00:00Clearly there's more to do on the part of achieving 3.5% by 2035, which is our international commitment.
00:07We've got to make sure, as well as investing more in defence, that we are also getting more out of
00:14the money that we're putting in,
00:15delivering better value for money, better procurement, modernisation.
00:19And this is exactly what I did when I was the health secretary.
00:22I simultaneously asked for more money to invest in our health services at the same time as making sure that
00:28money was better spent and modernising the NHS.
00:30It's that same reformist approach that I'll be taking as defence secretary.
