00:00Eagles, Giants, the great Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, Saquon Barkley, Super Bowl champions.
00:08They demolished the Giants. They own the Giants.
00:10And then here come the Giants on a Thursday night with 20,000 Eagle fans in their building
00:16and a rookie quarterback in Jackson Dart and a rookie fullback playing tailback in Cam Scadabo.
00:22And what happened last night?
00:24Woo!
00:25The sports god said, New York, we feel for you.
00:29We're going to give you one.
00:31And the New York Giants not only saved their season for the moment, but saved the jobs of both Joe Shane and Brian Dable last night
00:41with a thorough ass-kicking of the Philadelphia Eagles, who are now officially a fractured, broken team at 4-2.
00:51They got held scoreless in the second half of last night's game.
00:55And you would have thought that Tom Brady got resurrected and jumped onto the field rocking a Giants blue jersey in the name of Jackson Dart.
01:06It was crazy.
01:07The New York Giants last night looked like an actual football team.
01:12Their defense, fantastic.
01:14Pressure on the quarterback, stopping the run after the first series of the game, where Saquon had 30 yards on his first two carries.
01:22Offensively, lost our best player, the New York Giants said.
01:26The media said, you have no passing game.
01:28And then Jackson Dart said, I'll make do with what I have.
01:31I'll throw for just under 300 yards.
01:34I'll score like nine touchdowns last night.
01:36And I remind Philly that, yes, we recognize and we do respect you are defending Super Bowl champions.
01:42There's a chance, albeit a small one, that you'll figure this out and get back to the playoffs and make a deep playoff run.
01:48I don't know, maybe to another Super Bowl.
01:51But for last night, for three hours of our lives, the New York Giants dominated the Philadelphia Eagles.
02:01And let's all be honest about it.
02:03We enjoyed every second of it.
02:05Watching Nick Sirianni curse into his headset.
02:08Watching Jalen Hurts on the sideline by himself, because he ain't got no friends on that team.
02:13With his little laptop trying to figure out, why did I throw that pass and have it intercepted in return for 68 yards?
02:21Effectively ending the game.
02:23And then the best part of all, the best part of all, you have this Fred Flintstone character for the New York Giants, Cam Scadaboo,
02:31who's becoming the most popular guy in the league, who ran over and through the Eagles defense.
02:37Now, look, I don't want to get crazy.
02:39The New York Giants are not making the playoffs, in my opinion.
02:42And ultimately, I think they're going to be on the outside looking in.
02:46But for one night last night, it's why we came up with the phrase, Tyrone and I, many years ago, you may not know this, but we came up with it, any given Sunday.
02:54That's right.
02:55On Thursday.
02:56Which is our phrase.
02:57Someone else came up with any given Sunday.
02:59We then took it and said, any given Sunday on Thursday.
03:02Yeah, that's what we get credit for.
03:04We trademarked it, so don't try to steal it right now.
03:06We own that bitch.
03:07And we're going to use it.
03:08Because that's what happened yesterday.
03:11The Giants, off the embarrassing loss to the Saints, with seemingly nothing to play for other than trying to save the coaches and general managers' job,
03:19and, sure, develop a young quarterback, were playing in the deep end yesterday.
03:24The Eagles are still a really good football team.
03:27But let's call it the way it is.
03:29We know from the Giants' perspective, they're now building a young quarterback, and it does look like he's got all the makings of a star.
03:36He's going to struggle still.
03:39Yesterday was his best game of the three that he has played, and the other two games aren't even close.
03:44He threw for 111 yards in his first game against the Chargers.
03:47They lost to the Saints, five turnovers, five consecutive possessions.
03:52Last night was money.
03:53Last night was why Brian D'Abel has been so high on him, and why Giants fans finally felt like they got a little energy.
04:00They got goosed last night.
04:01Cam Scadaboo, all of a sudden, Larry Zonka's back, running the football.
04:07You know, white guy, white guy.
04:08Yeah, it's a good comparison.
04:09It's a good comparison.
04:10That's the best I got.
04:11He played just like him.
04:12Frank Gifford's running the football again.
04:14Frank Gifford.
04:14For the Giants.
04:15But the Eagles are in trouble.
04:16So let's focus for a second on the Eagles.
04:18I still think the Eagles' talent-wise are as good as any football team on the planet.
04:22But there's clearly a problem, and it's no longer a Super Bowl hangover.
04:26Now it's tangible.
04:27Now it's back-to-back losses for a team that should never lose back-to-back games.
04:32And to be fair, is better position by position from a talent standpoint than damn near every other guy in the Giants roster.
