00:00O que é isso?
00:32O que é isso?
01:00O que é isso?
01:01McClelland coming into view now on the number 8
01:035th is Carless Raceless
01:05and then the rest as they
01:07tiptoe around this sticky
01:09racetrack, Ben, not the easiest of
01:11conditions for MX2 Race 1
01:12No, absolutely, you can see the riders are
01:15used to having ruts to
01:17charge into, they are not there yet, it's all been
01:19scraped, it's all solid, so they're all going to this corner
01:21going, oh, where shall I go, I can't quite put the
01:23power down yet, so these ruts will form
01:24as the race progresses and that could lead to more open
01:27racing in the early laps. Yeah, and obviously
01:28when you have all these riders, there always
01:31becomes one significant line that becomes
01:33a little bit drier, Camden McClelland
01:34under pressure here from Yanis Raceless
01:36so Yanis Raceless
01:38it was the 772, it looked like it was his brother
01:41Carless there before, so obviously Yanis has made
01:42a very few, a lot of passes in the last
01:45few corners and he's now challenging
01:47McClelland and finds his
01:49way past the triumph and you know what
01:51he has absolutely nothing to lose, 6 in the championship
01:53McClelland believes he can win the championship
01:55himself and so when you've got Yanis Raceless
01:57he's saying, you know what, I don't know, I don't care
01:59I'm going to move on forward, these conditions
02:01he's now into fourth place with that pass on the number 8
02:03great bit of riding from the Latvian
02:05absolutely fantastic, really impressive
02:07he's passed Xanotz who said himself he likes the mud
02:10he's passed Farris who won in the mud here last year
02:12and his own brother, so Yanis is really on the charge here
02:14he could be a real threat for this one
02:16here is Carlos Raceless there, Simon Langenfelder
02:19Langenfelder in about 8th 9th place as he goes past the fans for the first time
02:22the wall of noise for him and him alone
02:26Julius Michele just behind him in the orange
02:28or is it Xanotz, it might be Xanotz you know
02:31Xanotz is running more dramatic colours, I think that is Michele, yeah, number 20, no doubt about it
02:36there's Xanotz behind him
02:37and then Evertz, another couple of places further back
02:40so around about 12th or 13th place
02:41there's Kai Karsmakers on the other of the Kawasaki's
02:44number 33 going by and look at Langenfelder here getting pushed back by Julius Michele
02:48Michele now on the charge into 9th place
02:51great bit of riding by the rider from Czech Republic
02:54yeah, Michele sporting a big scab down his right arm
02:56he spoke to me for the WMX race
02:58sporting the sort of hat you wore in Indonesia
03:00he was really looking relaxed
03:03Valerio Latta under pressure here in that third place
03:07on that Honda HRC Petronas machine
03:09under pressure from the 772 Monster Energy Yamaha
03:12of Yanis Raceless, quick pull of the tear off there
03:16it'll be interesting to see whether some riders even are running rolloffs or not
03:19but the problem is when it's not raining rolloffs then seem to get jammed
03:23and get stuck on the lens of the goggles because of how sticky the mud is
03:25but look how spread out this field is
03:271, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
03:29the rider in 8th place around about raceless
03:31I think just got held up in that left-hand turn a moment ago here
03:34and that's put him under pressure as Karsmakers and Michele start to close in on him
03:38on the Kawasaki and the KTM and this soft dirt
03:41oh great move that from Michele up
03:44the 33 of Karsmakers just getting held up momentarily
03:47and Michele are going through into 7th place
03:52because there's Carlos Raceless
03:55yes it must be because yeah they're both ahead of Langloffs
03:57our times have just come through
03:58yeah absolutely
04:01here's the move
04:02yeah look just getting held up through that inside
04:04couple of steps for the 33 then another mistake there and a big boggy soft patch
04:08Michele around the outside and as sweet as that he was up into 8th place
04:12another rider having a great season Julius Michele
04:15who is really enjoying being at the front and believing that he's one of the guys
04:21yeah him and Karsmakers have both steadily improved their personal best this season
04:25Michele with a fantastic 4th overall in Trentino
04:28really the next step for him is the podium and he's charging forward from an average start
04:32this is the sort of thing that he's been doing all year
04:35Camden McClellan in 5th
04:38his teammate Guillaume Perez the winner in France last time out with a 1-1
04:45how far back is he about 3 2.9 there he is as he hits the foxhole shot line now
04:50so the two triumphs line astern but it's Camden McClellan who has the advantage over his teammate
04:54Sasha Coonan would lead the championship if you put the flag out now
04:573.03 to Langenfelder's 2.95 and that's because Sasha Coonan is leading he's in a 25-point paying position
05:04Simon Langenfelder in 10th is only going to be picking up 11 points at the moment
05:08so quite a massive swing in favor of the KTM rider number 19
05:12yeah we said yesterday didn't we Paul there about Sasha Coonan going off very fast
05:16we saw purple sector and then we saw him on the floor so we've got that purple purple up and
05:20again at 2 minutes 12.8
05:22the others are 2.14 2.15 again he's pushing the pace the ruts are forming it's going to get
05:27quicker
