing
02:01after lucas yeah the adrenaline buzz the gate drop and the crowd around here and racing in general
02:09will do that too yeah but uh yeah guys are picking himself up after that fall in the warm-up
02:13session today business as usual back to business if you like oh yes he didn't it didn't look like
02:19much of a fall but you can just see the pain in him it was like wow but then i
02:22i watched to see make
02:24sure he came around the following lap he did he shook it off and carried on and was still quick
02:28in the
02:28warm-up so yeah he's trying to chase down lucas kunan now he's got that buffer fernandez adama before
02:33fervor comes along and ferrato this time has held on to a decent start which is much better than he
02:37did yesterday working our way towards the end of our first lap then because obviously finish line
02:42to finish line we will get that this time around lucas kunan just trying to control things at the
02:48moment one point eight seconds clear of geyser more movement there possibly four hurlings as we work
02:55away here's uh renault trying to go around the outside of ferrato thought about it then cuts back
03:00to the inside he's going to surprise the italian as they hit the line here kunan geyser fernandez
03:05adamo fevere ferrato six renault in seven but leaning on the italian almost into the back of the
03:11kawasaki rider as well thought about a two for there but he just had to make way for one and
03:15that was
03:16ferrato hurlings blasting around the outside as well going past jonas not quite now jonas cars about
03:26there and that's uh not good news for jeffrey lucas is escaping as we speak body language there for
03:31kind of wolf had to stretch it out in that 10th place night place actually or is he still there
03:37in 10th yeah this uh hurlings just made a mistake there in the background
03:42just coming into view here there there he is yeah
03:46didn't look like he lost the pace though still ahead of lander at the moment to wolf there at the
03:49fastest set to time of this lap nobody has quite as loud body english as the wolf body language there
03:55and
03:56that distinctive yamaha tone of a panic ramp there from maxim renault as he goes after roman
04:01fair for the two french is at it again here fifth and six the kawasaki rider holding that inside
04:06line stands up on the pegs delicately lifts that leg to uh avoid those high banks there through those
04:12deep ruts as he continues to hold on to that fifth position kunin isu leads away set the fastest lap
04:18last time around on that opening lap having clear track 206.9 no one else close 207.2 but uh
04:24look at
04:25dwarf he's fastest in sector one fernandez fastest in sector two so there's still a lot of uh jostling for
04:30position here in the early stages of this first mxgp race this is the first three here on screen kunan
04:36not able to break free from geyser who in turn not able to break free from uh fernandez either who's
04:42making a move around the outside of slovenia yeah two purple sectors for fernandez who's the fastest
04:46of anybody in sector two and three and that is shown by how close he is now to the factory
04:50yamaha of
04:51tim geyser so fernandez is working on a good set of pace here not a bad mudman and actually that
04:56kind of
04:56pace that he's showing now had geyser not found his way past it in that very corner a moment ago
05:01never
05:01know he might have been all over the back of lucas kunin and challenge him for an early lead
05:05in this first mxgp race but it's geyser who responds with the fastest lap quickly eclipsed by
05:10fernandez they go 2053 2051 2046 for the honda hrc patronus rider here number 70 ruben fernandez in third
05:20hurlings has found his way past jonas so too is dwarf so eight nine for dwarf and hurlings jonas down
05:25to ten renault has found his way past ferrato as he moves up in the sixth place yeah and they
05:29are
05:29queuing up slightly behind ferrato as well with hurlings and jonas making the way forward and yeah
05:35for sure ferrato losing places again yeah this is uh dwarf all over the back of uh ferrato this is
05:42for
05:42seventh place as they hit that monster energy step down on the new part of the circuit heading up into
05:47turn
05:4710 end of that first sector from finish line to the entry point there look how sticky it is they're
05:51only really using that inside line and uh even dwarf there just getting offline as he was hanging off
05:57the back of his motorcycle throw those deep uphill ruts so unpredictable this racetrack at the moment
06:02yeah it's been carved up from the mx2 class and now the mxgp guys have inherited that even though the
06:07track crew have clearly worked on several segments there's only so much they can do in the small break
06:11between mx2 and mxgp just looking down the leaderboard there 17th place for the number four we briefly
06:15showed him behind the gate uh the number four of rick elzing as the dutch like to call him but
06:20as it's a bit of a mouthful rick elzinger in 17th position in his first points actually at the
06:26moment so yeah benry ktm must be pleased with that yeah and uh elsinger of course i like l rick
06:32zinger myself i think that's the best name for him but yeah for sure couldn't trying to stretch out
