00:00So we are going to force the government's hand to release the defense investment plan. And before I bore all
00:05your listeners about talking about another government document, this really is central to how we do defense.
00:10So it's the blueprint for how taxpayers money is going to be spent on the defense industry and our armed
00:15forces over the coming years to confront the threats that we face in the international system.
00:20And we all know how volatile the world is becoming. The government have put their head in the sand. They
00:25said they were going to release this document nine months ago.
00:27It's still nowhere to be seen. They use these horrible sort of management speak terms, just working at pace. It
00:33means nothing.
00:33So we've been working hard on this for the last couple of years, and we are going to force the
00:37government's hands to release this plan to give to give the assurance to our defense industry that they know where
00:43money is coming from.