05:27but we just pray for Sasha's sake that he's not pushing it too hard again
05:30and that is the big question mark isn't it
05:32always always I mean if you're following him you're looking for those yellow flags aren't you
05:35Camden I'm sure will be rubbing his hands
05:38772 Yanis Race is still in 4th there is Camden McClellan in 5th place on the number 8
05:43where is he in the championship he's 4th place at the moment arrived here
05:485th in the standing so is leapfrogged Liam Evert so on that same points as it stands at the moment
05:53but it's going to be Camden McClellan who will take that based on his race win that he has
05:57and the main reason for that is that Liam is down in 15th place so Liam one of the mudmasters
06:01of the MX2 class
06:02has really not had a great start and in fact he's dropped 4 places on that lap so that's got
06:06to be a little tip over surely
06:08easy to do that but normally we see Liam Evert in these kind of conditions excel up on the pegs
06:13but maybe everybody else is up to their game
06:15a lot easier when you make a good start don't want to be turning right when you should be going
06:19straight on Valerio Lata
06:20I'm sure you know that already but very easy as we said those ruts are very long they're sticky and
06:25they grab you
06:26and they pull you in like a magnet if you're not careful upper body strength coming into play there for
06:31the number 18
06:32he's responded well though Paul I mean Yanis was right on his back wheel just a few laps it goes
06:37to a lap ago and now he seems to pull the forward and his answer seems to be catching Valor
06:42yeah Valerio Lata ninth in the championship has only been close to the top three on one occasion fifth overall
06:48round three that was in Switzerland
06:49hits a horrible hole there just on that single as he goes past the back marker and does that we
06:56work our way towards the end of what is only lap three when you look at the lap time 212
07:02by Sasha Coonan yesterday the fastest lap in the qualifying race yesterday
07:09was about 149 crazy yeah it's very deep and sticky out there really treacherous conditions 52 the qualifying race yesterday
07:20so already we're a good 10 seconds off of that oh yeah 40 times to practice yeah but again purple
07:29sectors Sasha purple sectors again with a four second gap you worry you do worry I'm sure Valorio Lata would
07:36be keeping his fingers crossed in this
07:37position if you're Sasha Coonan you're sitting there with a five second advantage go
07:45and maybe even in Trentino with about a lap and a half to go we just lead him by about
07:51a week and threw it away almost he managed to sort of salvage that one though he's wondering why when
07:56he goes past his pit box they're all pressing their hands down towards the floor slow it down Sasha take
08:00it easy now as the Scousers would say calm down
08:06Sasha Coonan is in control of this race at the moment and the interesting thing is we had Lucas Coonan
08:12on studio show on Saturday here in the circuit and he was saying that from his perspective in terms of
08:18communicating with his brother Sasha says yes he makes mistakes but it's him who tries to give him that advice
08:24whether it takes on board or not but he also understands as the older brother how easy it is to
08:28make those mistakes especially when you push as hard as he does so just trying to rein
08:32him in a little bit that probably was the advice that Lucas gave him last night over dinner
08:36yeah for certain I mean both the brothers share this innate sense of needing to win incredible we've heard of
08:43somebody down I believe yeah Julius Michela he has lost a couple of positions here tagging
08:50yeah so Julius Michela down to 10th then as he picks himself back up he was in around about 8th
08:56place doesn't look like he lost an awful lot of time there Paul he seems to was there that was
09:00the 5'11 of Mr. Krug who was held up there but yeah he doesn't seem to have lost a
09:05position I think
09:07give you a quick rundown on the top 10 as you don't have them on the tower on the left
09:10-hand side Sasha Coonan leads the way 5.7 seconds clear of Mattis Valan Valerio Lata third
09:14Janis Raceless ball there is Lata on the screen now in that third place Camden McClellan is fifth ahead of
09:20his teammate Perez and we've got Carlos Raceless
09:22Kai Carsmakers Simon Langenfelder in night feeling under the weather and in 10th place we've got Michela then we've got
09:28Zanotz, Wolval, Evert, Gro and Gunderson taking us down to 15th and then we've got the 199 of Ratowski
09:34ahead of Widerwill Musto, British rider, Corsebeck, Nike Corsebeck and Ben Hoda, Martin Ben Hoda
09:41yeah good to see Ben Musto on his MX2 debut here and there's word of the British Nations squad not
09:48concentrating on the British Championship they want to see what the British riders can do in the 250 class overseas
09:53and that's exactly why Ben Musto is here in Germany trying to push himself against the best in the class
09:58Valerio Lata doing everything right at the moment got a qualifying race win here last year in similar conditions actually
10:05yeah there weren't it wasn't dry on Saturday was it or was it Sunday when we had the rain we
10:09had lots more rain on Sunday but we always get rain
10:12I do remember it raining early on the on the weekend in Germany here and yeah for sure the the
10:16Saturday was a little bit greasy I remember that much I don't think it was as bad as this
10:20or as bad as it was last year on the Sunday Langenfelder making a couple positions there Paul he's got
