00:18Fever leads the way, as we head towards turn two, o start que ele needed, mas olha como
00:55Lidia, Ferrato e Fernandes.
00:59Going bar-to-bar.
01:01Oh, I tell you what, did he look like he got blown there?
01:04Of course, Coonan looks a bit uncomfortable in the air, goes outside,
01:09trying to work Roman Fevere on this opening lap,
01:13sweet move around the outside, didn't even get a look in did he?
01:17At the same time, Hurlix moves into 3º, passing his team mate slightly earlier in the lap this time
02:35as Lucas Coonan got him covered again
02:39both have broken free very quickly from Roman Fevre
02:43different to what Hurling's experienced in the qualifying race on Saturday
02:46when the Frenchman was all over the back of him, couldn't give him a break
02:51gap between these two, was 1.6
02:54still hovering around about 1.8 at the moment
02:56here comes Geiser as he closes in on
03:00Villal and pinches him to the inside
03:03moves into fourth place
03:04better showing for the Slovenian this time around
03:11making quick moves, Hurling, knows he's got to be aggressive as well
03:16got Roman Fevre just ahead of him on the number one, the defending champ
03:21Coonan still pulling clear though
03:23three purple sectors on this lap
03:26two seconds, the gap between him and Hurling's now already
03:30Geiser comes into land, jumping long, so too
03:34the number 16
03:37not B out but he was just a slightly heavier landing coming in to that right-hand turn
03:42oh
03:42that was close between those two as Geiser switched to the outside he was committed to
03:47to the inside, last minute Fevre decides you know I'll go right to left, protect the inside
03:53last minute change of direction for Geiser as he switched to the outside
04:01fastest lap on that opening official lap, 1.46.6 compared to 1.47.5
04:07Coonan and Hurling's respectively
04:10Coonan fastest again in sector one
04:15these two already six seven seconds behind your race leader, there's Hurling's just going by in second
04:25DeWolf, bad start for him, he's up to 13 bringing Adamo and Manamostite with him
04:28Van Donenck must have had an issue because he's now down in 16
04:31Watson up to 17
04:34as he finds his way past Spies
04:38Fevre looks like he's regrouped here, the early pace was just too much for him to
04:44try and chase at the start of the race but now he looks like he's settled down but here comes
04:48Geiser once again
04:49again he'll probably react to what Fevre does, if he goes inside he's going to chase the outside
04:54and then figure it out as he goes along from here
04:56he goes right, he'll commit left and vice versa
04:59good charges from the Slovenian
05:01he's going to have to be brave and he is, muscles his way into third
05:13the pace of Lucas Coonan is absolutely phenomenal
05:15nearly four seconds clear of Hurling's already
05:18and we're not even at the end of lap two
05:21so this is his Grand Prix to lose isn't it
05:24Tim Geiser looking more and more comfortable as this season goes on
05:28not quite on the podium at the moment because Fevre is going to be on 38, Geiser on 32
05:40and as Geiser crosses the line in third place six seconds behind Jeffrey Hurling's and about three seconds slower that
05:46lap
05:47at least is down in pit lane with Michele Lovetti the team manager for Monster Energy Yamaha factory MXG
05:53let's hear what he has to say because obviously with Max and Renault and Geiser about a busy weekend
05:58yeah Geiser he goes over the bars throws away to the position of ice
06:02Michele Lovetti we've just come to you as we saw the moment with him Geiser
06:08it looked like he was gaining momentum but things haven't gone to plan again
06:13yeah it's a bit disappointed about the situation because it was doing really well and he coming back really strong
06:23and yeah a little bit disappointed so
06:26let's just quickly let me just get the feedback from the two boys after that first race it was a
06:31tough one for the Yamahas wasn't it
06:32yeah it was a little bit tough it's a bit tough GP for us we try to to do what
06:42we can do but unfortunately we are not in the in the good day
06:47yeah thank you yeah Tim Geiser looks like he picked himself up there very awkwardly he was
06:53just maybe favoring a shoulder maybe it was just a little bit winded looks like his uh tech air
07:00went off as well watch this here everything was good to there but then watch this catches a hole
