00:21over those 48 minutes of game landed for you.
00:30You know, there's two ways to look at the Wemby thing.
00:34Number one, the flagrant foul, listen,
00:39you can say what you want about game three if you thought it was a flagrant foul.
00:43I thought it was a one, definitely was not a two.
00:47But when they did not give them the flagrant foul one,
00:51they were going to watch Wemby like a Hawks game four.
00:55And anything close, they were going to call it.
00:58So when the foul happened with Cat,
01:03this was different than him getting mixed up with Alvarado in game two.
01:07This is different than hitting Brunson in game three.
01:10He generally did not mean what to do what he did.
01:14Because he immediately went down and tried to touch Cat like,
01:17yo, my bad, my bad.
01:19But Wemby being 7-4, Kevin, he plays with the ball high.
01:24That's just, you know, it's the old Mike Rice, take space or take your face.
01:28But sometimes he leads with the elbow and not with the ball, right?
01:33So that's how he gets hit with it.
01:34That was the first thing that turned around and that made Wemby change his game.
01:38Because his aggressiveness now was like, hey, if I get another one, right,
01:44I'm out next game.
01:45Not only that, if I get another one, I could be going to take this game as well.
01:50So he changed his whole dynamic, not getting to the basket, rolling to the rim.
01:55Number two, Mitch Johnson, who's going to get a ton of smoke in this show,
02:03and deservedly so, he showed how much he was panicking.
02:10Wemby typically takes a rest in the third quarter about five minutes, six minutes in.
02:18They take him out, right, Kevin?
02:20Put Luke Cornett in.
02:21They give him about a four-minute breather.
02:23He gets the last minute of the third.
02:26He gets that two-and-a-half-minute rest during the, obviously, change of quarter.
02:30And then he plays the majority of the fourth, maybe with a rest in the fourth as well.
02:34Kevin, he sat for 53 seconds.

02:40With the Knicks still up by like 18, 19 points.
02:44So Mitch Johnson even said to you, uh-oh, this is going to be in trouble.
02:49But a guy that has never played a full season, and now he's playing a full season,
02:56and the playoffs, you're now expecting a guy that you should be playing 36, 37 minutes,
03:02and now you're expecting him to play 43 minutes.

03:06How is this kid supposed to make it to the finish line, Kev?
03:09It's not possible.
03:11The kid's been sucking wind every game in this series in the fourth quarter.
03:15So you give him less rest?
03:17So, yeah, Webby's elbow, yes, but Mitch Johnson's got to take a big blame for this
03:23for how he subbed him in the third quarter.
03:27I really do think, you know, and Coach and I spoke a little bit the other day.
03:32If you said, hey, we're not passing blame, who gets the most?
03:36I think Mitch Johnson is my answer.
03:39However, Victor Webinyama is actually in a class that we've attempted to put other guys in
03:50that weren't really it.
03:55And I'm going to go, let's not just go with the recent examples, okay?
04:00Victor Webinyama is not just in a conversation, okay, to me that Shea or Jokic or Giannis didn't get into.
04:18Victor Webinyama is on a trajectory that Steph Curry and Kevin Durant also never got in.
04:27It is very, very clear that Victor Webinyama, after all this wondering, is the heir apparent to LeBron James.
04:39And you know if I'm saying that, that means something.
04:43But it's true.
04:45It really is.
04:46When shows following a New York Knicks finals victory lead with what'd you make a Wemby's game,
05:00you know you're the guy at 22.
05:06And I am very okay with the struggles and low points of Victor Webinyama leading the conversation.
05:18Because that's what matters most.
05:21Because that's what happens when, at this point in Wemby's career,
05:27not being one of the 10 greatest players of all time would feel like a disaster.