10:25himself past Kai Carsmakers now so the champion is starting to feel the
10:29yeah Mika has been down again sorry about that yeah that's fine yeah no seal still losing places though by
10:36the looks of it but yeah Langenfelder
10:37starting to feel that it turned out trying to get into it but the closest battle in the top ten
10:41is McClellan trying to catch Yannis Resilis just down by your second and a half right now
10:45and that battle here on screen Yannis Resilis has been caught now by Cameron McClellan McClellan looked like he just
10:50needed what two three laps just to get himself into this race because very easy to make those mistakes
10:55early on pushing too hard too fast too soon on a circuit that will not be that forgiving and obviously
11:02it was Yannis Resilis who
11:03decided to pull the pin first and sort of try and attack the race but it's only got him as
11:08far as what six seconds behind latter and with
11:11McClellan closing right down on him again we will be going down the pit lane shortly but here is that
11:16Mattis Valan up and over
11:18the Liqui Moly Mountain still circulating in second place about seven seconds down on our race leader Sasha Coonan but
11:25once again
11:26last time around Sasha Coonan setting fastest lap after fastest lap purple sectors in and around different parts of the
11:31racetrack on different laps
11:32the quick question is with 18 and a half minutes plus two to go is he just pushing too hard
11:37and if that is the case is this rider right here Valan
11:40Valan perfectly placed to pick up the pieces should they happen yeah you feel that Valan is owed one after
11:46the Switzerland problems that he suffered
11:48there and he gets the message to say legs play that's an interesting one but yeah Valan still after that
11:54elusive win he did win in the MX 250
11:56here in 2024. Right Lisa Leyland is down in pit lane so let's go and catch up with her and
12:03see who she has who is the victim down there in this
12:06first MX2 race I'm just with Steve Dixon Steve a totally different race track to what it was yesterday what
12:13are the challenges of
12:14this race for the guys out there today well it's basically survival of the bike of the rider gloves goggles
12:20um try not to crash and then obviously clutches overheating um just mud getting stuck in there all the gears
12:28and gear lever and
12:29everything like that so yeah it's just um prepare extra mud mud foam and um silicon and yeah just hope
12:38for the best once they get on the line
12:40survival out there isn't it uh Steve before I let you go Kai Cars Mike has he had a couple
12:44of standout rides
12:45didn't he at the beginning of the season currently he's in P9 how is he feeling how's his confidence growing
12:51as he settles into this championship yeah no he's doing really good um we're we're currently just using a stock
12:57engine from a Kawasaki just uh because of our program and using exhaust and that so it's more of a
13:04yeah we could do it in a little bit more power which will come later but so he's doing actually
13:08fantastic and it's um great feedback for Kawasaki for a standard model to be able to race it at GP
13:13level
13:14which is unlike me so it's good best of luck to the team thank you Steve yeah Steve Dixon down
13:20there of course
13:21uh with Kai Cars makers on the Dixon racing Kawasaki we're concentrating there on Mattis Valan in that second
13:26place Liam Evans is making his way through the field he's now been to 11 just passed Xanots a moment
13:30ago whilst that interview was taking place but this circuit now starting to dry out the sun is you know
13:35beaming down circuit drying out we weren't expecting that rain until about four or five o'clock this
13:39afternoon so completely unexpected unprecedented yes the race has become a little bit processional here
13:45in the early stages of MX2 but it's the kind of race that can and will throw a spanner into
13:50works
13:51not necessarily today but maybe further down the line in terms of the championship chase Ben yes
13:56absolutely and um as well as the sun is well you always see the flags flapping here there is always
14:01a strong breeze we've got fields and fields of windmills or whatever they're called air to
14:05remains over the other side of the uh valley here and uh yeah for sure at Toycentile we'll dry out
14:10Camden McClellan down the inside of the honest race this turn four just at the end of lap six here
14:15he we could see that he was pushing pushing and he found his way past the young 17 year old
14:20Latvian
14:20moves up into fourth place and that is going to be a timely move for the number eight on the
14:25triumph
14:27neither rider they're able to uh do that big uh finish line jump because of the lap rider slightly
14:32in the way there uh but yeah regilis now trying to get through and uh yeah trying to get retaliate
14:38with
14:38mcclellan right in front of him now in fourth so camden mcclellan then moving up we've got wave jellos
14:44coming through here as a rider gets stuck in those deep breaths might have been andrea rossi there with
14:49that distinctive orange and yellow uh color weight but uh camden mcclellan it was in the right place at
14:55the right time down this part of the racetrack yesterday when sasha koonen fell around about now
14:59off to the right saw him this morning on the way into the circuit and he said uh i said
15:04you got the double