07:04and then it just comes around and slings him down the track backwards
07:10the alpine star air vest goes off as well deploys but look just
07:15probably more winded than anything else as he tried to rejoin the race currently down in 20th place
07:23hard hit for Geiser finds his way past Horgmo going back on the charge back into 19th boat
07:35knew he had to
07:38go for it if it was to challenge the leaders anyway Oriol Oliver in fifth
07:43Fernandez in six these two fighting over that
07:46fifth position and lead spaniard at the moment the gabriel ss 24 ktm factory junior rider
07:51in blue top of the hill was in 7th when he fell in race one
07:59just after half distance eventually came home in 11th place solid performance from him though
08:06as he still finds his feet in the premier class having moved up from mx2 for 2026
08:16gap between your leaders lucas coon and jeffrey hurling's 4.4 seconds
08:20hurling's responding though fastest in sector one this time around
08:2425.8 for him 26.5 for coonan an attempt quicker in sector two
08:28getting that gap back down to 4.4 we'll see what it is in sector three
08:32we'll keep an eye on it meanwhile Oriol Oliver here doing his best to fend off the hard charging
08:40terminator number 17
08:43that's ruben fernandez who fought his way to fifth position in race one
08:50looking for at least a fifth in race two if he can find his way past the number 83 ahead
08:54of him
08:56yeah four seconds further up the track boat gap between the first two still hovering around about
09:014.4 seconds
09:05tricky conditions here with the wind
09:08and as we say 4.4 it's now gone out to 5.5 because a fantastic final sector for your
09:14race leader
09:1524.4 to a 25.5 here's fevere in third
09:2113.8 seconds off the second place rider jeffrey hurling's 19.3 off of lucas cooner
09:31tom vial and roman fevere duking it out for the foxhole shot i think it went the way of
09:35vial but by the time we came out of turn two it was the frenchman who led the way in
09:40fact fevere
09:42over the stripe first this time around in race two as seaworth fell that's the first black plate for
09:48the season for roman fevere quickly got caught though didn't he by coonan and hurlings who are just
09:56running away with it at the moment coonan more so than hurlings
09:59and that will be the podium as we stand at the moment mirroring this result in race two it'll
10:09be coonan hurlings fevere on the podium 15 44 40 tom vial and kyda wolf on 32 points apiece
10:16tom vial not going anywhere yet either
10:21sitting there in fourth place in the race honda hrc petronas
10:27here's kyda wolf seven 2.6 behind fernandez
10:33having to work hard just to get up the leaderboard here in the second race
10:38fourth in race one started just inside the top ten
10:46what would a 100 percent kyda wolf do around here still says he's not 100
11:00scrubbing his way actually that dutch international race at the weekend there was a video clip that
11:05went online hurlings just jumping low kyda wolf scrubbing his way to his left in a jump that was so
11:12rutted it's hard to comprehend the physics of it the front wheel was already out of the run midway up
11:17the
11:17face of the jump and the thing was already turned and getting ready to scrub kids got sand skills
11:27injured or not
11:38and then the star has final rider that's gnarly through there isn't it the line run up to ten
11:44found his way passes red ball ducati teammate
11:50found a little line there hasn't he just a double up onto the bank
11:58that слова
11:58dwarf being told to breathe as he went past pit lane there
12:05over there yeah pick the front wheel up over that hole just in the dip
12:38Lucas Coonan
12:40yet to become a world champion
12:43who leads the way
12:44from Herlings, Bevere, Vial
12:47and Olivier
12:48in 5th place, Olivier
12:50looking at 7th overall at the moment
12:51as things stand
12:55Geisse up to 17th
12:56after his hard
12:58hit
13:00on lap 2 when he just got into 3rd
13:06taking a couple of stabs at that
13:08outside line there
13:09Caida Wharf as he closes in
13:12on Ruben Fernandes
13:13and Oriol Olivier
13:16tries to pull the panic rev
13:19on the Spaniard
13:20doesn't buy it though
13:23but he'll go the long way round here
13:25get on the back wheel
13:28no way through there either
13:33again left to right
13:36for the Husqvarna man
13:37he chucks it in
13:38goes around the outside
13:39great move