06:36that lead at the front 1.6 not quite dropping guys so yet it's going to be cat and mouse
06:41between these two
06:42we know how tough this place is to pass on but kunan has a track position but fernandez fastest
06:47lap last time around and he's quick at this second this final sector of the track paul he seems to
06:50close in on guys around here hurling still not able to do anything about de wolf at the moment and
06:54likewise de wolf not able to do anything about ferrato certainly by the last intermediate sector but then
06:59heaven said that here we go ah de wolf losing massive ground there to ferrato as he tried to take
07:04that
07:04outside it's the long way round anyway so you are always on a hiding to nothing but he just made
07:09his own
07:09mistake ferrato hanging on for a little bit longer the gap back to hurlings nearly four seconds so
07:15hurlings having an issue or two and off the track here for kai de wolf as he hits the line
07:24there that's
07:24cost him a massive amount of time because ferrato in seven de wolf in eight now two seconds he lost
07:29in
07:29that little exchange almost to the old track there the first step the start straight used to go right
07:34down to where we were and then left right back onto the finish line jump so uh having a little
07:39bit of memory loss there kai de wolf yeah temporarily i think he was following it gordon crockhardt's uh
07:43tire prints from 2001 down there but uh yeah to wolf and what surprises me is that despite that uh
07:48mistake there hurlings still not past uh past the wolf in fact still three seconds back of him as he
07:53passed
07:54the line there was something heading up into that corner before the monster energy jump a couple of
07:57laps ago when we said hurlings has lost ground yeah and i just wonder whether he caught something there or
08:02you know or whatever you know what i mean the sector time was two or three seconds off the rest
08:06of them
08:07so he definitely made a mistake on that one and he's not able to advance so i don't know if
08:10he uh
08:11has just got a niggle or or or whatever else but you know not applying himself at the moment not
08:17aggressive enough to sort of push forward is there is a bullet at this stage that's music to the ears
08:22of lucas kun has there been a change for third that looks like fernandez behind adamo now yes
08:27adamo has moved up there paul yeah domo just here coming into view red bull ktm on that
08:34third place machine he makes a mistake himself there he's bringing roman fevere with him and what
08:38fernandez here he muscles him right up the inside i tell you what el toro absolutely ruthless there
08:45he did not need a rag ball there oh red rag just absolutely wiped the floor with adamo you never
08:51saw it
08:51coming nor did we adamo picking himself up losing a handful of positions in that
08:56tell you what that came from out of nowhere yeah he got it squarely and fernandez filled the gap the
09:02rider who was voted the most likely to be a mixed martial artist uh and they voted around the paddock
09:06when lisa did their social media stuff and uh yeah ruben absolutely merciless there
09:13roman fevere working his way towards the end of lap four
09:20still in that was he fourth position still isn't he because uh fernandez third there he is
09:25roman fevere would have the best seat in the house there thinking you know what there's a quick reminder
09:30not to mess with the spaniard especially there anyway here's maxim renault he's in fifth place
09:36ferrato six to wolf seven hurlings eight adamo from third to nine after being shunted out of the way
09:42by the the big man that is ruben fernandez yeah for sure there's a couple of big men up in
09:47the front
09:47here with ferrato up there in sixth place as well and of course yeah dwarf and herlings would have
09:51taken advantage of that here we are watch this here just already full committed some of that was 50 50
09:56because adamo wasn't clean getting out of that corner and he was almost expecting it fair play for
10:02ruben fernandez there keeping himself stood up on two wheels roman fevere the best seat in the house
10:08and he was glad to be in that seat as well because if he was in adamo seat could have
10:12been him could
10:12have been him on his ear yeah absolutely and uh able just just uh far enough away to be able
10:17to
10:17negotiate the incident without hitting any of them so yeah fevere got away with one there and now he's
10:21closing in on the spaniard trying to get up to third just keeping an eye on hurling's lap times here
10:25he's
10:26205s the same as lucas couldn't so whatever his issue is he's now lapping the same time as lucas
10:32coonan so maybe there was just something where he just felt a little bit out of sorts for a couple
10:36laps maybe caught himself nicked himself somewhere like that here's the wolf he's in seventh hurling's
10:41behind him and the stan has farna rider just struggling with these ruts at the moment we've
10:46already seen him go off track just on the run towards the finish line when he was chasing down ferrato
10:52but he is doing a good job here of sort of trying to make amends and go back after the
10:57italian
10:58yeah ferrato was very trusting in the corner by pit lane just before uh de wolf ran wide there