15:04yesterday and he said yeah he said it might have been handed to me but i'll take it i'll take
15:08it
15:08but he's not off the hook yet look because look at the uh persistence of 772 who's getting ready to
15:14go to latvia one weekend from now at his home grand free janice raceless as he continues to push uh
15:20mcclellan for that fourth place i just wonder whether it was a slight mistake that allowed the south
15:25african just to get on terms and find himself in that pass uh passing opportunity position yeah quite
15:31possibly because the gap did suddenly uh come down it was about a second and a half and then
15:34then the next thing we saw that the south african was going through but they don't call regilis the
15:38killer for nothing and he certainly is going to try and uh advance back to mcclellan because he is
15:43desperate to get higher than these get onto the podium really it's been so close so far oh we've got
15:48a
15:48leader here yeah sasha kuden having a very quiet and lonely ride at the moment 7.9 seconds clear of
15:54matis banan the red bull ktm rider who has had one dnf so far this year that was race two
16:00in argentina
16:00where he had a second in race one didn't finish there in race two got a win in race one
16:05inside
16:06in here you've got two wins in trentino looking for his fourth win of the season and uh looking
16:12to take over the championship lead as well because uh he's going to be six points clear of sasha
16:16of simon langenfelder we've got wave jellos on the finish line jump so he couldn't jump there either
16:21and uh that obviously is going to be safe for everybody that's going to be passing through there so
16:25he's not going to lose or gain any time but uh yeah a crucial race this first race here in
16:30germany
16:31and what did we say at the start of the broadcast simon langenfelder arrived here with uh 11 points and
16:35the championship leaders red plate his home grand prix for the first time in 2025 did it this time around
16:40with an eight point lead and he may be in danger of losing that red plate again deja vu lightning
16:45striking
16:45twice and all the rest of it and how much of that is down to simon langenfelder feeling under the
16:49weather
16:50coming into his home grand prix he's had five weeks off he could have had a cold then he brings
16:55it
16:55here to germany leave it in belgium or wherever it is your living simon it's too much of the air
17:00conditioning with the heat in uh france last weekend but the thing with that langenfelder here i find is
17:04that how many chances do you want to keep giving sasha kunin here that uh poor race at the start
17:08of
17:09trentino too poor a whole poor weekend really in france and sasha kind of mirrored that and again
17:14yesterday and sasha still just clawed back a couple of points if sasha hadn't crashed out of the lead that
17:19would have been a one point margin into this race but now langenfelder eighth and sasha is cashing in
17:26it's one of those races isn't it where you sort of uh you know the old sort of saying you
17:31win your
17:32championships on your worst days not your best days i'm not saying that simon is a shoo-in to win
17:36the
17:36championship of course not because you know if gian ferez says that you know what he was like last week
17:41going well all these podcasters and all the rest of it but look at the gap here as uh the
17:4547 of carless
17:47raceless being closed in on by simon langenfelder maybe he's just getting second wind here the
17:52german he needs to he needs to do something pull something out of the bag just to reduce that
17:56deficit but you do win your championships on your worst days if this is going to be one of the
17:59worst
18:00days that simon langenfelder has to go through this year he had a 10-3 in uh trentino wasn't great
18:06for
18:06six overall then you know what it's these points that are the ones that determine how the outcome of the
18:13championship is decided here he is right in front of his fans though he needs that support around here
18:18the 12th man yeah it's all the words out of my head there uh simon uh uh ball there because
18:23uh yeah
18:23simon is definitely on the case and the fans are digging deep behind him because yeah he really
18:28has to dig deep especially if he's under the weather here we go over liquid molly mountain langenfelder
18:32over on our right the inside as he reaches turn two as uh and if he controls that inside line
18:37carlis
18:38raceless just makes a couple of mistakes runs too wide langenfelder will take that with open arms both
18:43hands and that will move him up into seventh place another point or two gained there by the german
18:48crucial for his title chase yeah you can almost see the big grin on his face as carlis decided to
18:53exit
18:53stage right as they entered that left-handed corner carlis just got his uh wristband checked before he came
18:58back to the track and now he's there in eighth place langenfelder though has a few more seconds to catch
19:02up
19:02so the next rider who is faris and faris is slightly closing on the anis resin is for fifth and
19:08here
19:08is gian ferez so the triumph rider the triumph mx2 factory team rider did he tip over here let's just
19:17have a quick look just legs off he and camden and vincent beraini were watching there in free practice
19:23yesterday looking at the options for outside inside and the things like that so crucial that that was the
19:28case kai cars makers coming into the goggle lane he was in 11th place just behind liam ever