13:40doubles his way into the turn
13:41soaks it up on the landing
13:42and then wheel is through that
13:43on the next turn
13:46great riding that from DeWolf
13:48up into 6th place
13:59DeWolf now going after Olivier
14:01this will be for 5th
14:02if he gets his opportunity
14:05or maybe even when he gets his opportunity
14:06which might be
14:08through the next series of corners
14:12Olivier commits to the inside
14:14DeWolf goes to the outside
14:15gets on the gas nice and early
14:17Olivier read it well
14:20closed him off on the exit of the turn
14:23but DeWolf will charge his way down the inside
14:28Olivier knows he's there
14:30thought he was going to jump long
14:31so he went defensive
14:32maybe too defensive
14:32and that was enough
14:34for DeWolf to move into that 5th place
14:43and Adamo here fighting over 10th
14:57Calderon number 10 in 10th place
15:00Adamo number 8 in 11th
15:03Red Bull Ducati Red Bull KTM
15:08Adamo 6 in race 1
15:09sneaks up to the inside
15:11and Vellandre picks him off
15:14moves into 10th place
15:15himself
15:24looking like he's enjoying being out there at the moment
15:28number 8 in Adamo
15:34working all the way around
15:35there is nowhere to rest around here
15:38that jump looks like that's a wind catch up
15:42if you're not careful
15:43you catch the wind at the wrong moment
15:45can blow you from right to left
15:47see the movement there in the brush
15:51and the flag's absolutely on point
15:55around this racetrack
15:56so the riders will be feeling it
15:58very exposed when you're on two wheels
16:00no roll gauges
16:03proper sport
16:06meanwhile Lucas Kunin comes in to land at the end of lap 8
16:09six and a half seconds clear of Jeffy Hurlings at the moment
16:12the Red Bull KTM
16:14rider
16:15crew happy with what they see down there
16:23keep the flow going
16:266.2 seconds was the message
16:28that's the gap to Hurlings
16:32knows he doesn't need to take any unnecessary risks here
16:37unlike last year when he clipped that bank
16:39when he got drifted over to the right-hand side
16:40after winning race one
16:45I don't think the wind is blowing in any one kind of direction
16:48because we're so coastal here
16:49it's a swirling wind
16:50so he probably got blown to the right-hand side there
16:54don't want to case your deja vu do you
16:57two years in a row
17:0093
17:00Iago Kiet's being lapped again
17:0326th position
17:04for the MRT Beta Racing rider
17:10not having a great return
17:12the former MX2 winner around here
17:14here's Hurlings
17:15Honda HRC Patronus
17:26doing what he can to pick up as many points as possible
17:28still knows that with 12 and a half minutes plus two laps to go
17:32never know might get a bit of luck
17:35Kunin goes past in the background
17:38the other side of that advertising banner
17:41through the waves here
17:50keeping it short on the landing
17:53again doesn't want to take any unnecessary risks
17:55but we thought as we saw in Andalusia
18:00there would be more of a fight between those two
18:02but Kunin just finding another gear
18:04a bit more speed
18:05a bit more pace early on in the race
18:10that's been the difference
18:11he was able to break that toe immediately
18:15Feveret front end high
18:17as he comes to then
18:18comes into land in third place
18:20Fial with second wind here
18:22with just over 11 and a half minutes to go
18:23Feveret looks on helplessly
18:25as the 16
18:26tries to breeze around the outside
18:28Feveret cuts him off ruthlessly
18:30on the down ramp
18:32anything to protect that third place
18:35for now
18:38the same part of the racetrack
18:39where he collided with the Wolf in race one
18:41as he came mid-air
18:45Feveret 10 yards further down the landing
18:48switches from inside to middle
18:53absolutely ruthless
18:54savage
18:59Feveret needs to regroup
19:00breathe again
19:02watch this here
19:03they come into land
19:04Fial was ready to launch
19:06and then all of a sudden
19:06hadn't hit the brakes
19:08otherwise those two would have been a pile
19:10of bodies in strap metal in that next turn
19:23Feveret is still there for now in third
19:26Fial classification overall in this Grand Prix
19:29Grand Prix winner from Switzerland two weeks ago
19:32he's on 32
19:33so he'll move to 34
19:35Feveret will get dropped from 40 to 38
19:38but he'll still be on the podium third overall
19:49possibly the roughest
19:50most brutal we've seen these conditions here in Sardinian