11:02because he took the second on the going into the corner from the inside to wolf to the inside wasn't
11:07able to take advantage and then he tried to go around the outside of alberto not likely you're
11:11going to do that because he's a wide boy and then out goes uh to wolf onto the grass just
11:15looking at
11:15the intermediate sectors there de wolf and hurlings uh de wolf 31-5 hurlings 32-0 then
11:2033-5 32-4 27 so back and forth between those two no one really putting in a clean lap
11:25apart from lucas
11:26coonan who just completes lap five for the fastest lap of the race 204.2 geyser was within two tenths
11:32of him but fernandez again despite sort of uh getting rid of um andrea adamo a moment ago he
11:38has gone a couple of tenths a couple of hundreds quicker setting the fastest lap on lap five as well
11:42so
11:44good charge this for reuben fernandez for about a second slower but i don't think he's in too much of
11:50a hurry at the moment i think roman febvre is in the kind of frame of mind just to sit
11:53there and say
11:54let the track come to me let's push in the last 10 minutes and see how we go all of
11:57a sudden all eyes
11:59on the battle for the lead here lucas coonan has been caught by tim geyser montserrati yamaha rider
12:06here now all over the back of the red bull ktm and actually despite his own injuries from a week
12:11ago
12:12tim geyser has looked good in time practice good in qualifying a faller in the warm-up session this
12:17morning but it hasn't done anything to deter him and he believes he can get his second race one of
12:20the year yeah there's no doubt about that and looking at the times there paul i mean he went
12:25fastest of all and then suddenly that was uh superseded by febvre so yeah the track is uh as
12:30it was in mx2 getting drier giving more grip and the laptops are going to come down i think through
12:34this
12:34race and uh it's down to the riders now to pick out where the grip is and how quick they
12:38can uh
12:38suddenly pick up time guys are just getting hung up there coming out of that inside line as he goes
12:42after kunan gap was 1.4 at the last split we'll get another split as we get the other side
12:47of liquid
12:47molly mountain here into this turn we're going down to a pit lane with lisa to talk to michaeli
12:53lavetti the team manager at monster energy yamaha factory mxgp the gap 1.6 seconds between kunan and
12:59geyser but it looks like geyser is very much in control of that second as he pushes for a potential
13:04race
13:04swim michaeli lavetti i know in france it was a difficult weekend for tim geyser and the team
13:11but tim is definitely bouncing back this weekend he's looking good out there have you made any
13:16changes to the bike or anything between last weekend and today yeah of course we do a lot of testing
13:26inside with rd and all the guys involved
13:28uh timmy take a little bit rest because it was a huge crash in france so but we keep working
13:37inside
13:38and with rd close by and we do quite a lot this weekend yeah we improve the start and looks
13:48like
13:49timmy feel it feel good on the bike it's not like you can imagine 100 percent but yeah it's not
13:58too bad
13:58certainly not 100 we saw in the warm-up that he had an off uh when he was doing the
14:02warm-up
14:03how was he after that did he tell you how he was feeling in the warm-up he came off
14:07his bike
14:07yeah i was uh was okay yeah i was just make a small small crash it was okay that's no
14:15no problem
14:16good luck to the team thank you just as we went down to pit lane and they've got the riders
14:22over the
14:23line there lucas coon and then all of a sudden found his way uh over the line with uh 203
14:27six four four fastest lap of the race two tenths quicker than guys so the gap going out to 2
14:31.3
14:31seconds but uh river fernandez now has lost ground on these guys because he's 9.9 let's call it 10
14:36seconds then we've got fevre renault ferrato uh dwarf here and then hurlings 4.3 seconds further back
14:42very unlikely this from jeffrey hurling so we've got to assume he's got some kind of issue can't
14:48speculate because if you say it's a technical and it's not it looks bad and if you say it's an
14:52injury and
14:52it's not is that it just might be the conditions of the track so uh either way maybe not bringing
14:57his a game into this race ben rumble yeah we interviewed jeffrey for behind the gate here
15:01a couple of years ago is when we actually uh followed him as we tend to focus on one team
15:05at
15:05a time and we focused on jeffrey and uh yeah he was very vocal about his feelings with this circuit
15:10of
15:10course he's had his fair share of wins of course four of them around here hesitate because the wolf makes
15:16a
15:16move ferrato just holds on and dwarf is going to have to go the long way around here and then
15:22he
15:22tries to switch back because the bank marker right in his line of sight ferrato hanging on to that six
15:26for now the wolf will kick back to the inside here ferrato will know that he's there as well
15:32two lines merge into one no way through for the uh the dutchman what's the bet he won't take the
15:37outside line this time yeah ferrato definitely proving to be uh stubborn in uh holding off the wolf but