19:32everything there the mechanic can't be go the in front of that board there in the live lane
19:38but he is able to put the goggles on for the pilot but what you're not allowed to do is
19:42we saw
19:42an emx 250 one of the riders being disqualified uh where a rider came in and the mechanic was maybe
19:47just kicking the front end just to try and get rid of some of the dirt off the bike uh
19:51that is deemed as
19:52outside assistance so it's goggles only and that is it otherwise you will be penalized for anything more
19:56than that no uh prep on the bike no absolutely and uh yeah well you pointed out the goggle lane
20:01there
20:01and said it might be important on the gopro lap and uh yeah certainly it was there they were a
20:05bit
20:05sloppy with putting that on there a distinct case of goggle drop i found so gian ferez where is he
20:12in
20:12the greater scheme of things in that championship battle of course he arrived here uh 20 points down
20:17didn't he he's uh 16 going into this race but with sasha kunin leaving the way on a 25 point
20:21hall gian
20:22ferez is only going to be picking up 16 points so uh that gap between first and second is gonna
20:27go
20:27in the opposite direction to what he wanted but uh in that respect he will try and just get through
20:33this race here and see what race two brings because obviously from that side you just never know we
20:40don't even know how this one's going to turn out nine and a half minutes plus two still remain
20:44and as a circuit it's almost like you need to completely carry on raining because it dilutes
20:49the surface of the ground but i don't know with the sand that they brought in on top of the
20:53clay
20:53whether that would dilute and make it mushy or whether it just makes it even deeper and stickier
20:58as you saw an emx 250 so maybe it's a good thing that things are drying out because it's going
21:02to make
21:02it so much easier for the track crew just to completely open up these corners after mxgp race
21:08one so it's one of those isn't it damned if you do damned if you don't and uh riders just
21:12got to
21:12deal with it but there is one definitive race line maybe two inside or outside that are becoming drier
21:18anything off of that you're in into the deep unknown quite literally oh langenfelder down langenfelder
21:24at a seventh position they can't believe it down there on pit lane so langenfelder then all of a
21:29sudden he has to uh continue that but that was uh you know sort of the sasha kunin camp hands
21:35over
21:35the mouth thinking oh have we just gained points yeah of course the team that simon was with last
21:40year of course the uh decali ktm outfit simon now with the uh austrian side of the red bull ktm
21:45fracture racing squad neomeves is creeping up the order slowly as well he's got michela now here's how
21:50he did it coming out of the final turn just folds the front and then just tips over only lost
21:54one position
21:56kept the clutch in crucially so he's able to pick it up i mean these things at electric start anyway
21:59and uh i think it was carlis raceless that did manage to regain that seventh place so
22:05just as things were looking to make a decent turn in the second half of the race
22:09yeah and the goggles just got thrown there just as you look to more to be pulled i just saw
22:12him on there
22:13just ditched the goggles on the side so now he might have to escape into the goggle lane because he's
22:17going to be catching that riders he's three seconds behind carlis now he's got to dig deep to get that
22:21point back again sometimes you know when you do tip over or over jump things like that i'm not saying
22:28that he's uh sweating there he's uh he's still got his goggles on actually there so he's probably just
22:32struggling with the tear-offs maybe it was the uh the helmet foam then yeah but uh sometimes gonna
22:37say if it was the goggles as i was looking at the screen and you were focusing on the racing
22:41yeah the
22:42peak is sorry yeah yeah that's what it is was sorry so here's jannis raceless then continues to
22:48circulate in fifth sandwich between the two tribes mcclellan at the top of the hill ferez all over
22:52the back of him back marker here 71 morgan bernati the gap back to uh mcclellan 6.3 then mcclellan
23:03has
23:03over raceless but raceless cannot afford to relax here because the other triumph gian ferez will be
23:08all over him like a rash if he's not careful sasha kunan has perfectly say that in inverted commas and
23:14fingers and legs crossed here as i'm sat in the aircon booth fingers crossed he is 7.4 clear and
23:20controlling this race perfectly at the moment let's touch that wood let's just touch that wooden desk
23:27we've got here and uh yeah your point about the uh the bikes paul of course yeah when it rains
23:31yeah the mud falls off but looking at the bikes like ferez there the the mud guards don't seem to
23:36have that sort of characteristic sort of floppy sensation when they're just so packed with dirt and
23:40dirt sticks to the bike it doesn't seem to be like that it must be that new surface i say
23:44bring back
23:45the uh aluminium but maybe now titanium mud guard sort of uh you know sort of strength of the old
23:51cowl yes they used to sort of sit them on the front plate there just to stop any snappage or
23:55breakage or any flex in muddy races oh well we're going back a few years there that is going back
24:01yeah
24:01absolutely i've mangled one of those i've mangled most things on the bike usually so sasha kuning