19:53guys are up to 14th after his fall
19:56earlier on in the race
20:01Fial having another look at the inside
20:02of the Karasaki Racing Team
20:04MXGP rider
20:05he's not making it easy
20:08for Fial
20:09to find his way through
20:10he'll know what not to do
20:12this time around
20:13on this part of the racetrack
20:15oh Feveret tried to cover him off again
20:17commitment that from Fial
20:19didn't want to get to this point
20:20and be left hanging again
20:22like a bad high five
20:30Fial up to third
20:38so Fial going after third place here more points
20:44brings it to within eight of Herlings in the championship
20:46Lucas Koonen is going to be on 192
20:48Herlings on 178
20:49Tom Vial on 170
20:50Fevra on 160
20:58Tim Geiser on 143 in fifth place
21:01Tim Geiser on 143 in fifth place
21:18Tom Vial kind of in that mode of
21:20I ain't falling for the same trick twice
21:30got the better of him on the run into the turn that time around
21:37this one just looks like a battle for survival for Rob and Fevra this week
21:41trying
21:42you know when they say
21:43I mean he's not a bad sand rider
21:44he's a fantastic sand rider
21:48Adamo has caught
21:48a weak
21:49and weary
21:50Maxime Renault
21:51who's
21:51he said the peak of his sickness was Friday
21:53Saturday
21:54and he's now been running on empty
21:56showed in the first race when he was
21:58what
21:5912th place
22:01Adamo closing in on him here
22:02for seventh
22:04with eight minutes plus two laps to go
22:06still pretty impressive
22:08when you've got nothing left
22:09to give
22:11it's when you just
22:12rely on resilience
22:14experience and all those things
22:16that brought you to this point
22:19get your elbows out if necessary when necessary as well
22:23but even there when he came into land just looked like he didn't have the
22:26the leg strength just to support himself
22:28when he came into land everything seemed to collapse in the heat
22:31even the head had a bit of a bobblehead moment
22:34and again there look
22:37not giving up without a fight though is he
22:45Adamo
22:46trying to give him the panic
22:47rev comes in and hits the rear wheel
22:49too hot for Adamo
22:50he goes down
22:52falls out of eighth place
22:54gets all that hard work done
22:56coming
22:57unravelled
23:03Adamo out of eighth
23:09guys are getting closer to Watson
23:11they're going to be fighting over 13th place soon
23:14just under seven minutes plus two laps to go
23:17just under seven minutes plus two laps to go
23:32Has Herlings gone through or not yet, about 12 1⁄2 seconds, there's Herlings there, well, the advantage of having a
23:38massive lead, younger brother Sasha Felt in that part of the racetrack at the start of race 2, second lap,
23:46Kunin suffering a similar fate, this time around Lucas Kunin of course, did he get a swap moment, he's now
23:57got to dig in, regroup, that heart rate will be spiked through the top of that aero helmet,
24:03and Fiala's also gone missing,
24:11heart in the mouth moment, for Lucas Kunin, now he's got to pick up the pace again, just when he
24:19didn't want to, Herlings may have him in his sights here, and that will determine the Grand Prix as well,
24:26because they were 1-2 in the first race, advantage Kunin,
24:31of course, and he wins the Grand Prix, depends how cool, and how quickly the five can just regroup, refocus,
24:41put it out of his memory bank,
24:47Fiala down to sixth,
25:04still tripling his way in, so too Herlings,
25:08Oh, I tell you what, we've got a game on here, haven't we, 1.8, just as Herlings was thinking
25:13about reclining on the sofa, thinking, okay, you have it for another week, he's coming back, boxing gloves at the
25:19ready, ready to put up a fight,
25:22back markers may come into play,
25:25right, right, this is what happened a lap ago, but with Kunin, I think,
25:35didn't really see, must have just gone offline, and then just tipped over, and this was Vial from third, oh,
25:42phase plant, into turn eight, at the end of sector two,
25:50we are now in sixth,
25:53the gap was 1.8 in a moment ago, between these two, hit sector one, and it's back to 2
25:58.2, so a good recovery from Lucas Kunin, he has kept his cool, and his calm, we're going to go
26:05down to Davide de Carli,
26:07I wonder what he's thinking at the moment, one minute, it looked like it was all nice and plain sailing,
26:12bit of pressure now, but looks like he's managing it well, here's Davide de Carli.
