00:00But I'll say this, Big Seals, San Antonio is still live here, folks.
00:05I don't want to discount how good of a job Mitch Johnson has done with this team.
00:11They obviously go into Oklahoma City.
00:13They won a game seven.
00:14They've been down two games to one before.
00:16They haven't been down two games.
00:17So this is a pivotal game for San Antonio.
00:20And listen, they got Wembe going in the second half of game two.
00:25And I thought that was key for them.
00:27The guy I think they need to get going is Stephon Castle, who to me, with all due respect,
00:35to every other guard, Harper, Champagny, you know, Vassell, Brunson, Bridges, Hart,
00:42he is the most athletic gifted player on that court, and it's not even close.
00:49If I'm Stephon Castle and I'm Mitch Johnson, I'm telling him when I drive to the basket,
00:54stop worrying about fouls and finish through people, because that is the guy I think is
01:00now that they've got Wembe going, they've got to get Stephon Castle going a little bit.
01:05His three-pointer has been decent, but his pull-ups and the finish has been tough.
01:09Stephon Castle is going to be a big key for San Antonio in game number three.
01:13J-Way, tell me this if you think this is an issue.
01:15You've got a team that's average age, is 22 years old, okay?
01:22They're ahead of schedule, I think a lot of people think right now, right?
01:26How much is learning how to win?
01:28You know, it's one thing to knock off OKC and the defending champs.
01:32You know how sometimes you put all your chips in, you've got to knock the champ off.
01:37Doesn't it look like a little bit of a letdown after the OKC series here?
01:42Is this all about learning how to win and learning to be a champion?
01:47I think so, Big Sales.
01:49If you really look at it, they celebrated a lot after winning against OKC.
01:58If you remember when the Knicks won in Cleveland, I remember Cap putting his arm around Brunson
02:03and saying, we got four more.
02:05We got four more.
02:07It's almost more business-like for the Knicks.
02:11And I think that is the thing.
02:13When you are young, learning how to win in big situations is the toughest thing to do.
02:22San Antonio didn't even make the playoffs last year, Big Sales.
02:24What about the Knicks?
02:26They've won one round since 2022 since Brunson's been there, right?
02:31They went Eastern Conference semifinals, Eastern Conference finals, NBA finals.
02:35They've had two 20-point wins coming back versus Boston, and obviously in game one and game two
02:41in Eastern Conference finals last year.
02:43So they're more comfortable in their skin in these tight spots.
02:48That's why if you're San Antonio, Big Sales, you have to win.
02:52And I think you've got to win by double digits.
02:54Because if that game is close, if it's one possession down the stretch, I'm sorry.
03:01Jalen Brunson could be three for 90.
03:04I'm taking Brunson in that spot.
03:07I'm taking the Knicks to get the rebound, to get the steal, to get the rotation right,
03:11to call the timeouts, to look for the ball on an outlet.
03:15You don't know until you've been there, Sills, and now they're there,
03:20and the Spurs are figuring it out.
03:22It's a lot harder to win in the finals.
03:24No doubt.
03:25You know what it almost looks like, mental fatigue, that, you know,
03:28you get up 14 points on the Knicks, and the Knicks just come crawling back on you like that.
03:34That also has to take a little bit of, I would think, a little bit of a beating there,
03:39too, mentally there if you're the Spurs, right?
03:41You've got these leads.
03:42You think you're putting teams away, and the Knicks crawl back and end up beating you.
03:46You keep doing that over and over again, JY?
03:49That's how you lose, dude.
03:52Yeah, listen, man, it's like that kid that keeps leaving the stove on,
03:57and you keep touching the stove, and you think you learned your lesson,
04:01and you don't learn your lesson, and when the game is close,
04:04you put your hand on the stove, the Brunson burner will get you,
04:09and he's gotten them a couple of times.
04:11But I'll tell you this right now, New York, stand up, buckle up,
04:15get your electrolytes, eat your bananas, have your Gatorade,
04:20eat your pasta before the game, because it's going to be wild at MSG tomorrow night.
