00:00As we begin to step from late spring into early summer weather patterns, we see an increase in strong and
00:06severe thunderstorms in the northern part of the plains.
00:08We're talking about the Dakotas and Nebraska especially.
00:11There will also be showers and storms in the southeast this weekend, but as we look at the strongest of
00:15the storms, we're moving into places like Nebraska and western South Dakota.
00:20So the sandhills of Nebraska and areas around the Black Hills of western South Dakota will face some damaging wind
00:26and some hail.
00:26There will also be strong storms on Saturday afternoon and evening all the way down through the southern plains and
00:32into parts of west Texas with some widely separated but still intense hail and wind producers.
00:37The strongest storms, though, Rapid City, down to areas around Valentine and North Platte, Nebraska, hail and damaging winds as
00:44well as obviously the lightning danger.
00:46On Sunday, a new episode will develop in a similar area, eastern Montana through the Dakotas.
00:51And on Sunday night, look for some of those thunderstorms to rumble all the way southeast, perhaps to near St.
00:57Louis.