15:44yeah jeffrey of course he's had the problems here the track over this very jump he collided after
15:48the race had finished really with prado of course and then of course that injury uh that curtailed his
15:532023 campaign so pretty certainly he's not going to push the envelope too much on this circuit jeffrey
15:59perhaps one that he's going to survive when he goes to latvia a track that he's completely owned
16:03throughout his career so yeah it might be a case of lose this weekend to make sure he survives for
16:08next one
16:08yeah exactly yes sorry but then i was gonna say oh hurlings is out of the race so there was
16:15a
16:16problem for jeffrey hurlings and that is going to be massive in the team in the uh the championship
16:20because all of a sudden he's going to be what 20 points down on uh lucas coonan yeah more because
16:26as the wolf goes up the inside of ferrato here so two big things on lap eight hurlings out of
16:31the race
16:32and losing 25 points potentially to lucas coonan who is leading race number one here and kyda will
16:39finally get himself up into sixth position with that move on albie ferrato as he now thinks about
16:44going after maxima low but the significance of that could be huge jeffrey hurlings it was very early
16:50on maybe lap one where we saw him lose a couple of seconds in one sector and then wasn't able
16:55to make
16:55it up so clearly riding with an issue we still don't know what it is whether it's personal or technical
17:01but walking away disconsolately that means that jeffrey hurlings will not be standing on the
17:06podium here this weekend in germany yeah and walking back through pit lane so maybe it might have been
17:11attended because that means he would have pulled off the circuit into pit lane and then walking back
17:15away with his uh his partner there consoling him so yeah not great for earnings obviously he's had two
17:20podiums in two years here so maybe now it's come back around this weird torch and tell curse he has
17:25as uh yeah we see there under a pot of cause he looking like he's in trouble getting uh locked
17:29already by
17:29reuben fernandez fernandez putting it a good right there paul yeah bonacorsi down in what 33rd place
17:35the rebel ducati rider not having a great right where's his teammate actually number 10 calvin
17:39belandran he's there in 10th place
17:45so on the week that uh jeremy siwa left the team with immediate effect calvin belandran picking up the
17:51the mantle and trying to shine a bright light there for the team yeah but of course he did have
17:56his best
17:57uh qualifying off the season yet on that ducati and ninth yesterday but uh yeah so far maybe involved in
18:02that first corner incident there were a few riders down on that first corner so perhaps the uh the lanky
18:06italian uh was uh on the floor as one of those guys but uh let's put him at the back
18:10and he'll keep
18:11going but uh at the moment not looking like points are on the table yeah roman february here in fourth
18:14place maxima no about two and a half seconds further back in fifth the wolf is up to six with
18:18that move
18:19on ferrato and then we've got adamo in eight jonas nine calvin belandran in 10. but uh how expensive
18:27will that be for jeffrey hurling's late on in the season we do not know because obviously there are so
18:32many twists and turns and the season of mxgp is like a roller coaster at times everyone has their
18:38ups their downs and jeffrey hurling's having one of those here it's not his first dnf remember he
18:45didn't finish in race one nor two did lucas kunin in switzerland that pesky corner that left-hander that
18:50kept whipping off chains in the uh in the aftermath you know obviously when you think about that and
18:56obviously that was the first one this one here could be even more costly well so far it's been kind
19:01of
19:01even on dns because yeah lucas and jeffrey there but also uh you've had dns there for tim and tom
19:06last weekend you know geyser and vial both uh missing out there and of course february crashed
19:09out in the first race and the second race in spain so yeah they've all had their zero dnf but
19:14now
19:15jeffrey has got another one and now yeah it's looking like well he was three points back it's now looking
19:20at 28 so that is a monstrous gap there more than a race win already i wonder how soon the
19:25pit board went out
19:26to lucas kunin and say hurlings out and whether that was music to the ears of the belgian i'm sure
19:31it was but he also still knows he's got a job to do here because we do have as you
19:35can see a tricky
19:36racetrack we had rain at the start of the day just before the emx 250 european championship second race
19:42of their weekend and it was race conditions were perfect then we had that rain heavy rain turned it
19:50into a bit of a quagmire lots of deep ruts we had about 45 minutes to an hour to get
19:54the track in
19:55good condition before mx2 race one which our track crew have done amazingly well to be able to do that
20:00but obviously as a result of that race we've got ruts hanging around for there as well so this is
20:07the
20:07circuit that we've got it's drying out all the time this is kunin just behind the back marker there