26:18Davide de Carli, despite having a perfect weekend, there was a near miss there for Lucas Kunin, but it does
26:24seem that he's regrouped, and he's kept a cool head.
26:26Yeah, what, what a weekend, what a, what a ride, what a, what a speed also, you know, uh, yeah,
26:35from yesterday, first model before, and now he's managing to have, uh, a great speed, uh, unfortunately, he make, uh,
26:44he's making a small mistake, honestly, I didn't see what happened, but, uh, they both are pushing, and, uh, they
26:50both want to win,
26:51so, I hope he will stay in front, and, uh, try to capitalize this weekend here in, uh, Riola, it's
26:57gonna be, I, I really hope, for it.
27:00Best luck, Davide, thank you.
27:04Gap, back and forth, between 2.1 and 1.8, on that lap.
27:11De Wolf, third, fair for a fourth, here is Kai De Wolf, in that third place, he's gonna get him
27:17on the podium, and this is how he found his way, passed into the final corner, there's
27:21Roman Febvre ahead of him, just talk about commitment, he did to Febvre what Febvre did to Vial, just nudged
27:28him out of the way, different part of the racetrack, De Wolf unceremoniously moves the Frenchman wide,
27:37and he's eyeing up a podium, and knocks Febvre off of the podium, these two tying on points, 38,
27:44four, three, both of them, in favor of Kai De Wolf, Nastan Hasvana, that'll be good, he was fourth overall
27:50in Switzerland, at round three, this is round four, and if he can get his first podium, and not feeling
27:56100%, but certainly in conditions that he likes riding in,
28:00then that'll put a smile on his face as well, things heating up between these two though,
28:07that's the gap between first and second, the five of Coonan, the 84 of Hurlings,
28:141.2 now the gap, a mistake on the exit of the turn, Hurlings would have seen that, Coonan would
28:20have felt it,
28:21as he got him on the ropes, and another mistake on the exit of the turn,
28:27and again, it's just starting to fall apart for Coonan, as he goes in defense mode,
28:37you cannot take your eyes off this battle between, clearly, two of the, well, the two best sand riders in
28:43the world now,
28:47Hurlings lose a massive amount of time though, coming out of that rhythm section, turn,
28:56but just where Lucas Coonan doesn't want traffic, he's got traffic, right there in front of him,
29:02decides, you know what, I'll switch to the inside, good response, this probably helped by a slight
29:06mistake, at the same time, the gap resumes to 1.6 seconds with three laps to go,
29:15Hurlings, you just saw him pull the clutch, and oh, he jams the front wheel in that turn,
29:20tried to do the panic rep, just to get the back marker out of the way, but then as he
29:23did that,
29:24going in the turn, buries both wheels deep in the sand, might be a let-off here for the number
29:28five, but we saw how ragged he was, briefly, for a few corners in succession, on lap 15,
29:36again, 1.8, gap going back out, crucial, three laps, two and a half laps, in the outcome of this
29:45race,
29:45and the overall classification in the Grand Prix, so far, apart from that one mistake,
29:50Lucas Coonan has ridden near perfect, certainly in the first race, but he's had to dig in deep when
29:57he's been requested to, in this second race, with the threats from behind, shaking out the left hand
30:03there, I wonder if there's a little bit of arm pump, creeping in, as he puts himself under pressure,
30:08maybe, 1-1 in Andalusia, round two, looking to do the same again, untidy on the exit for Hurlings,
30:18this time around, gap one and a half seconds,
30:26we'll get another sector time coming out of this turn, both riders very cautious through there,
30:32very tricky corner, doesn't look like it, as we hit the wave section, the rhythm section,
30:36still hovering at 1.5, but it's Coonan, who is in the driving seat, as the two lap board prepares,
30:44to be thrown out, to Lucas Coonan, your race leader,
30:53Adamo just getting lapsed, stays out of the way, Adamo's obviously being down, hasn't he,