24:06continues to lead six and a half seconds clear of valand latter great ride for valerio latter then
24:11for the italian this is going to be his first visit into the top three in 2026 he got a
24:15couple of
24:16fourth places both in race two in spain and switzerland but to see him back here in top three
24:20for uh hrc patronus he'll be pleased with that so too will the team this is sasha kuno no no
24:25we've got
24:25a replay coming up here is this just dealing with traffic or well getting cross-rutted maybe because
24:31he had his eye taken off the ball there as he came to lap that slower rider but stays on
24:36two wheels
24:36sasha kunan and mickall keeps biting her fingernails as she tends to do yeah latter great to see him
24:44putting in a good one here third he is a bit decent in the mud and uh yeah he obviously
24:48won
24:49at qualifying race last year twice fourth uh as well last year so he does like this place replay of
24:54the
24:54start coming up then i believe over on the right hand side gate number five sasha kunan got sandwiched
25:02initially between the ferez triumph and the kawasaki of valand but look how he just muscled his way
25:09through there to get that foxhole shot for the seventh time this season and from there he's continually
25:14continually controlled the race six seconds now the gap between him and valand with just under five
25:19minutes plus two laps to go lap times now two minutes and fourteen sasha kunan did set a best lap
25:25of two
25:25ten on the opening uh lap or lap four yeah and uh the best thing i i can see from
25:32sasha's point of
25:33view is his times are kind of similar to the others so he's not pushing as on the limit as
25:38uh as he could
25:39be or as he has been known to do so yeah from that side sasha is controlling it much uh
25:43in a much better
25:44way than you perhaps not in the past steam on langenfelder right back onto the rear wheel of the monster
25:48energy amaha of carless race list again so making that mistake in this corner two or three laps to go
25:52losing that seventh place langenfelder all over the back of the other latvian the older of the racial eye
26:00as we reach the end of lap 11 we now move into lap 12 with these two look at the
26:03landing zone
26:04there and all those deep ruts you definitely don't want a side of oj there because you will be pulled
26:09off the motorcycle in quick fashion landing in those ruts but this is going to be an interesting
26:16battle simon langenfelder knows he's got a dig dig we know he's riding under the weather he said his nose
26:20was you know he just ran out of energy chasing his running nose over the course of the night because
26:25he's feeling under the weather got a cold he's nasal and all the rest of it so sometimes motocross can
26:31be unforgiving in other ways you know sickness is one of those things you don't need and when you have
26:36to
26:36ride through it and you have to grind out a result could have been worse could have been 30 degrees
26:40could have been last week in france and with these conditions where you really do feel it and when
26:46you are under the weather like that then there's nothing worse than these kind of conditions on a
26:49hot day but fortunately for him at home here in germany it's the usual minus six yeah for sure
26:57yeah it's not warm today and that's uh yeah he will be thankful for that of course it was warmer
27:01yesterday
27:01like nice bright blue skies which might explain uh you know how poor his uh his qualifying race was
27:06but still toysintal never seems to treat him very well one podium over the years and uh yeah langenfelder
27:12now with his red plate well and truly under threat as it stands yeah that's going to be six points
27:17back the other way behind sasha kuden going into race two there's still time though to pick off let's
27:22say carless race this got some more work to do to try and get onto the rear wheel of ferez
27:26but uh it's
27:27going to definitely take a mistake or two in langenfelder's favor for him to claw back any more
27:32points than that if he finds his way past raceless at least carless raceless of course red bull ktm
27:37sasha kunin just dancing his way around this race track just perfectly poised and it is one of those
27:44tracks where you have to ride it not race it and respect the conditions respect the race track in this
27:48instance because when it's high speed everybody thinks they can go fast in a flat out straight line
27:54but that's when the circuit also bites back but got to be very very much on the money and on
28:00the top
28:00of your game because one false sort of uh moment in one of these ruts again is sasha kunin just
28:06having
28:06to lift the right leg off the right peg because maybe just catching the edge of a rut and pulling
28:10up to the left you just never know what can happen in these kind of conditions no absolutely and of
28:16course
28:16you cannot take it that easy through these trucks as well you have to keep the power on to get
28:19through
28:19them and you know if you back off part way through you're overbalanced you're in deep trouble
28:23valand has been chipping away a little bit he's come back down to five and a half he was quick
28:27about half a second in that first sector so valand is not giving up and you can see that by
28:31the way
28:31he's looking across the track looking for that red bull ktm he it does want this win it's going to
28:36be
28:37tall order with a little over maybe three or four laps to go but yeah valand is not giving up