20:11getting offline that's how easy it is to make a mistake anybody can make them and uh kunin just
20:18lucky to get away with that one he's got two and a half seconds now over geyser who continues to
20:23push
20:23on in second position just under 10 minutes to go plus two laps kunin with the fastest lap 203 644
20:29let's take a look at how this uh start this race started and it was lucas kunin over on the
20:38gate
20:39number two that controlled the inside line ruben fernandez alongside him albi ferrato in there as well
20:47hurlings was buried in around about 15th place as he came out of his first turn quickly got his way
20:52up to ninth on the first lap but then he had an issue and he was trying to ride around
20:56that issue
20:56whatever it was but on what lap eight he went out and uh he will not score in mxgp race
21:05one
21:06roman and most like one of the riders uh coming in this weekend as a bit of a wild card
21:09he's up to 12th
21:10found his way past the german noah ludwig as lucas kunin just starts to not say dance his way around
21:18this racetrack or settle into this because he can't really afford to relax can you look that gap is
21:23down to 1.6 and back markers may determine this ben rumbold yeah absolutely the lat riders could be a
21:28serious factor here as we see fevere trying to close in on fernandez still there but yeah he cannot shake
21:34it him guys so for sure he might have got that pit board saying the 84 was out he might
21:38have allowed
21:38himself a microsecond of a thin little smile in his head but then he knows that the uh well to
21:43follow
21:43his own advice to his brother uh that yeah you've got to have maximum concentration in ruts and conditions
21:48like this and that's for sure he's going to be playing on the mind of lucas kunin as he tries
21:51to
21:51tiptoe his way around the town vessel here's fevere looking to make his way towards the end of lap 10
21:56as
21:57he continues to chase down ruben fernandez the honda third kawasaki of fevere fourth renault is in fifth
22:02he set his best lap last time around with a 205 06 8 it's a 206 7 this time around
22:07uh dwarf also setting
22:09a personal best on lap 10 as he looks to go after the frenchman the former mx2 world champion so

22:17know when we lined up behind the gate for the first round this year ben tim geisser roman fair for
22:23a
22:23maximum kind of wolf andrea adamo paul's jonas jeffrey hurlings of course and iago kitt uh am i
22:30missing anybody out eight world champions 18 world titles between them yeah but uh yeah you're right
22:42and um yeah an insanely stacked field for 2026 and uh yeah it's proven to be the case that sometimes
22:49that
22:49some people get a stronger days than others and that's how it's looking at the moment but
22:53ironically it's the one that isn't the world champion that's leading the way right now
22:56red plate on the bike and is the guy who has actually won more races than anybody else across
23:01all of the classes in the last two years on his way to consecutive silver medals in both mx2 and
23:06then
23:06mxgp lucas kunin we talk about the uh the the champions being one of the worst days and lucas kunin's
23:12worst days have been worse than other people's worst days if you see what i mean those have been the
23:17ones
23:17that have uh have been the worst there so yeah 28 points down the margin uh between kunan and hurlings
23:22if it stays like this of course lucas still has to finish we all still have to get through the
23:25remaining six and a half minutes plus two laps but for sure lucas he's trying to hold off his mate

23:30geyser and it's just gone quicker again three three point two seconds the gap uh it's looking good
23:35enduro is the sign for lucas q that's about sums it up
23:4411 laps complete lucas kunin red bull ktm factory racing three seconds clear of tim geyser on the
23:50monster energy yamaha kunan who has been pretty stand out so far this year got a double race win
23:57in in spain round two he got another one in switzerland race two banged in another couple of
24:01race wins in italy sardinia and then he got one in france last week he's eyeing up race win number
24:06seven for the season he got a race win here last year as well he traded wins and seconds with
24:12jeffrey
24:12hurlings but it was hurlings who came away with the overall grand prix victory he's also made his fair
24:17share of uh problems here hasn't he remember he was leading or he was on his way to potential one
24:21one
24:22yeah and uh handed the victory to his then teammate well to uh liam evans at that time yeah that
24:27was
24:28supposed to be his first grand prix victory wasn't it yeah the first win the way in clear needed to
24:31again there's the example of the concentration required and then of course yeah the double win
24:35in 2024 qualifying win and nearly uh a 1-1 last year but of course yeah just picked off by
24:41jeffrey uh in
24:42through the tram lines last year but uh no such troubles for him now because the bullet is out and
24:47uh yeah
24:47this is looking like serious cashing in just like his brother did and uh yeah incredible to see here for
24:52lucas
24:53because uh yeah this is one this this this could really be a big big day for him coming through