31:00that's why, in this corner here, when he caught the rear wheel,
31:06is it Oliver or, anyway, Renault wasn't it,
31:17these two riders here, Coonan, good from the finish to this side of the racetrack,
31:21Hurling slightly better on the second half of the lap,
31:272.1, back to 2.0, solid, the focus is back for Coonan, the rebel KTM rider,
31:39on course for what would be, a second double race win of the season,
31:47and he looks like it's extending again, towards the end of sector two, just here in this corner,
31:54he goes through 29.1, Hurling goes through 29.6, the gap two and a half seconds again,
32:03certainly, too much, to make up, if you're the Honda man,
32:17but this is a strange old place, isn't it, Rio Lasado,
32:27Hurling's not giving up, he's got it back to 2.3, we're talking literally,
32:30tenths here, tenths there, given or taken, between these two,
32:33two, easier to lead than to follow, or is it easier to follow than to lead, well,
32:39the same is true, you'd rather be leading with a lap to go,
32:45than chasing with a lap to go, and that's exactly what Lucas Coonan is doing here,
32:57it has been a proper dogfight, between Coonan and Hurling's this time around,
33:01Jonas getting lapped there on the 41, looks back, thinks, well, there's the leader,
33:05where's the second place, man,
33:10and the answer is, almost three seconds further back, as the back end,
33:15kicks out, just at the point of, entry into that turn, watch this here, comes into land,
33:23everything good here, and then ready, to hit the brake, as soon as that thing came
33:30back in line, just to stop it bouncing, but again, he's made another mistake there,
33:34hasn't he, because Hurling's ready to pounce, on this final lap, he may not be close enough,
33:40it's not 2.6 anymore,
33:44this is what Coonan did to Hurling's in Arnhem last year, whittled him down,
33:49we are absolutely wheel to wheel, with a third of a lap to go, back Marcus, in front,
33:54and that's Guadagnini, he looks back, less than a second, no, no, no, no, I don't want to see the
34:00mistake, let's go back to the action, Guadagnini stays out of the way, we're about four corners from home,
34:11again, Coonan digging deep, Hurling's putting in a typical late charge,
34:16a second is too much to make up, unless there's a mistake here,
34:20in the final three corners, stranger things have happened,
34:28Coonan, heading for the final corner,
34:34gets out of there, takes a checkered flag, looks back as he hits the line, goes 1-1 here,
34:41this weekend, another perfect day, for Lucas Coonan, who wins inside India,
34:49Hurling's came close, Coonan can't believe it, he went straight up, head to head,
34:56with the best sand rider in the world, but there is a new kid on the block,
35:02who can also, lay claim, to that title,
35:09Kaido Wolf, heading towards the line, he is going to be third in the race, third in the Grand Prix,
35:15exactly the same as we got in race two, Coonan Hurling's to Wolf,
35:21and that'll be a big podium, for the former mx2 world champion,
35:32Kaido Wolf, start of the weekend,
35:3910th in the championship, he leaves Sardinia, with a third overall,
35:49of the race, salutes his team over there, but he looks absolutely spent,
35:52but relief as well, at the same time, there is a race that has taken its toll,
35:58Lucas Coonan can't get enough fluid inside of him, over him, but around him,
36:05he was put to the sword,
36:12but he pulled through, when he had to, and that is a massive test as well,
36:18yeah,
36:26Lucas Coonan wins race two, from Jeffrey Hurling's, Kaido Wolf, Roma Fever and Ruben Fernandes,
36:30Maxime Renaud,
36:31vamos lá em 6ª em 6ª em 7ª Tim Geisser
36:37fights his way back to 8th what a ride that was for him when you see from the
36:41highlights how big an impact he had when he got into third at the start of the
36:45race lap one lap two to get back to 8th he found his way past Vial who was
36:519th Vallada and 10th Manamos Dyke 11 Vandonek passes Haugmo on the final lap
36:55to take 12 and then we had Watson Oliver Guadagnini Jonas Adamo Panza and Spies
37:03yeah
