00:00You know, Rick, you are the best person on the planet to ask this question to
00:04when it comes to women, Yaba.
00:06You know, people are making all kinds of comparisons to him.
00:09He's seven feet.
00:09He's got a three-point jump shot.
00:12He's a rebounder, 41-24-7.
00:15Hell, you probably saw that every time you tipped it off versus Wilt
00:19when Wilt was on the floor.
00:20I mean, is there anything?
00:23He's 22 years of age.
00:25Do you see some of the Chamberlain stuff in this kid?
00:29No, he'll never be able to be like Wilt because Wilt was so powerful physically.
00:33Wilt was just empowering.
00:35I mean, incredibly strong, incredibly athletic as well.
00:39Not as mobile as Wimby is, but Wimby is his own unique self.
00:44He's what I call enigmas, a guy who plays the position
00:47and is different than anybody else who's ever played it, and certainly that's him.
00:51And he's going to continue to get better.
00:53He'll get more experience.
00:55He's got to learn to be able to get a little bit more strength
00:58to be able to overpower some people, and he's got to do more inside.
01:02I mean, come on.
01:02When Caruso was guarding him, for him not to be in the post all day long
01:06just dominating was crazy.
01:08I just don't understand why they're not doing that
01:10and why they've got him out in the perimeter.
01:12For God's sake, the last game, he was rarely, rarely in the middle.
01:16Then he gets in, he tries to dribble and all that stuff,
01:18and he picks up charges and fouls, and he's a little out of control.
01:21I thought he had a really poor game, and I thought it was a poor game plan
01:25for the last game for the Spurs.
01:28Do they have enough of a supporting cast around him
01:31to help elevate him even more, and can he elevate that supporting cast?
01:35Is that maybe the difference a little bit?
01:37Because you mentioned it in the first block when it came to the bench.
01:40You know, OKC's bench was just insane in game two.
01:45Is that maybe the difference also is the depth level you've seen
01:47with Oklahoma City?
01:49Well, for sure.
01:50It actually was that way in game one and two as well.
01:52I mean, Oklahoma City's bench has been dominant,
01:55and they're going to either have to get better performances
01:58out of the starters, I'm talking about the Spurs,
02:00and have some of the other guys off the bench step up.
02:02I'm surprised that they haven't maybe tried some of the experience
02:05to guys that they have on the bench to give them an opportunity
02:08because experience means a lot.
02:10And they've got a lot of young guys.
02:12I mean, the Castles had like 11 turnovers in one game,
02:15but they still won.
02:16But they're also hurting themselves with the number of turnovers.
02:18You have to take care of the basketball.
02:20It's a very precious commodity come playoff time
02:22because the defense is being played.
02:24You don't have as many opportunities,
02:26and you can't negate your opportunities by turning the ball over
02:30and not getting a chance to do it.
02:31So it was interesting to watch and see how they played.
02:36Again, I just don't like the way a lot of these teams play defense.
02:40Where they get too many wide-open three-point shots.
02:43As a coach, I would minimize the number of three-point shots,
02:47even to the point that if a guy gets by his guy
02:49and he goes to the basket,
02:50don't leave him to try to stop the two-point shot
02:52by leaving a three-point shooter,
02:54and they kick it out, and the guy gets a wide-open three.
02:56I mean, that happened a lot for Oklahoma City in those games.
03:00So they've got to stop that, and they've got to get Wemby more involved
03:04and get him more involved down low.