24:59here
24:59good to see fernandez still up there in third ruben himself having a great record at this track as
25:03well although well not a great one because he's actually he missed he got injured before the main
25:07races last year missed most of uh sunday uh out injured in 24 but he has scored a podium and
25:13a
25:13fourth place in the two gps he's been able to complete at this track so fernandez on the quiet
25:17quite an expert around this circuit and uh yeah it's good to see him up there in third place holding
25:21off fervor at the moment not really getting any hassle from the frenchman now rider who's like
25:25trying to plug away maxime renault he just put in the fastest sector time in sector one at the moment
25:3030.4 compared that to february's 31.2 okay still got some work to do the gap is still 2
25:36.2 seconds
25:37between them but look how close it is here between fernandez and february almost into the back of
25:43the honda man there as they came over liquid molly mountain just at the base of it but uh fernandez
25:47is he just running out of steam here because roman february as we said earlier on in the broadcast
25:52this is the kind of race where february will just let the track come to him such as the experience
25:56underneath that helmet of his and that's exactly what he's done he hasn't rushed he's ridden the
26:00track respect to the track and now here he is vying for a top three yeah i think i spoke
26:04too soon
26:05there because just i was just as i was picking him up uh reuben fernandez makes a mistake and nearly
26:09has a kawasaki jacket over the big jump there and i think that's renault right behind them isn't it paul
26:14that seems to be the yamaha man catching them both yeah down to one point once all of a sudden
26:18fernandez february and renault now we've got a six-wheeler here for the third position with just over
26:23three and a half minutes plus two and renault eyeing up roman february once again
26:32the gruts here are relentless as you get out of that turn there used to be some waves through
26:37there you used to drop over that first one there's to be three four waves through the corners that's
26:41part of the track has had little modifications here and there those waves oh tim geyser here
26:47does he just stall the motorcycle yes he does hits the uh east start there over the right hand side
26:52so
26:52that cost him a little bit of time look at the gap now 7.2 seconds between kunan and geyser
26:56and that gives
26:58breathing space for kunan from here on out to the end of the race and the checkered flag yeah that
27:02takes the pressure off slightly for lucas kunan but uh he will still have to maintain maximum
27:06concentration i very much doubt that there'll be any change in the mindset whatsoever but yeah
27:10he knows that uh well he's not he's not got high heart rate has he and de wolf is there
27:14so it's
27:14an eight-wheeler now paul wow this is crazy stuff going on here and again there's little treacherous
27:19ruts could catch out these riders fernandez they're just running wider than most other riders is that
27:24that was that intentional or was that a mistake well i'll tell you what maximum getting up onto
27:29that plateau roman fevere didn't and it it gave him another three or four bite lengths he's now
27:34going to go outside here doesn't want to get caught following but he may run into the rear wheel but
27:38this time around he doesn't fevere over on the right hand side renault on the left as they hit
27:44liquid molly mountain kai de wolf just behind them in seventh place in sixth place
27:50but both the two french riders here actually i like how that turn two has really started to open
27:55out as it's dried out now so i think the addition of the sand has really done this circuit a
27:59world of
27:59good because if that was the old clay circuit it might have just been tram lines all the way through
28:04there so uh good effort from the msc toy chantal club here this weekend well i tell you what kai

28:10wolf all over the rear end almost tried to ride rough shot there with maxim renault yeah had a good
28:16run
28:16out of that rut into wolf really drove to the back wheel of but he almost had to back off
28:20the throttle
28:20slightly as a result so that probably actually cost him time in the end but uh fevere looks vulnerable
28:24here to me renault focused aggressive goes for the move around the outside maxim renault and he's gonna
28:30run fevere to the outside in the next corner as well fevere comes back oh and he tips him he
28:36runs into the
28:36rear wheel renault was aggressive as he went around the outside picked off that inside line and all of a
28:42sudden fevere just catches uh the rot off guard there we'll get a replay of that but fevere out of
28:48fourth place there was so much going on in those couple of corners but you can see the intensity
28:54of uh maxim renault kai de wolf just behind them will be saying cheers i don't mind if i do
28:58but look
28:59at this he can't get into neutral can't get his motorcycle fired up an expensive mistake for roman
29:04fevere he won the qualifying race to pull back a couple of points zero there and we were hoping that
29:08this weekend he would get his championship back on track because he was what 53 points off of second