28:43and just
28:43applying that pressure so sasha knows he is there yeah i think there's been a response from sasha as well
28:48because it was 5.3 a moment ago it's now 6.3 so uh just in that sector alone sector
28:532 33 5 34 3
28:56between the top two but mattis valand came so close to picking up that first race win didn't he
29:01uh everts langenfelder and everts have both found their way past carlis raceless so langenfeld up to
29:06seven everts up to eight carlis raceless has made a mistake and that is the reason why he has lost
29:11those positions and it's coming out of this left turn out of turn seven on the entry into the dragon's
29:16back turn six sorry and that is a mistake from carlis raceless langenfelder getting a let off there
29:22yeah very handy for langenfelder it means now it's a five point gap at the end of this race if
29:26you
29:27it stays like this and uh he's got a mighty gap to catch up to far as ahead of him
29:32so yeah that's not
29:33looking likely for any improvement all he's got to do is pray that uh sasha has an issue or the
29:37valand
29:37can make the difference but right now it's looking unlikely that sasha just went through the uh the uh
29:42finish line there so we've got three laps to go just with seconds to spare giving everybody an extra lap
29:46they won't think they won't like it for that his team might not like him for that yet we don't
29:51know
29:51yet continues to push on came so close to that first race win didn't he in uh in uh switzerland
30:01mcclennan up to third latter down to fourth where did that happen sector three is massively 12 seconds
30:06slower for latter so latter making a mistake in section three on the circuit then paul so yeah that's where
30:12mcclennan has got through and then he responds with his best sector four yet of the race so and
30:16uh lots are still losing positions great for the triumph rider then of canon mcclennan who will
30:20advance into the top three mcclennan no stranger to the top three positions this year you've got a
30:26couple of seconds in the first couple of rounds you've got a win there to win the spanish grand
30:29free got three two last time out in france for second overall and here he is again in that third
30:34place he's took he's taken janice raceless to 772 with him as well as latter now drops down to fifth
30:39place so all of a sudden janice raceless picking off another couple of points it's gonna be another fourth
30:45place finish as it stands right now for the latvian kicked off his campaign with the fourth in race
30:51one in argentina got another fourth in italy uh sardinia race one came so close to winning a race
30:58in france potentially as well obviously came through with three laps to go seven seconds on the clock
31:03might have been the thing that kind of just finished him off with the pressure from guillem
31:07ferez behind him but it was ferez who eventually came home and took that victory in race two in france
31:11last time out but great effort rookie season from the latvian here he's been super impressive and
31:16the best thing about it for me has been not just impressive in flashes but consistently impressive
31:20three times fifth overall i think four times fifth overall now so yeah for sure he's building that
31:25consistency and all it needs is just a bit more experience like you say he's still very much a
31:29teenager and lots of time ahead of him but mcclennan in third now that's moving him to within three
31:35points of everts they he started this race ten points behind the belgians so yeah for mcclennan
31:40this is looking at fantastic for him shame for later though that mistake it would have been really
31:46nice to see lads to deliver that third place he's had a rough season so far and he hasn't really
31:50moved forward i feel from last year and uh yeah this would have been a real tonic for him
31:54tarot's just flapping on the side of the year goggles there of jenis raceless riders tend to not to like
31:59that you know if you have one thing that is just going to be triggering you hear that flapping that
32:03crisp rattle in the in the ear all there but uh depending you know obviously when you've got
32:07conditions like this you're fully focused on the job you don't even notice it so much it's also one
32:12of those you know it can work both ways but things aren't going well it's all like what's that what's
32:16this what's that what's the front brake lever here or there or whatever else sasha kunin working his way
32:21back towards us here he is on his penultimate lap oh sorry two laps to go here there is the
32:27land he's
32:28got the gap down and he's all of a sudden pulled the fastest lap out of the race
32:31two ten point three two kunin's two eleven point two in their first and second
32:36there as liquid molly jump arrives for sasha kunin valand just behind the back marker here that is
32:41what about four point nine seconds looks like of course two laps to go still got a lot of work
32:48to do
32:48but look how the track is right out here over there on the right hand side left hand side opening
32:52up this
32:53corner here into this turn again riders taking to the outside look the lighter line there is a lot drier
32:58into that bank so this is how the uh the racetrack is pretty much developed anything between that
33:03inside and outside right there very very deep very unpredictable you just don't know whether you're
33:07going to end up in australia uh in the process yeah of course there's the only explanation for a