29:1355 off the lead that is going to be costly and he stalls the motorcycle there as well
29:19disaster assist for roman fevere as he tries to rejoin the race what did you say earlier paul you
29:24can't race this track and he just tried to race just a little bit too hard in the wrong place
29:29couldn't uh bide his time the patient tried to go for the move back on renault instantly because track
29:34position is so key but yeah just it was not there for him was it we'll bring you the replay
29:38as and
29:39when we have it because obviously it all started from over the finish line jump into that next left
29:44over the dragon's back and then the right where it all happened still he's still there that is
29:49heartbreaking for roman fevere just trying to sort of uh it looks like when he's hitting the electric
29:55start there it just wants to sort of go a little bit there but so he's just trying to push
29:59it along there
29:59a moment ago so that fires up and he can move and run with it at the same time just
30:04like this look
30:04there he goes anyway eventually he gets up and running but he's down in at least 14th position
30:09he was looking so good a potential third maybe fourth fifth if fevere renault found his way past
30:16yeah and how good is this lucas kunin then both second and third coming to this championship
30:20while obviously having big troubles there and tim geys are now moving past fevere in the championship if
30:24it finishes like this as well and actually we just need all that to update as well in terms of
30:29points
30:29because when fevere does get over the line we'll get a truer picture of how things do look but with
30:3414 laps to go lucas kunin now 7.7 seconds clear of tim geyser geyser surely thinking about just picking
30:40up second place with a potential eye on the top step of the podium with a good result in race
30:45two
30:45kunin likewise will be wary of what's going on behind if he feels that geyser has backed off he might
30:51just
30:51back off so this was fair fevere looking to get around the outside of maxima no he then cut back
30:57tried to
30:58rush back end gets one side of the road he's all squirrely and then just buries the front end
31:03there doesn't catch the motorcycle of renault but it was just over exuberance and he rushed that inside
31:09line roman fevere rider error for the number one it's almost like it was a little bit drier than
31:14he thought he got a little bit more grip than he thought and then it escaped him didn't it paul
31:17so
31:17yeah this is the problem there for fevere there just a little bit of impatience and renault absolutely
31:21laughing in fourth place at the moment but he has got company de wolfe is still right there ferrata with
31:26a great
31:26sixth place i think pretty sure that's about a season's best for him and it actually got two
31:30fanatics in the top 10 6th and 9th at the moment with van donick putting in one of his best
31:33rides
31:34of the year ahead of van de mosleit the two fans doing well maxim renault's turn to struggle here
31:38because all of a sudden kaida wolf has found his way onto the rear of the amaha rider so the
31:43nastanas
31:43now looking to go to the inside he's aggressive through here got to be careful on the exit he knows
31:48that
31:48so he was literally just up onto the plateau this is renault here isn't it just a back marker there
31:58yeah to wolf getting very close to that rider up on the pegs and then he opts for that outside
32:03where
32:03it's a little bit wider renault gets a back marker between himself and de wolfe the back marker does go
32:09to the outside there yes ben watson yeah and uh he is 21st position lined up as a wild card
32:17rider this
32:18weekend he's not an oat rider so officially approved team rider down past pit lane renault defensive
32:24de wolfe will try to cut back here if he can not able to though scrub the bank with the
32:29front end
32:29there cost him some time on the way in two to go this one is not done between renault and
32:35de wolfe either
32:37yeah anybody questioning the uh the the wild card theory there of course the officially approved
32:41teams list you've got to go overseas to be on that dirt store triumph not committing to the
32:45overseas races they're doing all the other europeans there's still often that he loses it in that
32:48fevra corner uh so yeah that's why watson's class isn't as a non-oat rider but uh yeah he's still
32:53in
32:53there he's not far off the points and in fact uh yeah it's looking like uh he might have a
32:58chance of
32:58that iago hits in the points in 19th place jan pence are just behind him in 20th place rick elzinger
33:04in 16th just behind roman fevra fevra losing 10 places as a result of that mistake going from fifth
33:09which is where he was 215 as a result of it yeah and he's 10 seconds back from ludwig so
33:14he's got an
33:15awful lot of ground to carry uh to carry back to get any further progress than that with just two
33:18laps
33:19to go kind of wolf desperate on that nastanas vana doesn't want to follow but in some places he has
33:25to
33:25because of the nature of the ground how it has dried out and look look here either left or right
33:29you're not
33:29really going to go through the middle there but this outside does open up this corner at the top of
33:33the
33:33makes it not as tight yeah the drone shot of the the liquid again he's got to be careful here
33:40if
33:41you go straight on that might be deemed as uh course cutting don't know how else he could have
33:47he could have done that i mean you'd face with a serious wrestle to grab the bike back because
33:51he was over the bank as well yeah you know but they what would they say oh you've got to
33:54get over
33:54the bank do a ui get back on track because look where he was parked here he just came in
33:58rushes the turn
33:59again off balance already yeah off balance and then the bike just parks itself up there yeah to go
34:05down and do a ui and come back over there it's almost you can't really you know what i mean
34:09and
34:10you've lost time yeah i i think it'd be very very harsh to do any sort of penalty there because
34:14uh yeah
34:14he was in such an awful position into the final lap number five red bull ktm lucas kunan he has
34:22been
34:22absolutely inch perfect immaculate even in this first mxgp race and he goes in to what was
34:29a three point lead heading into race one he will go into race two if he brings it home here
34:3328 points
34:35clear of jeffy hurlings hurlings not able to finish the race out on maybe lap eight or nine
34:41geisser will move up to third in the championship ahead of roman fevre because of fevre's loss of
34:45ten positions when he fell so uh things moving and shaking except for this rider right here although
34:52those points moving in the right direction in terms of points gained yeah absolutely looking his fifth
34:57race win from seven starts here lucas kunan counting the sunday races only of course and yeah
35:02he's just an absolute master in these sort of conditions very very technical it's lots of
35:08lot is said about the kunas and how aggressive they are full gas pinning it to 11 and all the
35:12rest of it
35:12but they are also fantastically precise accurate technical riders tim geisser has been impressive in this
35:20race when you think of you know he was beat up after his crash a week ago in turn one
35:25race two he's
35:27wasn't even sure if he was going to ride you know lisa asked him in the uh post-race interviews
35:32yesterday after the qualifying race where he was second you know you weren't even sure if you were
35:36going to line up this week and he decided on thursday having ridden at his tigerland track
35:39and then he jumped on a on a plane came here first thing friday morning the bike was already here
35:44anyway
35:44just in case so that's how late in the day it was that tiger decided that he was going to
35:48line up so
35:48then to come away with you know time practice and second in the quality race second here at the moment
35:53in race one really goes to show what a tough competitor he is and why he is a five-time
35:58world champion
35:58yeah and you know it's always touch and go when they actually release a press release to say yes i'm
36:02going to be riding as if it's not already pretty ordained so yeah for sure he must have been feeling
36:06it
36:07lucas coonan two corners from home the red bull ktm rider grabbed this foxhole shot right at the start
36:15of the race and he has controlled it absolutely impeccably the gap 5.2 as he heads towards the
36:22checkered flag and victory in race one lucas coonan wins here once again at the talcastle
36:29tim geisser will follow him home in second about five seconds further back we wait for ruben fernandez
36:34maxime renault and kai de wolf renault now eight and a half seconds clear of de wolf so
36:40a good an impressive ride for uh ruben fernandez there picking up his third place finish for the
36:47second time this year we've got a third in race one in switzerland he gets a third here race one
36:51in
36:51germany things looking good for ruben fernandez honda hrc patronus yeah very nice ride for him and
36:59yeah the first honda hrc patronus in fact the only honda hrc patronus to finish in this one of
37:04course tom vial missing today uh due to rib injuries as kai de wolf comes across the line
37:07as well and uh yeah the top five coonan geisser fernandez renault de wolf and great to see alvi
37:13ferrato uh collect sixth place and that is uh his equal best of the year he picked up sixth in
37:19the first
37:19race in switzerland so uh yeah for sure uh the swiss the swiss form is uh carrying forward to the
37:24to the
37:25uh title castle here today but uh look at that gap now 28 points between coonan and hurlings geisser
37:30moves past fervor into third in the championship and renault is not too far behind his fellow frenchman
37:37and uh fervor losing ground on the final lap in fact he lost another position down to 17th so
37:42maybe an issue with that bike still further on through the race paul is uh yeah he's down to 16th
37:46uh
37:46sorry 16th was max speed and then 15th for elzinger and fervor finishing 17th yeah we'll do the uh the
37:53points and uh all the rest of it but uh certainly ludwig elzinger speed and actually when tim geisser was
37:58heading up into turn 12 the triple up into that left turn i thought it was clever in the background
38:02thinking no they didn't lap him did they he wasn't down that long but