33:14lap time that fast this late in the race is that it's just developing aha responses
33:19whoa sasha there just uh setting the fastest sector in sector three so he
33:23he can feel the heat i'm sure he can look across in those switchbacks and see the kawasaki coming
33:27of course the bright green sticks out but he's put that back up to 6.2 now so a great
33:32response for
33:32the belgian and as we say that we get to sector three and it comes back down to 5.5
33:36look at this
33:37just a little twitch there and i'm not just talking about the rear end the leg and the rear end
33:41of that
33:42motorcycle both feeling it as well but we are we're making our way towards the finish line here and the
33:48one lap board sasha kunin has done a great job of leading this race right from the very first lap
33:52and when you think of sasha kunin in terms of uh laps led so far 69 laps leading into this
33:58race
33:58and obviously here we are now uh it's going to be another 15 at least as he hits the line
34:04now maybe
34:06even 16 as he leads the lap chart in most laps led in 2026 but he starts at being on
34:12point seven fox
34:14hole shots in 2026 he won the mx2 category for fox hole shots last year uh i think he won
34:18the
34:18achieve his fastest lap as well didn't he yeah i believe so yeah he just has that innate speed
34:23the aggression of the start and uh yeah obviously taking into his visual his physical attributes into
34:29account uh yeah i mean this but what he's always put himself in a good position that's what he does
34:34but
34:34he then has gotten himself out of out of those good positions with those crashes so it's great to see
34:39him doing this one this is uh evans and langenfelder these two fighting over seven are just a little
34:45bit too quick too rushed into those ruts there for evans looked like he was about to challenge for
34:51seventh position but it cost him more time than he gained langenfelder off the hook there in seventh
34:56place gap down to five points at the top of the championship between sasha kunin who will lead the
35:01championship he won't run the red plate going into race two but he will be the championship leader the red
35:06plates won't be dished out until the podium depending on where the championship is and so from that
35:12perspective it's sasha kunin though who does lead the championship langenfelder will still go to the
35:17line with the championship leaders red plate in race two more weather like this though i tell you
35:22what this will do the track wonders for mxgp but those lines now have been established i think so
35:28unfortunately for the mx2 riders they are just a handful of corners left to run and sasha kunis
35:33struggling over that hump once more yeah it just seems to get it mixed up on that part of the
35:37track
35:37really getting ragged through there but uh yeah for sure this is a great uh tonic for sasha kunis
35:42to lead the championship now going straight on didn't want to be in those ruts having to go past the
35:47back marker rider down on the top of the jump there so wheels on the ground looked like a triumph
35:53maybe
35:53bonati but as we work our way across the front of the start gate for the final time and it's
35:59the final two
35:59corners this has been textbook for sasha kunin on the red bull ktm and not only is he going to
36:05win
36:05the first race here he's also going to take over the championship lead as we head into race two by
36:10five points over simon langenfelder the german who arrived here with the championship leaders red plate
36:17kunin wins race one here in germany and will lead the championship as we head into race two big win
36:23big
36:24moment for sasha kunin ben rumbold wow pumped with that look how pumped he is he knows that uh he
36:29did
36:30exactly what he needed to do there he got the start but he did not throw it away and that
36:33is the big
36:34moment for sasha kunin valand continues to be knocking on the door of that race win a fine second
36:39place matches his career best of course and mcclellan great news for him as well he is getting closer and
36:44closer to recovering former red plate holder of course and he's trying to recover that championship
36:49position after the troubles in switzerland but yeah for sure really good mattis valand over the line in
36:53second place mcclennan over the line in third racialist yannis racialist for valerio latter just
36:58hangs on to that fifth place ahead of guillem ferez but ever horrible there langenfelder tips over in
37:08front of him ever's nowhere to go runs over the german and this is going to be costly we were
37:13talking about
37:13a five point gap it's going to be even more than that now two corners to go and all of
37:18a sudden
37:19langenfelder is going to be at sixes and sevens ever crosses the line in seventh place does langenfelder
37:25hang on for eight we're about to see him over the line now yes he does he loses a point
37:30it goes back out
37:31to seven points uh six points as we uh as langenfelder hits the line we thought it was just starting
37:40to
37:40be i don't know watch this here just falls to front ever's nowhere to go oh i tell you what
37:48takes a
37:50little bit of rump steak there with him at that rear wheel as well doesn't he he's going to be
37:53sore in
37:53the morning langenfelder probably doesn't feel it at the moment but he'll certainly feel it when he gets
37:57back to the truck but ever it's picking up seventh in the most unlikely ways
